Poput svakog tipičnog automobila, kuće ili društva, brzina kojom se dijelovi našeg tijela raspadaju razlikuje se od dijela do dijela. Studija koju su vodili istraživači Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta Stanford, potpomognuti stručnjacima Sveučilišta u Washingtonu, Kalifornijskog sveučilišta u San Franciscu, Medicinskog fakulteta Alberta Einsteina i medicinski centra Montefiore, pokazala je da naši organi stare različitim brzinama. A kad je starost nekog organa posebno veća u usporedbi s drugim ljudima iste dobi, to povećava rizik od bolesti povezanih s tim organom i raniju smrt, piše Bug.hr.

Intervencija prije simptoma

Prema istoj studiji svaka peta naizgled zdrava osoba starija od 50 godina u sebi nosi barem jedan organ koji stari jako ubrzano. Dobra je vijest da se takav organ može locirati uz pomoć jednostavnog krvnog testa i onda primijeniti odgovarajuću terapiju mnogo prije nego što se pojave klinički simptomi.

Iz proteina u krvnoj plazmi može se pomoću algoritma iščitati starenje pojedinog organa  Tony Wyss-Coray i dr.

"Možemo procijeniti biološku starost organa kod naizgled zdrave osobe. To zauzvrat predviđa rizik osobe za bolest povezanu s tim organom", tvrde istraživači u radu koji objavljuje časopis Nature.

11 ključnih organa

Znanstvenici su dosad iznašli više načina na koji će nizom biomarkera izračunati nečiju biološku dob koja se ne mora poklapati kronološkom dobi, odnosno brojem godina koje su prošle od nečijeg rođenja. Nova studija otišla je korak dalje jer je izračunala brojke za svaki od 11 ključnih organa, organskih sustava ili tkiva: srce, masno tkivo, pluća, imunološki sustav, bubreg, jetra, mišić, gušteraču, mozak, vaskulaturu i crijeva.

Kad su usporedili biološku starost svakog od ovih organa za svakog pojedinca s drugim ljudima bez očitih teških bolesti, otkrili su da je 18,4% starijih od 50 godina imalo barem jedan organ koji stari znatno brže od prosjeka. Te su osobe, kažu, pod povećanim rizikom od bolesti tog organa u sljedećih 15 godina. Svaki 60. čovjek imalo dva organa koja biološki stare većom brzinom i kod tih ljudi rizik od smrti uvećava se 6,5 puta.

Poput svakog tipičnog automobila, kuće ili društva, brzina kojom se dijelovi našeg tijela raspadaju razlikuje se od dijela do dijela. Studija koju su vodili istraživači Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta Stanford, potpomognuti stručnjacima Sveučilišta u Washingtonu, Kalifornijskog sveučilišta u San Franciscu, Medicinskog fakulteta Alberta Einsteina i medicinski centra Montefiore, pokazala je da naši organi stare različitim brzinama. A kad je starost nekog organa posebno veća u usporedbi s drugim ljudima iste dobi, to povećava rizik od bolesti povezanih s tim organom i raniju smrt, piše Bug.hr.

Intervencija prije simptoma

Prema istoj studiji svaka peta naizgled zdrava osoba starija od 50 godina u sebi nosi barem jedan organ koji stari jako ubrzano. Dobra je vijest da se takav organ može locirati uz pomoć jednostavnog krvnog testa i onda primijeniti odgovarajuću terapiju mnogo prije nego što se pojave klinički simptomi.

Iz proteina u krvnoj plazmi može se pomoću algoritma iščitati starenje pojedinog organa  Tony Wyss-Coray i dr.

"Možemo procijeniti biološku starost organa kod naizgled zdrave osobe. To zauzvrat predviđa rizik osobe za bolest povezanu s tim organom", tvrde istraživači u radu koji objavljuje časopis Nature.

11 ključnih organa

Znanstvenici su dosad iznašli više načina na koji će nizom biomarkera izračunati nečiju biološku dob koja se ne mora poklapati kronološkom dobi, odnosno brojem godina koje su prošle od nečijeg rođenja. Nova studija otišla je korak dalje jer je izračunala brojke za svaki od 11 ključnih organa, organskih sustava ili tkiva: srce, masno tkivo, pluća, imunološki sustav, bubreg, jetra, mišić, gušteraču, mozak, vaskulaturu i crijeva.

Kad su usporedili biološku starost svakog od ovih organa za svakog pojedinca s drugim ljudima bez očitih teških bolesti, otkrili su da je 18,4% starijih od 50 godina imalo barem jedan organ koji stari znatno brže od prosjeka. Te su osobe, kažu, pod povećanim rizikom od bolesti tog organa u sljedećih 15 godina. Svaki 60. čovjek imalo dva organa koja biološki stare većom brzinom i kod tih ljudi rizik od smrti uvećava se 6,5 puta.

Poput svakog tipičnog automobila, kuće ili društva, brzina kojom se dijelovi našeg tijela raspadaju razlikuje se od dijela do dijela. Studija koju su vodili istraživači Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta Stanford, potpomognuti stručnjacima Sveučilišta u Washingtonu, Kalifornijskog sveučilišta u San Franciscu, Medicinskog fakulteta Alberta Einsteina i medicinski centra Montefiore, pokazala je da naši organi stare različitim brzinama. A kad je starost nekog organa posebno veća u usporedbi s drugim ljudima iste dobi, to povećava rizik od bolesti povezanih s tim organom i raniju smrt, piše Bug.hr.

Intervencija prije simptoma

Prema istoj studiji svaka peta naizgled zdrava osoba starija od 50 godina u sebi nosi barem jedan organ koji stari jako ubrzano. Dobra je vijest da se takav organ može locirati uz pomoć jednostavnog krvnog testa i onda primijeniti odgovarajuću terapiju mnogo prije nego što se pojave klinički simptomi.

Iz proteina u krvnoj plazmi može se pomoću algoritma iščitati starenje pojedinog organa  Tony Wyss-Coray i dr.

"Možemo procijeniti biološku starost organa kod naizgled zdrave osobe. To zauzvrat predviđa rizik osobe za bolest povezanu s tim organom", tvrde istraživači u radu koji objavljuje časopis Nature.

11 ključnih organa

Znanstvenici su dosad iznašli više načina na koji će nizom biomarkera izračunati nečiju biološku dob koja se ne mora poklapati kronološkom dobi, odnosno brojem godina koje su prošle od nečijeg rođenja. Nova studija otišla je korak dalje jer je izračunala brojke za svaki od 11 ključnih organa, organskih sustava ili tkiva: srce, masno tkivo, pluća, imunološki sustav, bubreg, jetra, mišić, gušteraču, mozak, vaskulaturu i crijeva.

Kad su usporedili biološku starost svakog od ovih organa za svakog pojedinca s drugim ljudima bez očitih teških bolesti, otkrili su da je 18,4% starijih od 50 godina imalo barem jedan organ koji stari znatno brže od prosjeka. Te su osobe, kažu, pod povećanim rizikom od bolesti tog organa u sljedećih 15 godina. Svaki 60. čovjek imalo dva organa koja biološki stare većom brzinom i kod tih ljudi rizik od smrti uvećava se 6,5 puta.
