Ovotjedni snažan potres s epicentrom na granici između Crne Gore i Bosne i Hercegovine, koji se ozbiljno osjetio u  Dubrovniku, profesor s Geofizičkog odsjeka Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta u Zagrebu Josip Stipčević osjetio je na licu mjesta. Upravo je ovih dana Stipčević u Dubrovniku prezentirao  projekt  ‘DuFAULT‘, kojemu je cilj istražiti potrese koji prijete ovom najtrusnijem području u Hrvatskoj, o kojem smo već pisali ovdje .

Radi se o projektu postavljanja sustava seizmografa i mapiranja nekih aktivnih rasjeda pokrenutom prije tri godine i financiranom od strane Hrvatske zaklade za znanost o kojem je Stipčević sada govorio za t-portal. 

Na sastanku u Županiji predstavljena je i nova mreža seizmografa DuNET koja zahvaljujući upravo provedbi projekta DuFAULT broji dodatnih 8 seizmoloških postaja. Izneseni su i planovi budućih istraživanja, daljnjeg razvoja mreže seizmografa na području Dubrovačko-neretvanske  županije te predstavljen način rada nove tehnologije monitoringa seizmičnosti. Ova istraživanja, osim našeg područja, obuhvaćaju i područje Bosne i Hercegovine što je značajno prvenstveno radi točnog određivanja epicentara potresa. Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija se, kao partner, u provedbu projekta uključila putem Stožera civilne zaštite posebno pružajući pomoć u pronalaženju podobnih lokacija za postavljanje seizmografa. Trenutačno se provode aktivnosti na postavljanju još jednog seizmografa na području Konavala, te ugradnji infrastrukture s DAS tehnologijom (Distributed Acoustic Sensing), koja bi postojeće optičke kabele koristila kao detektore za potrese čime bi se omogućio ustroj svojevrsnog sustava ranog upozoravanja.

Prije nešto više od deset godina, naime, Hrvatska je odobrila istraživanja jadranskog podmorja u projektu pronalaska ležišta ugljikovodika. Ti podaci su pohranjeni u Agenciji za ugljikovodike i sada su iskorišteni kako bi se izradile karte aktivnih rasjeda u podmorju južnog Jadrana. Ostao je nerazjašnjen još nekoliko kilometara širok pojas blizu obale, a pretpostavljamo da je upravo na tom području bio izvor katastrofalnog potresa iz 17. stoljeća‘, objašnjava Stipčević.

On otkriva da se podmorski sustav rasjeda postavljen paralelno jedan uz drugoga i da je cijeli niz aktivan. Protežu se sjeverno prema Šipanu i južno prema Crnoj Gori i krivci su za katastrofalni potres iz 1979. godine.

‘Uvijek treba naglasiti da se potresi ne mogu predvidjeti, ali da ih se može očekivati posebno na seizmički aktivnim područjima poput juga Dalmacije.  Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija to dobro radi i preventivno se priprema: između ostalog vode računa o svom sustavu civilne zaštite, izradili su evakuacijske rute i provjerili stanje bolnice kako bi ona eventualno poslužila kao ‘hot spot‘, odnosno lokacija okupljanja‘, otkriva nam ovaj profesor zagrebačkog PMF-a.Simulacije i preliminarni 3D modeli su zasad dostupni na stranicama projekta DuFAULT, no najavljeno je da će uskoro biti prilagođene laicima i dostupne na posebnom internetskom portalu, rekao je među ostalim Stipčević za t-portal.

Ovotjedni snažan potres s epicentrom na granici između Crne Gore i Bosne i Hercegovine, koji se ozbiljno osjetio u  Dubrovniku, profesor s Geofizičkog odsjeka Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta u Zagrebu Josip Stipčević osjetio je na licu mjesta. Upravo je ovih dana Stipčević u Dubrovniku prezentirao  projekt  ‘DuFAULT‘, kojemu je cilj istražiti potrese koji prijete ovom najtrusnijem području u Hrvatskoj, o kojem smo već pisali ovdje .

Radi se o projektu postavljanja sustava seizmografa i mapiranja nekih aktivnih rasjeda pokrenutom prije tri godine i financiranom od strane Hrvatske zaklade za znanost o kojem je Stipčević sada govorio za t-portal. 

Na sastanku u Županiji predstavljena je i nova mreža seizmografa DuNET koja zahvaljujući upravo provedbi projekta DuFAULT broji dodatnih 8 seizmoloških postaja. Izneseni su i planovi budućih istraživanja, daljnjeg razvoja mreže seizmografa na području Dubrovačko-neretvanske  županije te predstavljen način rada nove tehnologije monitoringa seizmičnosti. Ova istraživanja, osim našeg područja, obuhvaćaju i područje Bosne i Hercegovine što je značajno prvenstveno radi točnog određivanja epicentara potresa. Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija se, kao partner, u provedbu projekta uključila putem Stožera civilne zaštite posebno pružajući pomoć u pronalaženju podobnih lokacija za postavljanje seizmografa. Trenutačno se provode aktivnosti na postavljanju još jednog seizmografa na području Konavala, te ugradnji infrastrukture s DAS tehnologijom (Distributed Acoustic Sensing), koja bi postojeće optičke kabele koristila kao detektore za potrese čime bi se omogućio ustroj svojevrsnog sustava ranog upozoravanja.

Prije nešto više od deset godina, naime, Hrvatska je odobrila istraživanja jadranskog podmorja u projektu pronalaska ležišta ugljikovodika. Ti podaci su pohranjeni u Agenciji za ugljikovodike i sada su iskorišteni kako bi se izradile karte aktivnih rasjeda u podmorju južnog Jadrana. Ostao je nerazjašnjen još nekoliko kilometara širok pojas blizu obale, a pretpostavljamo da je upravo na tom području bio izvor katastrofalnog potresa iz 17. stoljeća‘, objašnjava Stipčević.

On otkriva da se podmorski sustav rasjeda postavljen paralelno jedan uz drugoga i da je cijeli niz aktivan. Protežu se sjeverno prema Šipanu i južno prema Crnoj Gori i krivci su za katastrofalni potres iz 1979. godine.

‘Uvijek treba naglasiti da se potresi ne mogu predvidjeti, ali da ih se može očekivati posebno na seizmički aktivnim područjima poput juga Dalmacije.  Dubrovačko-neretvanska županija to dobro radi i preventivno se priprema: između ostalog vode računa o svom sustavu civilne zaštite, izradili su evakuacijske rute i provjerili stanje bolnice kako bi ona eventualno poslužila kao ‘hot spot‘, odnosno lokacija okupljanja‘, otkriva nam ovaj profesor zagrebačkog PMF-a.Simulacije i preliminarni 3D modeli su zasad dostupni na stranicama projekta DuFAULT, no najavljeno je da će uskoro biti prilagođene laicima i dostupne na posebnom internetskom portalu, rekao je među ostalim Stipčević za t-portal.
