Dvojica rekreativnih biciklista, Miljenko Mrkonjić i Drago Jukić zaputili su se biciklima na put dug preko 2300 km s jednim ciljem - izgradnjom igrališta za nezbrinutu djecu iz Centra za pružanje usluga u zajednici Maestral (donedavno Dječji dom Maestral).

Njihov put je zaista poseban, a krenuo je 10. rujna 2023. iz Frankfurta, rodnog mjesta Miljenka - te su se preko Francuske spojili na Put sv. Jakova. Motivacija za put Miljenkov je plod - jer on se već prije nepune tri godine zaputio iz Frankfurta za Imotski s ciljem prikupljanja donacija za djecu oboljelu od raka iz udruge "Sanus" u Splitu.
Ovaj put pridružio mu se Drago Jukić, a cilj je sada Maestral u Splitu - mjesto gdje djeca u sustavu socijalne skrbi provode svoje dane.

- Miljenko i ja smo se upoznali preko njegovog Instagram profila, a meni je želja bila da mu se pridružim u novoj akciji - kaže Drago, a Miljenko je bez iti malo razmišljanja rekao "Idemo na put sv. Jakova i prikupljamo donacije za nezbrinutu djecu".
Do sada je hrvatski dvojac prešao preko 1800 km dužine i preko 12 475 metara visinske razlike. Na putu im izazove stvara kiša, vjetar, jako sunce i generalna izmorenost, ali oni se ne daju.

Motivacije im apsolutno ne nedostaje, jer su stalno u kontaktu s djecom iz Maestrala koja ih svesrdno podržavaju, kao i veliki dio hrvatskih sportaša koji dijeli njihovu akciju na društvenim mrežama.
- Nama vremenski uvjeti nisu problem. Iako izazovni, mi znamo zbog čega to radimo. Osmijeh na licima djece bez adekvatne roditeljske skrbi, kao i podrška zajednice nama pomažu da nastavimo, a prema našem planu 26.9 smo u Santiagu. Tamo ćemo se pomoliti Bogu i završiti naš put.
Jedino što nam nedostaje jest još veća podrška zajednice u smislu donacija za Maestral, jer mi Hrvati poznati smo po tome da smo ujedinjeni za one kojima je najpotrebnije.

Dvojica rekreativnih biciklista, Miljenko Mrkonjić i Drago Jukić zaputili su se biciklima na put dug preko 2300 km s jednim ciljem - izgradnjom igrališta za nezbrinutu djecu iz Centra za pružanje usluga u zajednici Maestral (donedavno Dječji dom Maestral).

Njihov put je zaista poseban, a krenuo je 10. rujna 2023. iz Frankfurta, rodnog mjesta Miljenka - te su se preko Francuske spojili na Put sv. Jakova. Motivacija za put Miljenkov je plod - jer on se već prije nepune tri godine zaputio iz Frankfurta za Imotski s ciljem prikupljanja donacija za djecu oboljelu od raka iz udruge "Sanus" u Splitu.
Ovaj put pridružio mu se Drago Jukić, a cilj je sada Maestral u Splitu - mjesto gdje djeca u sustavu socijalne skrbi provode svoje dane.

- Miljenko i ja smo se upoznali preko njegovog Instagram profila, a meni je želja bila da mu se pridružim u novoj akciji - kaže Drago, a Miljenko je bez iti malo razmišljanja rekao "Idemo na put sv. Jakova i prikupljamo donacije za nezbrinutu djecu".
Do sada je hrvatski dvojac prešao preko 1800 km dužine i preko 12 475 metara visinske razlike. Na putu im izazove stvara kiša, vjetar, jako sunce i generalna izmorenost, ali oni se ne daju.

Motivacije im apsolutno ne nedostaje, jer su stalno u kontaktu s djecom iz Maestrala koja ih svesrdno podržavaju, kao i veliki dio hrvatskih sportaša koji dijeli njihovu akciju na društvenim mrežama.
- Nama vremenski uvjeti nisu problem. Iako izazovni, mi znamo zbog čega to radimo. Osmijeh na licima djece bez adekvatne roditeljske skrbi, kao i podrška zajednice nama pomažu da nastavimo, a prema našem planu 26.9 smo u Santiagu. Tamo ćemo se pomoliti Bogu i završiti naš put.
Jedino što nam nedostaje jest još veća podrška zajednice u smislu donacija za Maestral, jer mi Hrvati poznati smo po tome da smo ujedinjeni za one kojima je najpotrebnije.
