Žene koje nemaju menstruaciju, uključujući žene u postmenopauzi i one na kontracepciji, imale su nekoliko puta veću vjerojatnost da će doživjeti neočekivano vaginalno krvarenje nakon cijepljenja nego prije cjepiva, otkriva studija.
Tim nije istražio razloge neobjašnjivog krvarenja, ali je sugerirao da bi ono moglo biti povezano sa spike proteinom (protein šiljak) SARS-CoV-2 koji se koristi u cjepivima.

“Od ranih stadija pandemije smo slali dvotjedne upitnike kako bismo pratili učinke pandemije”, kaže Kristine Blix, autorica studije.
U prvom upitniku koji je pokrivao cijepljenje protiv covid-19, poslanom 2021. godine, neke su žene prijavile da su imale obilno menstrualno krvarenje. “To nas je potaknulo da tražimo obrasce krvarenja na strukturiran način”, kaže ona.
Obrasci krvarenja
Rezultati su bili iznenađujući, kaže Blix.
Otkrili su da su 252 žene u postmenopauzi, 1008 žena u perimenopauzi i 924 žene u predmenopauzi prijavile neočekivano vaginalno krvarenje. Otprilike polovica ispitanica iz svake skupine izjavilo je krvarenje nastupilo četiri tjedna nakon prve ili druge doze cjepiva, ili obje.
Europska agencija za lijekove (EMA) u listopadu 2022. ažurirala je podatke o nuspjavama mRNA cjepiva, a u ažuriranim podacima kao nuspojava je navedeno i teško menstrualno krvarenje.
Neočekivano krvarenje nakon menopauze obično se smatra medicinski ozbiljnim i moglo bi biti rani znak raznih stanja kao što su karcinom endometrija i prekancerozna lezija. Iako uzrok krvarenja nakon cijepljenja nije jasan, ako je to poznata nuspojava cjepiva, liječnici to mogu uzeti u obzir pri procjeni stanja pacijenta.
“Postmenopauzalno krvarenje često je vrlo zabrinjavajuće i mogući je znak raka. Poznavanje statusa cijepljenja pacijenta moglo bi njegovu učestalost krvarenja staviti u kontekst,” kaže Kate Clancy, biološka antropologinja sa Sveučilišta Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
“Najvažniji doprinos ove i druge dokumentacije bit će da su obrasci krvarenja kod žena uključeni kao krajnje točke ili praćeni u kliničkim ispitivanjima novih cjepiva – a možda čak i ispitivanjima lijekova”, kaže Blix.

Žene koje nemaju menstruaciju, uključujući žene u postmenopauzi i one na kontracepciji, imale su nekoliko puta veću vjerojatnost da će doživjeti neočekivano vaginalno krvarenje nakon cijepljenja nego prije cjepiva, otkriva studija.
Tim nije istražio razloge neobjašnjivog krvarenja, ali je sugerirao da bi ono moglo biti povezano sa spike proteinom (protein šiljak) SARS-CoV-2 koji se koristi u cjepivima.
Općenito, utvrđeno je da su cjepiva protiv covid-19 sigurna i učinkovita, piše Nature, a prenosi N1.
“Od ranih stadija pandemije smo slali dvotjedne upitnike kako bismo pratili učinke pandemije”, kaže Kristine Blix, autorica studije.
U prvom upitniku koji je pokrivao cijepljenje protiv covid-19, poslanom 2021. godine, neke su žene prijavile da su imale obilno menstrualno krvarenje. “To nas je potaknulo da tražimo obrasce krvarenja na strukturiran način”, kaže ona.
Obrasci krvarenja
Rezultati su bili iznenađujući, kaže Blix.
Otkrili su da su 252 žene u postmenopauzi, 1008 žena u perimenopauzi i 924 žene u predmenopauzi prijavile neočekivano vaginalno krvarenje. Otprilike polovica ispitanica iz svake skupine izjavilo je krvarenje nastupilo četiri tjedna nakon prve ili druge doze cjepiva, ili obje.
Europska agencija za lijekove (EMA) u listopadu 2022. ažurirala je podatke o nuspjavama mRNA cjepiva, a u ažuriranim podacima kao nuspojava je navedeno i teško menstrualno krvarenje.
Neočekivano krvarenje nakon menopauze obično se smatra medicinski ozbiljnim i moglo bi biti rani znak raznih stanja kao što su karcinom endometrija i prekancerozna lezija. Iako uzrok krvarenja nakon cijepljenja nije jasan, ako je to poznata nuspojava cjepiva, liječnici to mogu uzeti u obzir pri procjeni stanja pacijenta.
“Postmenopauzalno krvarenje često je vrlo zabrinjavajuće i mogući je znak raka. Poznavanje statusa cijepljenja pacijenta moglo bi njegovu učestalost krvarenja staviti u kontekst,” kaže Kate Clancy, biološka antropologinja sa Sveučilišta Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
“Najvažniji doprinos ove i druge dokumentacije bit će da su obrasci krvarenja kod žena uključeni kao krajnje točke ili praćeni u kliničkim ispitivanjima novih cjepiva – a možda čak i ispitivanjima lijekova”, kaže Blix.
