Somalski pirati oslobodili su oteti brod MV Abdulah i njegovu posadu od 23 člana u nedjelju ujutro nakon što je plaćena otkupnina od 5 milijuna dolara, rekla su dvojica pirata.

"Novac nam je donesen prije dvije noći kao i obično... provjerili smo je li novac lažan. Zatim smo podijelili novac po skupinama i otišli, izbjegavajući vladine snage", rekao je Abdirašid Jusuf, jedan od pirata za Reuters.

Dodao je da je brod pušten sa svom posadom.

Dužnosnici somalske vlade nisu odgovorili na zahtjev za komentar.

MV Abdulah, brod za rasuti teret pod zastavom Bangladeša - vrsta trgovačkog broda koji se koristi za prijevoz velikih količina tereta - otet je u ožujku dok je plovio iz Mozambika prema Ujedinjenim Arapskim Emiratima.

Otmica se dogodila oko 600 nautičkih milja istočno od somalskoga glavnoga grada Mogadiša.

Somalski pirati uzrokovali su kaos u vodama uz dugu obalu zemlje od otprilike 2008. do 2018. Bili su u stanju mirovanja do kraja prošle godine, kada je aktivnost pirata ponovno počela jačati.

Pomorski izvori kažu da su pirati možda ohrabreni slabljenjem sigurnosnih mjera ili da iskorištavaju kaos izazvan napadima jemenskih hutista na brodove, dok u Gazi bjesni rat između Izraela i palestinske militantne skupine Hamas.

Somalski pirati oslobodili su oteti brod MV Abdulah i njegovu posadu od 23 člana u nedjelju ujutro nakon što je plaćena otkupnina od 5 milijuna dolara, rekla su dvojica pirata.

"Novac nam je donesen prije dvije noći kao i obično... provjerili smo je li novac lažan. Zatim smo podijelili novac po skupinama i otišli, izbjegavajući vladine snage", rekao je Abdirašid Jusuf, jedan od pirata za Reuters.

Dodao je da je brod pušten sa svom posadom.

Dužnosnici somalske vlade nisu odgovorili na zahtjev za komentar.

MV Abdulah, brod za rasuti teret pod zastavom Bangladeša - vrsta trgovačkog broda koji se koristi za prijevoz velikih količina tereta - otet je u ožujku dok je plovio iz Mozambika prema Ujedinjenim Arapskim Emiratima.

Otmica se dogodila oko 600 nautičkih milja istočno od somalskoga glavnoga grada Mogadiša.

Somalski pirati uzrokovali su kaos u vodama uz dugu obalu zemlje od otprilike 2008. do 2018. Bili su u stanju mirovanja do kraja prošle godine, kada je aktivnost pirata ponovno počela jačati.

Pomorski izvori kažu da su pirati možda ohrabreni slabljenjem sigurnosnih mjera ili da iskorištavaju kaos izazvan napadima jemenskih hutista na brodove, dok u Gazi bjesni rat između Izraela i palestinske militantne skupine Hamas.

Somalski pirati oslobodili su oteti brod MV Abdulah i njegovu posadu od 23 člana u nedjelju ujutro nakon što je plaćena otkupnina od 5 milijuna dolara, rekla su dvojica pirata.

"Novac nam je donesen prije dvije noći kao i obično... provjerili smo je li novac lažan. Zatim smo podijelili novac po skupinama i otišli, izbjegavajući vladine snage", rekao je Abdirašid Jusuf, jedan od pirata za Reuters.

Dodao je da je brod pušten sa svom posadom.

Dužnosnici somalske vlade nisu odgovorili na zahtjev za komentar.

MV Abdulah, brod za rasuti teret pod zastavom Bangladeša - vrsta trgovačkog broda koji se koristi za prijevoz velikih količina tereta - otet je u ožujku dok je plovio iz Mozambika prema Ujedinjenim Arapskim Emiratima.

Otmica se dogodila oko 600 nautičkih milja istočno od somalskoga glavnoga grada Mogadiša.

Somalski pirati uzrokovali su kaos u vodama uz dugu obalu zemlje od otprilike 2008. do 2018. Bili su u stanju mirovanja do kraja prošle godine, kada je aktivnost pirata ponovno počela jačati.

Pomorski izvori kažu da su pirati možda ohrabreni slabljenjem sigurnosnih mjera ili da iskorištavaju kaos izazvan napadima jemenskih hutista na brodove, dok u Gazi bjesni rat između Izraela i palestinske militantne skupine Hamas.
