Imamo svoj mir, svoj đir. Uz uvjet da si zdrav, lijepo nam je.

Više vremena posvećujemo sebi, nastojimo sačuvati funkcionalnost, društvenu, mentalnu, tako i fizičku, osmislimo dan da bude kvalitetan, ispunjen.

To je nedavno rekla korisnica jednog od brojnih programa koji se nude osobama starije životne dobi u okviru projekta "Aktivna i kvalitetna starost".

Jedna od najstarijih korisnica među ponuđenim programima se odlučila za gimnastiku, a ima 93 godine. Netko bi rekao da je prestara za to, ali ona očigledno tako ne misli.

Kada uopće počinje starost?

I UN brine o godinama

U istraživanju provedenom u SAD-u prije nekoliko godina, ispitanike su pitali jesu li osobe od 65 godina stare. Jesu, stare su, odgovorilo je čak 60 posto ispitanika u dobi između 18 i 29 godina, a isti odgovor dalo je tek 16 posto osoba starijih od 60 godina.

Dvije trećine ispitanika su osobe od 65 godina doživljavale kao ljude srednjih godina.

Naravno, percepcija nam se mijenja kako starimo, u mladosti smo i mi sigurno one od 65 godina doživljavali kao "fosile", ali s približavanjem tim godinama drukčije na to gledamo.

Starenje je, dakako, normalna fiziološka pojava koju prolazi svatko od nas, počinje rođenjem i nepovratna je, koliko god se neki trudili na različite načine usporiti ili zaustaviti starenje. Ono traje godinama i kod pojedinaca napreduje različitom brzinom.

Prema definiciji Ujedinjenih naroda starost nastupa iza 65. godine života i dijeli se na raniju, srednju i duboku starost.

Ta ranija starost, koju smo skloni nazivati "zlatnim godinama", traje do 74. godine, od 75. do 84. godine je srednja starost, dok je duboka starost nakon 85. godine života.

Prema podjeli Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije, u starije osobe se ubrajaju svi u dobi od 60 do 75 godina, u stare osobe od 76 do 90 godina, a u vrlo stare osobe one s više od 90 godina u životnom kalendaru.

Biološka i kronološka dob sve su rjeđe sukladne, a kako će nam starost izgledati, uvelike odlučujemo sami, jer brigom o vlastitom fizičkom i psihičkom zdravlju, uravnoteženoj prehrani, redovitoj fizičkoj aktivnosti, kvalitetnom snu..., možemo usporiti djelovanje zuba vremena i zadržati dobro zdravlje i vitalnost te uživati i u poznim godinama.

Za starije osobe iznimno je važno da su aktivne, da imaju zadovoljavajuću socijalnu podršku u okviru obitelji i u grupi svojih vršnjaka.

Nakon odlaska u mirovinu stariji ljudi imaju dosta slobodnog vremena koje mogu iskoristiti za druženja, hobije, za vrijeme s unucima, učenje novih vještina, pomaganje mlađima u obitelji, mogu biti vrlo aktivni i korisni...

'Mlađi' i od svoje djece

Bez obzira na definicije, prema istraživanju nedavno provedenom u Velikoj Britaniji, tamošnji umirovljenici tvrde da starost počinje tek sa 76 godina, a čak 38 posto ispitanika uvjereno je da je starost rezervirana za one starije od 80 godina.

Kažu i da se u prosjeku osjećaju 12 godina mlađe.

Polovica ispitanika kazala je da se osjeća mlađe i sposobnije nego njihovi roditelji u istoj dobi, a svaki deseti umirovljenik koji je sudjelovao u istraživanju uvjeren je da ima više energije i od vlastite djece. Idu čak toliko daleko da tvrde kako su šezdesete nove četrdesete.

Većina sudionika istraživanja kazala je da živahnost crpe iz druženja s unucima, s mlađima, dvije trećine u slobodno vrijeme rješava križaljke i zagonetke, za što vjeruju da im pomlađuje mozak ili barem odgađa starenje.

A što mladi, odnosno "milenijalci" misle da odaje starost? Provjerite i sami...

Prema njima, na popisu stvari koje nas čine starima među ostalim su:

- korištenje gotovine,

- stavljanje maramice u rukav,

- primanje računa poštom,

- otmjeni pribor za jelo za posebne prilike,

- korištenje olovke i papira za pisanje,

- pušenje,

- kad nam počne smetati glasna glazba,

- pozivanje taksija umjesto korištenja aplikacije,

- odustajanje od glasanja na izborima,

- gledanje TV-a,

- korištenje Facebooka,

- čitanje knjiga,

- odlazak u crkvu,

- razgovor telefonom,

- nošenje uskih traperica,

- upotreba fotoaparata i satelitske navigacije,

- konzumacija mliječnih proizvoda...

Ali, ne treba se na to previše obazirati, i milenijalci će ostarjeti i promijeniti mišljenje o starosti.

Imamo svoj mir, svoj đir. Uz uvjet da si zdrav, lijepo nam je.

Više vremena posvećujemo sebi, nastojimo sačuvati funkcionalnost, društvenu, mentalnu, tako i fizičku, osmislimo dan da bude kvalitetan, ispunjen.

To je nedavno rekla korisnica jednog od brojnih programa koji se nude osobama starije životne dobi u okviru projekta "Aktivna i kvalitetna starost".

Jedna od najstarijih korisnica među ponuđenim programima se odlučila za gimnastiku, a ima 93 godine. Netko bi rekao da je prestara za to, ali ona očigledno tako ne misli.

Kada uopće počinje starost?

U istraživanju provedenom u SAD-u prije nekoliko godina, ispitanike su pitali jesu li osobe od 65 godina stare. Jesu, stare su, odgovorilo je čak 60 posto ispitanika u dobi između 18 i 29 godina, a isti odgovor dalo je tek 16 posto osoba starijih od 60 godina.

Dvije trećine ispitanika su osobe od 65 godina doživljavale kao ljude srednjih godina.

Naravno, percepcija nam se mijenja kako starimo, u mladosti smo i mi sigurno one od 65 godina doživljavali kao "fosile", ali s približavanjem tim godinama drukčije na to gledamo.

Starenje je, dakako, normalna fiziološka pojava koju prolazi svatko od nas, počinje rođenjem i nepovratna je, koliko god se neki trudili na različite načine usporiti ili zaustaviti starenje. Ono traje godinama i kod pojedinaca napreduje različitom brzinom.

Prema definiciji Ujedinjenih naroda starost nastupa iza 65. godine života i dijeli se na raniju, srednju i duboku starost.

Ta ranija starost, koju smo skloni nazivati "zlatnim godinama", traje do 74. godine, od 75. do 84. godine je srednja starost, dok je duboka starost nakon 85. godine života.

Prema podjeli Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije, u starije osobe se ubrajaju svi u dobi od 60 do 75 godina, u stare osobe od 76 do 90 godina, a u vrlo stare osobe one s više od 90 godina u životnom kalendaru.

Biološka i kronološka dob sve su rjeđe sukladne, a kako će nam starost izgledati, uvelike odlučujemo sami, jer brigom o vlastitom fizičkom i psihičkom zdravlju, uravnoteženoj prehrani, redovitoj fizičkoj aktivnosti, kvalitetnom snu..., možemo usporiti djelovanje zuba vremena i zadržati dobro zdravlje i vitalnost te uživati i u poznim godinama.

Za starije osobe iznimno je važno da su aktivne, da imaju zadovoljavajuću socijalnu podršku u okviru obitelji i u grupi svojih vršnjaka.

Nakon odlaska u mirovinu stariji ljudi imaju dosta slobodnog vremena koje mogu iskoristiti za druženja, hobije, za vrijeme s unucima, učenje novih vještina, pomaganje mlađima u obitelji, mogu biti vrlo aktivni i korisni...

'Mlađi' i od svoje djece

Bez obzira na definicije, prema istraživanju nedavno provedenom u Velikoj Britaniji, tamošnji umirovljenici tvrde da starost počinje tek sa 76 godina, a čak 38 posto ispitanika uvjereno je da je starost rezervirana za one starije od 80 godina.

Kažu i da se u prosjeku osjećaju 12 godina mlađe.

Polovica ispitanika kazala je da se osjeća mlađe i sposobnije nego njihovi roditelji u istoj dobi, a svaki deseti umirovljenik koji je sudjelovao u istraživanju uvjeren je da ima više energije i od vlastite djece. Idu čak toliko daleko da tvrde kako su šezdesete nove četrdesete.

Većina sudionika istraživanja kazala je da živahnost crpe iz druženja s unucima, s mlađima, dvije trećine u slobodno vrijeme rješava križaljke i zagonetke, za što vjeruju da im pomlađuje mozak ili barem odgađa starenje.

A što mladi, odnosno "milenijalci" misle da odaje starost? Provjerite i sami...

Prema njima, na popisu stvari koje nas čine starima među ostalim su:

- korištenje gotovine,

- stavljanje maramice u rukav,

- primanje računa poštom,

- otmjeni pribor za jelo za posebne prilike,

- korištenje olovke i papira za pisanje,

- pušenje,

- kad nam počne smetati glasna glazba,

- pozivanje taksija umjesto korištenja aplikacije,

- odustajanje od glasanja na izborima,

- gledanje TV-a,

- korištenje Facebooka,

- čitanje knjiga,

- odlazak u crkvu,

- razgovor telefonom,

- nošenje uskih traperica,

- upotreba fotoaparata i satelitske navigacije,

- konzumacija mliječnih proizvoda...

Ali, ne treba se na to previše obazirati, i milenijalci će ostarjeti i promijeniti mišljenje o starosti.
