Pjesma ‘Majko stara‘ kojom je Matko Jelavić 1988. godine debitirao na Splitskom festivalu i postigao nevjerojatan uspjeh trajno je obilježila njegovu karijeru, piše Slobodna Dalmacija.
Zahvaljujući toj pjesmi strelovito je počela pjevačeva samostalna karijera, na Prokurativama je osvojio nagradu publike i priznanje za najboljeg debitanta.
‘Majko stara‘ proglašena je najvećim hitom bivše Jugoslavije u 1988. godini, a Jelavić je zahvaljujući njoj prodao više od 600.000 nosača zvuka, te održao golem broj koncerata u zemlji i inozemstvu.

Ne iznenađuje stoga što je na svojim turnejima često izvodi i naš instrumentalni duo 2Cellos kojeg čine violončelisti Luka Šulić i Stjepan Hauser . Bilo je tako i sredinom prosinca na njihovoj turneji po Australiji.
Matko Jelavić nam priznaje kako već dulje vremena do njega dolaze snimke izvedbe te pjesme u aranžmanu 2Cellosa s kojom je izrazito nezadovoljan.
- Dosad su već preko 20 puta izveli ‘Majko stara‘ i uvijek je na isti način interpretiraju. Koriste taj moj hit jer dobro znaju da je jedna od najboljih hrvatskih pjesama svih vremena. Međutim, to kako oni rade je blago rečeno katastrofa. Pa pogledajte i poslušajte tu snimku, na što vam to nalikuje - pita se Matko.

- Strane hitove obrade bez greške, a ‘Majko stara‘ doslovno izmasakriraju! Osim toga, nikad me nisu tražili dozvolu za izvedbu, niti sam dobio prihod od tih silnih izvođenja po svijetu, ali to je sad manji problem. Ako još samo jednom izvedu ‘Majko stara‘, ovim putem čvrsto tvrdim da ću ih zbog toga tužiti - odlučno će splitski glazbenik.
Jelavić je čak dvaput pisao Hauseru s molbom da 2Cellos prestane izvoditi ‘Majko stara‘.

- Živio mi Hauser, molim te nemojte više ovako jadno izvoditi moju pjesmu. Ili je napravite kako treba ili je nemojte više svirati - stoji u poruci koju je poslao Matko.
Od Stjepana je potom dobio odgovor izrazito vulgarnog sadržaja. Poruku smo vidjeli, ali je zbog teških prostačkih riječi nećemo objaviti.
Pitamo Matka je li očekivao da će Hauser tako postupiti.

- Odgovor je bio toliko nepristojan i bezobrazan. Bahato, kao da sam ja nešto njima dužan. Moram vam priznati da me nije iznenadio, ne znam zašto, kao da sam očekivao da to neće biti akademski način razgovora. Pričao sam prije nekoliko godina s njegovim ocem, jako je ugodan, čuo sam i za mamu da je pristoja žena - ističe Jelavić.
Ubrzo nakon što mu je od Hausera stigao SMS, shvatio je i da ga je Stjepan blokirao kako bi onemogućio svaku daljnju komunikaciju.
Na idućem koncertu u Perthu 2Cellosi ipak nisu izvodili ‘Majko stara.‘
- Nadam se da je neće više nikad svirati i hvala Bogu na tome! - zaključuje Matko Jelavić.

Tijekom dana nekoliko smo puta pokušali doći do Stjepana Hausera, no nije nam odgovarao na upite.
Podsjetimo, duo 2Cellos nastao je 2011. godine kada su Šulić i Hauser, inače bivši polaznici zagrebačke Muzičke akademije, nakon dugogodišnjeg sviranja klasične glazbe na violončelima obradili pjesmu ‘Smooth Criminal‘ Michaela Jacksona .
Obradom rock i pop pjesama održavali su koncerte po cijelom svijetu, a 2018. godine su uoči finala nogometne Lige prvaka odsvirali himnu tog natjecanja na stadionu u Kijevu.

Iako su se službeno raspali i svatko nastavio samostalnu karijeru, Šulić i Hauser, koji je jedno vrijeme hodao s Jelenom Rozgom , ipak i dalje znaju nastupiti kao 2Cellos, pa su tako u prosincu 2022. bili na turneji po Australiji i Novom Zelandu.

Pjesma ‘Majko stara‘ kojom je Matko Jelavić 1988. godine debitirao na Splitskom festivalu i postigao nevjerojatan uspjeh trajno je obilježila njegovu karijeru, piše Slobodna Dalmacija.
Zahvaljujući toj pjesmi strelovito je počela pjevačeva samostalna karijera, na Prokurativama je osvojio nagradu publike i priznanje za najboljeg debitanta.
‘Majko stara‘ proglašena je najvećim hitom bivše Jugoslavije u 1988. godini, a Jelavić je zahvaljujući njoj prodao više od 600.000 nosača zvuka, te održao golem broj koncerata u zemlji i inozemstvu.

Ne iznenađuje stoga što je na svojim turnejima često izvodi i naš instrumentalni duo 2Cellos kojeg čine violončelisti Luka Šulić i Stjepan Hauser . Bilo je tako i sredinom prosinca na njihovoj turneji po Australiji.
Matko Jelavić nam priznaje kako već dulje vremena do njega dolaze snimke izvedbe te pjesme u aranžmanu 2Cellosa s kojom je izrazito nezadovoljan.
- Dosad su već preko 20 puta izveli ‘Majko stara‘ i uvijek je na isti način interpretiraju. Koriste taj moj hit jer dobro znaju da je jedna od najboljih hrvatskih pjesama svih vremena. Međutim, to kako oni rade je blago rečeno katastrofa. Pa pogledajte i poslušajte tu snimku, na što vam to nalikuje - pita se Matko.

- Strane hitove obrade bez greške, a ‘Majko stara‘ doslovno izmasakriraju! Osim toga, nikad me nisu tražili dozvolu za izvedbu, niti sam dobio prihod od tih silnih izvođenja po svijetu, ali to je sad manji problem. Ako još samo jednom izvedu ‘Majko stara‘, ovim putem čvrsto tvrdim da ću ih zbog toga tužiti - odlučno će splitski glazbenik.
Jelavić je čak dvaput pisao Hauseru s molbom da 2Cellos prestane izvoditi ‘Majko stara‘.

- Odgovor je bio toliko nepristojan i bezobrazan. Bahato, kao da sam ja nešto njima dužan. Moram vam priznati da me nije iznenadio, ne znam zašto, kao da sam očekivao da to neće biti akademski način razgovora. Pričao sam prije nekoliko godina s njegovim ocem, jako je ugodan, čuo sam i za mamu da je pristoja žena - ističe Jelavić.
Ubrzo nakon što mu je od Hausera stigao SMS, shvatio je i da ga je Stjepan blokirao kako bi onemogućio svaku daljnju komunikaciju.
Na idućem koncertu u Perthu 2Cellosi ipak nisu izvodili ‘Majko stara.‘
- Nadam se da je neće više nikad svirati i hvala Bogu na tome! - zaključuje Matko Jelavić.

Tijekom dana nekoliko smo puta pokušali doći do Stjepana Hausera, no nije nam odgovarao na upite.
Podsjetimo, duo 2Cellos nastao je 2011. godine kada su Šulić i Hauser, inače bivši polaznici zagrebačke Muzičke akademije, nakon dugogodišnjeg sviranja klasične glazbe na violončelima obradili pjesmu ‘Smooth Criminal‘ Michaela Jacksona .
Obradom rock i pop pjesama održavali su koncerte po cijelom svijetu, a 2018. godine su uoči finala nogometne Lige prvaka odsvirali himnu tog natjecanja na stadionu u Kijevu.

Iako su se službeno raspali i svatko nastavio samostalnu karijeru, Šulić i Hauser, koji je jedno vrijeme hodao s Jelenom Rozgom , ipak i dalje znaju nastupiti kao 2Cellos, pa su tako u prosincu 2022. bili na turneji po Australiji i Novom Zelandu.
