Kiša bi mogla zamijeniti snježne oborine na Arktiku desetljećima prije nego što se mislilo, pokazala je studija objavljena u utorak, koja upozorava na to da bi promjena uzrokovana globalnim zagrijavanjem mogla imati posljedice izvan te regije.

Prema toj studiji bi, uz ograničavanje zatopljenja na 1,5 C što je najambiciozniji cilj Pariškog klimatskog sporazuma iz 2015., na Arktiku i dalje dominirao snijeg.

Gavin Schmidt, direktor NASA-ina Goddard instituta za svemirske studije, rekao je da rezultati "impliciraju da se najgore posljedice mogu izbjeći ako zemlje ispune svoje namjere da smanje emisije u skladu s Pariškim sporazumom".

Kiša bi mogla zamijeniti snježne oborine na Arktiku desetljećima prije nego što se mislilo, pokazala je studija objavljena u utorak, koja upozorava na to da bi promjena uzrokovana globalnim zagrijavanjem mogla imati posljedice izvan te regije.

Arktik se zagrijava mnogo brže od ostatka planeta, topi se morski led što dodaje vlagu u zrak, a što će vjerojatno povećati oborine.

Uspoređujući najnovije projekcije s prethodnim klimatskim modelima, studija objavljena u znanstvenom časopisu Nature Communications procjenjuje da će se prijelaz s oborina u kojima prevladavaju snježne padaline na one u kojima dominira kiša doći "jedan ili dva desetljeća ranije".

Kiša bi mogla zamijeniti snježne oborine na Arktiku desetljećima prije nego što se mislilo, pokazala je studija objavljena u utorak, koja upozorava na to da bi promjena uzrokovana globalnim zagrijavanjem mogla imati posljedice izvan te regije.
