Ove godine Dubrovnik je domaćin projekta Digitalnih nomada-ambasadora, cjelogodišnje rotacije digitalnih nomada u Gradu, a jedna od njih je i pionirka ovog posla i načina života, Birtanka Han Talbot. Ovo joj je već treća rotacija na jugu Hrvatske u ovoj godini.

-To znači da sam ‘zaražena’ Gradom. Iako sam provela četiri tjedna u Gradu, usred zime, nemam se na što požaliti. Slogan Turističke zajednice ‘Grad za sva godišnja doba’ zaista je točan, to mi je potvrdilo ono što mi je i moj domaćin rekao pri dolasku - došla si u najbolje doba godine. I zaista je tako, od karnevala, pa do toga ga imam Grad samo za sebe, uz divno vrijeme, i činjenicu da sve mogu pogledati i osjetiti bez pritiska i gužve - neprocjenjivo!”

Kako je uopće živjeti i raditi kao nomad, Han objašnjava:

-Pomalo kao da si freelancer, treba za to promijeniti mentalni sklop. Izaći iz utvrđenog, poznatog, ono u što nas društvo gura u jedan neovisni stil života, gdje sam sebi određuješ baš sve, i to nije lako. Sve je drugačije od onoga što vidite po društvenim mrežama, nije to baš high life, iz toga stoji jako puno rada i organizacije. Ponekad zna biti i baš jako teško, sam si, često usamljen, ovisiš samo o sebi i svojoj volji, a chat online nije isto što i socijalni kontakt uživo.”

Han dodaje kako taj stil života zaista nije za svakoga, no za nju je to kao stvoreno. Od djetinjstva do danas nekako je sve vodilo tome, pa je, već kao odrasla dala otkaz na ‘regularnom’ poslu i krenula ostvariti svoj san. Od učenja stranih jezika i kultura, studiranja u Brazilu, nakon toga putovanja, a potom i odluke - idem u to, može jedino biti bolje, Han se odvažila i slijedila svoj san.

Na pitanje je li Dubrovnik dobar izbor za grad digitalnih nomada, Han odgovara:

-Mislim da jest. Gledajući s praktične strane, slobodan i besplatan Wi-Fi imam u gotovo svakom objektu. Ipak, s društvene strane, ovaj dio treba malo ‘pobrusiti’, vjerojatno će s vremenom to biti bolje, ali općenito govoreći, uvijek se ima toliko toga za vidjeti i raditi i van sezone, i van zidina, i kad je kiša i bura, da ga nomadi obožavaju.”

O onome što Dubrovniku fali, Han dodaje kako to nije čak ni mana. Veća zajednica digitalnih nomada bila bi veliki plus, poput onih koje imaju veliki gradovi poput Splita i Zagreba. A inače, kaže, Grad ima sve što i nomadi ali i obični turisti itekako vole.

-Ono što posebno volim u ovom Gradu jest taj ležerni, lagani stil života, taj mentalni sklop, potraga za ugodnim, finim, ukusnim, mirnim... Možda je to jer nikad nisam bila u gradu usred ljetne sezone (smijeh) ali mislim da i tad vlada to ‘pomalo’. To čini ovaj grad divnim mjestom za život!”

Ove godine Dubrovnik je domaćin projekta Digitalnih nomada-ambasadora, cjelogodišnje rotacije digitalnih nomada u Gradu, a jedna od njih je i pionirka ovog posla i načina života, Birtanka Han Talbot. Ovo joj je već treća rotacija na jugu Hrvatske u ovoj godini.

-To znači da sam ‘zaražena’ Gradom. Iako sam provela četiri tjedna u Gradu, usred zime, nemam se na što požaliti. Slogan Turističke zajednice ‘Grad za sva godišnja doba’ zaista je točan, to mi je potvrdilo ono što mi je i moj domaćin rekao pri dolasku - došla si u najbolje doba godine. I zaista je tako, od karnevala, pa do toga ga imam Grad samo za sebe, uz divno vrijeme, i činjenicu da sve mogu pogledati i osjetiti bez pritiska i gužve - neprocjenjivo!”

Kako je uopće živjeti i raditi kao nomad, Han objašnjava:

-Pomalo kao da si freelancer, treba za to promijeniti mentalni sklop. Izaći iz utvrđenog, poznatog, ono u što nas društvo gura u jedan neovisni stil života, gdje sam sebi određuješ baš sve, i to nije lako. Sve je drugačije od onoga što vidite po društvenim mrežama, nije to baš high life, iz toga stoji jako puno rada i organizacije. Han dodaje kako taj stil života zaista nije za svakoga, no za nju je to kao stvoreno. Od djetinjstva do danas nekako je sve vodilo tome, pa je, već kao odrasla dala otkaz na ‘regularnom’ poslu i krenula ostvariti svoj san. Od učenja stranih jezika i kultura, studiranja u Brazilu, nakon toga putovanja, a potom i odluke - idem u to, može jedino biti bolje, Han se odvažila i slijedila svoj san.

Na pitanje je li Dubrovnik dobar izbor za grad digitalnih nomada, Han odgovara:

-Mislim da jest. Gledajući s praktične strane, slobodan i besplatan Wi-Fi imam u gotovo svakom objektu. Ipak, s društvene strane, ovaj dio treba malo ‘pobrusiti’, vjerojatno će s vremenom to biti bolje, ali općenito govoreći, uvijek se ima toliko toga za vidjeti i raditi i van sezone, i van zidina, i kad je kiša i bura, da ga nomadi obožavaju.”

O onome što Dubrovniku fali, Han dodaje kako to nije čak ni mana. Veća zajednica digitalnih nomada bila bi veliki plus, poput onih koje imaju veliki gradovi poput Splita i Zagreba. A inače, kaže, Grad ima sve što i nomadi ali i obični turisti itekako vole.

-Ono što posebno volim u ovom Gradu jest taj ležerni, lagani stil života, taj mentalni sklop, potraga za ugodnim, finim, ukusnim, mirnim... Možda je to jer nikad nisam bila u gradu usred ljetne sezone (smijeh) ali mislim da i tad vlada to ‘pomalo’. To čini ovaj grad divnim mjestom za život!”

Britanska pionirka digitalnih nomada stalno se vraća Dubrovniku: Ljepote Grada i njegovih ljudi zauvijek su me ‘zarazile’!

Ove godine Dubrovnik je domaćin projekta Digitalnih nomada-ambasadora, cjelogodišnje rotacije digitalnih nomada u Gradu, a jedna od njih je i pionirka ovog posla i načina života, Birtanka Han Talbot. Ovo joj je već treća rotacija na jugu Hrvatske u ovoj godini.

-To znači da sam ‘zaražena’ Gradom. Iako sam provela četiri tjedna u Gradu, usred zime, nemam se na što požaliti. Slogan Turističke zajednice ‘Grad za sva godišnja doba’ zaista je točan, to mi je potvrdilo ono što mi je i moj domaćin rekao pri dolasku - došla si u najbolje doba godine. I zaista je tako, od karnevala, pa do toga ga imam Grad samo za sebe, uz divno vrijeme, i činjenicu da sve mogu pogledati i osjetiti bez pritiska i gužve - neprocjenjivo!”

Kako je uopće živjeti i raditi kao nomad, Han objašnjava:

-Pomalo kao da si freelancer, treba za to promijeniti mentalni sklop. Izaći iz utvrđenog, poznatog, ono u što nas društvo gura u jedan neovisni stil života, gdje sam sebi određuješ baš sve, i to nije lako. Sve je drugačije od onoga što vidite po društvenim mrežama, nije to baš high life, iz toga stoji jako puno rada i organizacije. Ponekad zna biti i baš jako teško, sam si, često usamljen, ovisiš samo o sebi i svojoj volji, a chat online nije isto što i socijalni kontakt uživo.”
