Na spomen imena Roberta Rodrigueza filmofilima u sjećanje naviru barem dva kultna filma iz 1990-tih, Mariachi i Desperado te isto toliko klasika iz prošlog desetljeća, poput Sin citya i Machete. Sve njih ujedinjuje osebujan autorski stil, pun prenaglašenog nasilja, pirotehnike i osobenjaka tarantinovskog tipa. Posljednjih godina Rodriguez se primirio gotovo do nestanka s radara, da bi se sad na mala vrata ušuljao u mainstream trilerom ‘Hipnotiziran‘.

‘Hipnotiziran‘ film

No, za njegov imidž bilo bi bolje da nije napuštao ‘comfort zonu‘ artističkog filma jer se u konvencionalnim formama ne snalazi bogzna kako. A mogao je Rodriguezov žanrovski izlet i bolje proći jer je kao redatelj i koscenarist na raspolaganju imao relativno iskoristivu priču o vladinim hipnotizerima koji su kadri svojim sposobnostima preokrenuti naglavce ljudsko ponašanje, a time i tijek povijesti.

Potporu mu je ponudila i glavna zvijezda: Ben Affleck nakratko se odrekao režije da bi stao pred kameru i podsjetio nas koliko glumačkog žara još tinja ispod pepela. Affleck svoj lik rastrojenog teksaškog detektiva i očajnog oca Dannya Rourkea iznosi minuciozno i s dosta štofa, no od toga mu nema koristi jer se našao u konfuznom filmu gdje se miješanje zbilje i fantazije odvija u vrtlogu zbrčkane i neuvjerljive fabule. Uzalud se Rodriguez laća nadrealnih ‘vizuala‘ koji mirišu na dosjetke iz Inceptiona i Teneta. I ta su dva ZF djela zbog napadnih distorzija prostora i vremena mnogima bila nepronična i teško probavljiva ali su makar imala neke natruhe high concepta kakav ovdje izostaje.

Uglavnom, ‘Hipnotiziran‘ sukladno svom nazivu, pokušava hipnotizirati gledatelja događajima koji se pred njegovim očima stihijski kotrljaju i sudaraju s obratima skroz lišenima efekta šoka. Od glumačke postave se osim Afflecka nitko ne odlijepi dovoljno da bi ostao zapamćen ili barem na tren zaintrigirao ponašanjem svog aktera. William Fichtner bio je najbliži, no ni njegov dijabolični junak Dellrayne se, osim donekle pojavom, nije uspio nametnuti kao ultimativno zlo.

Brazilka Alice Braga kao vračara alias odmetnuta agentica Odjela za hipnozu trudi se iz svoje junakinje iscijediti što više supstance, ali trud je uzaludan jer filmska Diana Cruz ispadne tek nemaštovito osmišljena pratilja naslovnog lika. Problem je i što se u Rodriguezovu trileru dramska napetost rasplinjava baš ondje gdje bi trebala biti u uzletu, pa kao rezultat imamo koloplet protagonista s čijom se pričom ne možemo poistovjetiti. I ključni pojam manipulacije hipnozom u filmu je traljavo predstavljen i još lošije elaboriran pa na kraju samo zbunjuje i iritira.

Kako se ovaj, minutažom na sreću ne predug, film bliži kraju, težište radnje premješta se prema djevojčici Minnie koja je valjda trebala cijeli uradak dovesti u višu dimenziju. Unatoč pristojnoj izvedbi dviju dječjih glumica, Rourkeova filmska kći ne odmiče dalje od prosječne starmale zlopogleđe kao posuđene iz B horrora. Njezine hipnotičke sposobnosti koje dozrijevaju s godinama posebna su besmislica. Teško je razabrati što je osim prijateljstva s redateljem Bena Afflecka privuklo ovom djelu koje ime dijeli s popularnom pjesmom Dina Dvornika. Tko zna, možda je u svemu upliva imala i – hipnoza.

Na spomen imena Roberta Rodrigueza filmofilima u sjećanje naviru barem dva kultna filma iz 1990-tih, Mariachi i Desperado te isto toliko klasika iz prošlog desetljeća, poput Sin citya i Machete. Sve njih ujedinjuje osebujan autorski stil, pun prenaglašenog nasilja, pirotehnike i osobenjaka tarantinovskog tipa. Posljednjih godina Rodriguez se primirio gotovo do nestanka s radara, da bi se sad na mala vrata ušuljao u mainstream trilerom ‘Hipnotiziran‘.

No, za njegov imidž bilo bi bolje da nije napuštao ‘comfort zonu‘ artističkog filma jer se u konvencionalnim formama ne snalazi bogzna kako. A mogao je Rodriguezov žanrovski izlet i bolje proći jer je kao redatelj i koscenarist na raspolaganju imao relativno iskoristivu priču o vladinim hipnotizerima koji su kadri svojim sposobnostima preokrenuti naglavce ljudsko ponašanje, a time i tijek povijesti.

Potporu mu je ponudila i glavna zvijezda: Ben Affleck nakratko se odrekao režije da bi stao pred kameru i podsjetio nas koliko glumačkog žara još tinja ispod pepela. Affleck svoj lik rastrojenog teksaškog detektiva i očajnog oca Dannya Rourkea iznosi minuciozno i s dosta štofa, no od toga mu nema koristi jer se našao u konfuznom filmu gdje se miješanje zbilje i fantazije odvija u vrtlogu zbrčkane i neuvjerljive fabule. Uzalud se Rodriguez laća nadrealnih ‘vizuala‘ koji mirišu na dosjetke iz Inceptiona i Teneta. I ta su dva ZF djela zbog napadnih distorzija prostora i vremena mnogima bila nepronična i teško probavljiva ali su makar imala neke natruhe high concepta kakav ovdje izostaje.

Uglavnom, ‘Hipnotiziran‘ sukladno svom nazivu, pokušava hipnotizirati gledatelja događajima koji se pred njegovim očima stihijski kotrljaju i sudaraju s obratima skroz lišenima efekta šoka. Od glumačke postave se osim Afflecka nitko ne odlijepi dovoljno da bi ostao zapamćen ili barem na tren zaintrigirao ponašanjem svog aktera. William Fichtner bio je najbliži, no ni njegov dijabolični junak Dellrayne se, osim donekle pojavom, nije uspio nametnuti kao ultimativno zlo.

Brazilka Alice Braga kao vračara alias odmetnuta agentica Odjela za hipnozu trudi se iz svoje junakinje iscijediti što više supstance, ali trud je uzaludan jer filmska Diana Cruz ispadne tek nemaštovito osmišljena pratilja naslovnog lika. Problem je i što se u Rodriguezovu trileru dramska napetost rasplinjava baš ondje gdje bi trebala biti u uzletu, pa kao rezultat imamo koloplet protagonista s čijom se pričom ne možemo poistovjetiti. I ključni pojam manipulacije hipnozom u filmu je traljavo predstavljen i još lošije elaboriran pa na kraju samo zbunjuje i iritira.

Kako se ovaj, minutažom na sreću ne predug, film bliži kraju, težište radnje premješta se prema djevojčici Minnie koja je valjda trebala cijeli uradak dovesti u višu dimenziju. Unatoč pristojnoj izvedbi dviju dječjih glumica, Rourkeova filmska kći ne odmiče dalje od prosječne starmale zlopogleđe kao posuđene iz B horrora. Njezine hipnotičke sposobnosti koje dozrijevaju s godinama posebna su besmislica. Teško je razabrati što je osim prijateljstva s redateljem Bena Afflecka privuklo ovom djelu koje ime dijeli s popularnom pjesmom Dina Dvornika. Tko zna, možda je u svemu upliva imala i – hipnoza.
