Ryanair otvara sezonsku bazu na dubrovačkom aerodromu, najavljeno je to na konferenciji za medije u Zračnoj luci Ruđer Bošković na kojoj su govorili komercijalni direktor irskog Ryanaira Jason McGuinness i glavni direktor Zračne luke Ruđer Bošković Viktor Šober.

- Veliko mi je zadovoljstvo da možemo najaviti nešto što smo pripremili posljednjih mjeseci. Ryanair će za početak imati dva bazirana aviona, a novi avioni koji dolaze u Dubrovnik stvaraju 40 posto manje buke, to je doprinos održivosti zračnog prometa, a sugrađani koji žive blizu aerodroma će sigurno imati nešto od toga, to je najnovija tehnologija. Pripremili smo 18 linija, dvije smo imali, to je bio Beč i Dublin. Želim zahvaliti Gradu Dubrovniku, Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji, turističkim zajednicama, svima koji su sudjelovali u ovom procesu. Imali smo podršku vlasničke strukture, a glavni cilj je zima, imat ćemo tri cjelogodišnje linije: Beč, London i Dublin. Napravili smo prvi iskorak i nadam se da će turistički sektor slijediti dogovore koje smo postigli i da će grad oživjeti na puno bolji način tijekom zime. Ovim dogovorom Dubrovnik radi dodatan iskorak u turističkom segmentu i profilira se kao city break destinacija, rekao je Šober te dodao:

- Ryanair počinje s ljetnom sezonom, s planom da od 18 destinacije, tri ostanu cjelogodišnje tako da očekujemo dosta zanimljivu sljedeću zimu. Očekujem da će ti letovi biti popularni ne samo za goste koji će nam dolaziti, nego i našim sugrađanima. Imat ćemo zanimljivu zimu sa zanimljivim destinacijama. Radimo s Ryanairom, s Croatia Airlinesom i s destinacijama koje su izvan Europske unije, zaključio je Šober.

McGuinness je najprije zahvalio partnerima iz dubrovačke zračne luke, ali i lokalnoj samoupravi. Predstavio je Ryanair te naglasio kako su troškovi za putnike Ryanaira prije i poslije pandemije korone ostali isti, dok su kod drugih kompanija skočili. Najavio je daljnje investicije u Hrvatsku. Istaknuo i kako dva Ryanairova aviona koji će u budućnosti dolaziti u Dubrovnik, Boeing 8-200, spadaju u avione koji minimalno opterećuju okoliš.

Sezonska baza kreće s radom od travnja 2024., a uz dvije postojeće linije prema Beču i Dublinu, uvode se novih 16 linija od Dubrovnika. Tako će irska niskotarifna aviokompanija grad podno Srđa povezivati sa sljedećim destinacijama: Berlinom, Bruxellesom, Helsinkijem, Londonom, Milanom, Parizom, Rimom, Stockholmom, Wroclawom, Oslom, Baden-Badenom, Memmingenom, Krakowom, Manchesterom, Düsseldorfom i Poznanom, a u prvih 12 mjeseci očekuje se više od 600 tisuća putnika.

- Veliko mi je zadovoljstvo da možemo najaviti nešto što smo pripremili posljednjih mjeseci. Ryanair će za početak imati dva bazirana aviona, a novi avioni koji dolaze u Dubrovnik stvaraju 40 posto manje buke, to je doprinos održivosti zračnog prometa, a sugrađani koji žive blizu aerodroma će sigurno imati nešto od toga, to je najnovija tehnologija. Pripremili smo 18 linija, dvije smo imali, to je bio Beč i Dublin. Želim zahvaliti Gradu Dubrovniku, Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji, turističkim zajednicama, svima koji su sudjelovali u ovom procesu. Imali smo podršku vlasničke strukture, a glavni cilj je zima, imat ćemo tri cjelogodišnje linije: Beč, London i Dublin. Napravili smo prvi iskorak i nadam se da će turistički sektor slijediti dogovore koje smo postigli i da će grad oživjeti na puno bolji način tijekom zime. Ovim dogovorom Dubrovnik radi dodatan iskorak u turističkom segmentu i profilira se kao city break destinacija, rekao je Šober te dodao:

- Ryanair počinje s ljetnom sezonom, s planom da od 18 destinacije, tri ostanu cjelogodišnje tako da očekujemo dosta zanimljivu sljedeću zimu. McGuinness je najprije zahvalio partnerima iz dubrovačke zračne luke, ali i lokalnoj samoupravi. Predstavio je Ryanair te naglasio kako su troškovi za putnike Ryanaira prije i poslije pandemije korone ostali isti, dok su kod drugih kompanija skočili. Najavio je daljnje investicije u Hrvatsku. Istaknuo i kako dva Ryanairova aviona koji će u budućnosti dolaziti u Dubrovnik, Boeing 8-200, spadaju u avione koji minimalno opterećuju okoliš.

Sezonska baza kreće s radom od travnja 2024., a uz dvije postojeće linije prema Beču i Dublinu, uvode se novih 16 linija od Dubrovnika.
