Procjenjuje se da oko 80 posto otpada završava u moru iz izvora na kopnu i aktivnosti na kopnu, kao što su komunalni otpad s ilegalnih odlagališta, otpad koji se ispire u more kišnom vodom ili kao nusproizvod intenzivnih i nekontroliranih turističkih aktivnosti.

Iz tog razloga Udruga za zaštitu okoliša Sunce priključila se Sub-merus inicijativi "From river to the sea – let‘s be plastic free". Fokus ove inicijative je upravo ključno područje gdje se rijeka Cetina sastaje s morem, a to područje obuhvaća zaštićeno područje Kanjona rijeke Cetine i tri područja ekološke mreže Natura 2000. Ove lokacije nalaze se u gradu Omišu koji je poznata destinacija za avanturistički turizam, ali isto tako privlači velik broj posjetitelja tijekom turističke sezone.

Cilj projekta je smanjenje pritiska onečišćenja Jadranskog mora plastičnim otpadom iz rijeke Cetine i tri područja ekološke mreže Natura 2000. Nadovezuje se na projekt Plastic free zone – Kanjon rijeke Cetine i na odredbe Odluke o ograničenju uporabe plastike unutar granica Značajnog krajobraza Kanjon rijeke Cetine.

Volonteri projekta

Proteklih dana, u prostorijama Sub-merus u Omišu, održano je predavanje za volontere ronilačkog centra o globalnom problemu morskog otpada.

Volonteri koji sudjeluju u ovom projekti prvo uče roniti po SSI (Scuba School International) programu, a zatim sudjeluju u čišćenju podmorja koji se provodi svakodnevno tijekom turističke sezone.

Nakon skupljanja morskog otpada, volonteri se upoznaju s Protokolom monitoringa morskog otpada. Protokol pruža smjernice kako pratiti i analizirati podatke o količini i vrstama otpada koje prikupimo tijekom tih akcija.

Uz podršku edukatorice Sunca, uspješno su proveli monitoring i sortiranje otpada.

Na ovaj način volonteri stječu znanje o sveukupnoj problematici morskog otpada, odakle potječe, kako ga pratiti, ukloniti i na kraju pronaći rješenje i odgovorno gospodariti otpadom.

Još je niz aktivnosti koje se provode u sklopu ovog programa: uspostavljanje Eko-patrolne baze unutar kanjona rijeke Cetine, izrada protokola za djelovanje Eko-patrole prikupljanja i razvrstavanja otpada te prijavljivanja nelegalnog odlaganja otpada odgovornim osobama...

Nositelj projekta je Sub-merus. Projektni partneri su JU za zaštićena područja Splitsko dalmatinske županije More i krš, Udruga za prirodu, okoliš i održivi razvoj Sunce i Impactrip.

Procjenjuje se da oko 80 posto otpada završava u moru iz izvora na kopnu i aktivnosti na kopnu, kao što su komunalni otpad s ilegalnih odlagališta, otpad koji se ispire u more kišnom vodom ili kao nusproizvod intenzivnih i nekontroliranih turističkih aktivnosti.

Iz tog razloga Udruga za zaštitu okoliša Sunce priključila se Sub-merus inicijativi "From river to the sea – let‘s be plastic free". Fokus ove inicijative je upravo ključno područje gdje se rijeka Cetina sastaje s morem, a to područje obuhvaća zaštićeno područje Kanjona rijeke Cetine i tri područja ekološke mreže Natura 2000. Ove lokacije nalaze se u gradu Omišu koji je poznata destinacija za avanturistički turizam, ali isto tako privlači velik broj posjetitelja tijekom turističke sezone.

Cilj projekta je smanjenje pritiska onečišćenja Jadranskog mora plastičnim otpadom iz rijeke Cetine i tri područja ekološke mreže Natura 2000. Nadovezuje se na projekt Plastic free zone – Kanjon rijeke Cetine i na odredbe Odluke o ograničenju uporabe plastike unutar granica Značajnog krajobraza Kanjon rijeke Cetine.

Proteklih dana, u prostorijama Sub-merus u Omišu, održano je predavanje za volontere ronilačkog centra o globalnom problemu morskog otpada.

Volonteri koji sudjeluju u ovom projekti prvo uče roniti po SSI (Scuba School International) programu, a zatim sudjeluju u čišćenju podmorja koji se provodi svakodnevno tijekom turističke sezone.

Nakon skupljanja morskog otpada, volonteri se upoznaju s Protokolom monitoringa morskog otpada. Protokol pruža smjernice kako pratiti i analizirati podatke o količini i vrstama otpada koje prikupimo tijekom tih akcija.

Uz podršku edukatorice Sunca, uspješno su proveli monitoring i sortiranje otpada.

Na ovaj način volonteri stječu znanje o sveukupnoj problematici morskog otpada, odakle potječe, kako ga pratiti, ukloniti i na kraju pronaći rješenje i odgovorno gospodariti otpadom.

Još je niz aktivnosti koje se provode u sklopu ovog programa: uspostavljanje Eko-patrolne baze unutar kanjona rijeke Cetine, izrada protokola za djelovanje Eko-patrole prikupljanja i razvrstavanja otpada te prijavljivanja nelegalnog odlaganja otpada odgovornim osobama...

Nositelj projekta je Sub-merus. Projektni partneri su JU za zaštićena područja Splitsko dalmatinske županije More i krš, Udruga za prirodu, okoliš i održivi razvoj Sunce i Impactrip.
