U akvatoriju otoka Šćedra, priopćilo je Ministarstvo kulture i medija, pronađen je potpuno očuvan, do sada neotkriveni brodolom s teretom antičkih amfora iz 3. stoljeća prije Krista. Sukladno planu suradnje Hrvatske ratne mornarice s Ratnom mornaricom Talijanske Republike, u akvatoriju srednjeg Jadrana od 15. do 21. lipnja provedeno je zajedničko uvježbavanje protuminskih ronitelja Flote Hrvatske ratne mornarice i njihovih talijanskih kolega.

Uporabom protuminskih procedura i različite vrste opreme (podvodna autonomna vozila i daljinski upravljana podvodna vozila), u prvom tjednu provodilo se zajedničko kondicijsko uvježbavanje u akvatoriju otoka Čiovo, dok su se u drugom tjednu roniteljske aktivnosti odvijale u akvatoriju otoka Hvara.

Dugogodišnja suradnja HRM-a s talijanskom RM-om intenzivirala se od 2021. kroz angažman protuminskih ronitelja HRM-a na talijanskim brodovima lovcima mina, u sklopu Stalno prisutne skupine NATO brodova (SNMCMG2).

Kako su priopćili iz Ministarstva kulture i medija, ta se aktivnost pokazala sjajnom prilikom za unaprjeđenjem suradnje s drugim tijelima državne uprave i znanstvenim ustanovama. S obzirom na mogućnosti provedbe podvodnih aktivnosti u lošijim vremenskim uvjetima i uzevši u obzir prethodne informacije Ministarstva kulture i medija o postojećim i potencijalnim arheološkim lokalitetima (brodolomima), za lokaciju vježbe odabrano je podmorje oko otoka Šćedra.

Aktivnost je provedena u suradnji Ministarstva obrane s Konzervatorskim odjelom u Splitu Ministarstva kulture i medija te Sveučilištem u Splitu. Nakon što je određen perimetar pretrage započeto je višeslojno snimanje (skeniranje) dna, obradom dobivenih podataka odnosno pregledom snimljenog materijala detektirano je nekoliko potencijalnih "kontakata" (pozicija) koje bi mogle predstavljati arheološka nalazišta (brodolome). Ciljane pozicije potom su pregledane podvodnim ROV-om (Remotely Operated Vehicle) koji je opremljen manjim sonarom i kamerom ili su zajednički timovi hrvatskih i talijanskih protuminskih ronitelja odmah obavili zarone u svrhu utvrđivanja konteksta nalaza. Pregled jedne od takvih pozicija rezultirao je pronalaskom do sada neotkrivenog potpuno očuvanog antičkog brodoloma.

Podvodni arheolozi Ministarstva kulture i medija Saša Denegri i Sveučilišta u Splitu Tea Katunarić Kirjakov obavili su zarone na predmetnoj poziciji te su utvrdili kako je riječ o potpuno očuvanom do sada neotkrivenom brodolomu s teretom antičkih amfora iz 3. stoljeća prije Krista, koji leži na dubini od 50 metara.

S obzirom na dataciju i očuvanost nalazišta riječ je o jednom od najranijih, potpuno očuvanih brodoloma na istočnoj obali Jadrana. Buduća arheološka istraživanja utvrdit će točan kontekst, rasprostiranje i karakteristike lokaliteta, na osnovu čega će biti doneseni planovi za njegovu zaštitu, konzervaciju i prezentaciju.

U akvatoriju otoka Šćedra, priopćilo je Ministarstvo kulture i medija, pronađen je potpuno očuvan, do sada neotkriveni brodolom s teretom antičkih amfora iz 3. stoljeća prije Krista. Sukladno planu suradnje Hrvatske ratne mornarice s Ratnom mornaricom Talijanske Republike, u akvatoriju srednjeg Jadrana od 15. do 21. lipnja provedeno je zajedničko uvježbavanje protuminskih ronitelja Flote Hrvatske ratne mornarice i njihovih talijanskih kolega.

Uporabom protuminskih procedura i različite vrste opreme (podvodna autonomna vozila i daljinski upravljana podvodna vozila), u prvom tjednu provodilo se zajedničko kondicijsko uvježbavanje u akvatoriju otoka Čiovo, dok su se u drugom tjednu roniteljske aktivnosti odvijale u akvatoriju otoka Hvara.

Dugogodišnja suradnja HRM-a s talijanskom RM-om intenzivirala se od 2021. kroz angažman protuminskih ronitelja HRM-a na talijanskim brodovima lovcima mina, u sklopu Stalno prisutne skupine NATO brodova (SNMCMG2).

Kako su priopćili iz Ministarstva kulture i medija, ta se aktivnost pokazala sjajnom prilikom za unaprjeđenjem suradnje s drugim tijelima državne uprave i znanstvenim ustanovama. S obzirom na mogućnosti provedbe podvodnih aktivnosti u lošijim vremenskim uvjetima i uzevši u obzir prethodne informacije Ministarstva kulture i medija o postojećim i potencijalnim arheološkim lokalitetima (brodolomima), za lokaciju vježbe odabrano je podmorje oko otoka Šćedra.

Aktivnost je provedena u suradnji Ministarstva obrane s Konzervatorskim odjelom u Splitu Ministarstva kulture i medija te Sveučilištem u Splitu. Nakon što je određen perimetar pretrage započeto je višeslojno snimanje (skeniranje) dna, obradom dobivenih podataka odnosno pregledom snimljenog materijala detektirano je nekoliko potencijalnih "kontakata" (pozicija) koje bi mogle predstavljati arheološka nalazišta (brodolome). Ciljane pozicije potom su pregledane podvodnim ROV-om (Remotely Operated Vehicle) koji je opremljen manjim sonarom i kamerom ili su zajednički timovi hrvatskih i talijanskih protuminskih ronitelja odmah obavili zarone u svrhu utvrđivanja konteksta nalaza. Pregled jedne od takvih pozicija rezultirao je pronalaskom do sada neotkrivenog potpuno očuvanog antičkog brodoloma.

Podvodni arheolozi Ministarstva kulture i medija Saša Denegri i Sveučilišta u Splitu Tea Katunarić Kirjakov obavili su zarone na predmetnoj poziciji te su utvrdili kako je riječ o potpuno očuvanom do sada neotkrivenom brodolomu s teretom antičkih amfora iz 3. stoljeća prije Krista, koji leži na dubini od 50 metara.

S obzirom na dataciju i očuvanost nalazišta riječ je o jednom od najranijih, potpuno očuvanih brodoloma na istočnoj obali Jadrana. Buduća arheološka istraživanja utvrdit će točan kontekst, rasprostiranje i karakteristike lokaliteta, na osnovu čega će biti doneseni planovi za njegovu zaštitu, konzervaciju i prezentaciju.
