Najviše rangirani japanski medicinski stručnjak rekao je u srijedu da "domaćinstvo Olimpijskih igara zbog trenutnog stanja u državi koronavirusnih infekcija nije normalno", a radi se o jednom od najoštrijih upozorenja o rizicima Igara u Tokiju.

Obraćajući se parlamentarnom odboru, medicinski savjetnik u vladi Shigeru Omi rekao je da bi organizatori trebali objasniti javnosti zašto se ide s Igrama usred pandemije.

"Nije normalno održavati Olimpijske igre u ovakvoj situaciji", rekao je Omi.

Liječnici su rekli da bi Olimpijske igre, koje bi trebale započeti 23. srpnja nakon odgađanja od prošle godine, zategnule zdravstveni sustav koji već ima rekordne brojeve onih u kritičnom stanju.

Samo 2.7 posto Japanaca je u potpunosti cijepljeno, navodi Reuters, a tempo novih infekcija je, međutim, usporen.

Ankete pokazuju da se većina ljudi u Japanu protivi održavanju Igara, zabrinuta zbog desetaka tisuća sportaša, dužnosnika i medija koji se spuštaju na zemlju, gdje je prošlog tjedna izvanredno stanje u Tokiju i drugim područjima produljeno do 20. lipnja.

"Ako ćemo Igre održati pod ovim okolnostima,  onda mislim da je odgovornost olimpijskih organizatora smanjiti razmjere događaja i ojačati mjere kontrole koronavirusa što je više moguće", dodao je Omi, koji se suprostavio japanskom premijeru Yoshihideu Sugi i organizatorima koji su uvjeravali svijet da će organizirati sigurne Igre.

Visoki dužnosnik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora zadužen za organizaciju Igara razbjesnio je japansku javnost u svibnju proglasivši da će se Olimpijske igre održati čak i ako je Tokio pod izvanrednim stanjem.

Najviše rangirani japanski medicinski stručnjak rekao je u srijedu da "domaćinstvo Olimpijskih igara zbog trenutnog stanja u državi koronavirusnih infekcija nije normalno", a radi se o jednom od najoštrijih upozorenja o rizicima Igara u Tokiju.

Obraćajući se parlamentarnom odboru, medicinski savjetnik u vladi Shigeru Omi rekao je da bi organizatori trebali objasniti javnosti zašto se ide s Igrama usred pandemije.

"Nije normalno održavati Olimpijske igre u ovakvoj situaciji", rekao je Omi.

Liječnici su rekli da bi Olimpijske igre, koje bi trebale započeti 23. srpnja nakon odgađanja od prošle godine, zategnule zdravstveni sustav koji već ima rekordne brojeve onih u kritičnom stanju.

Samo 2.7 posto Japanaca je u potpunosti cijepljeno, navodi Reuters, a tempo novih infekcija je, međutim, usporen.

Ankete pokazuju da se većina ljudi u Japanu protivi održavanju Igara, zabrinuta zbog desetaka tisuća sportaša, dužnosnika i medija koji se spuštaju na zemlju, gdje je prošlog tjedna izvanredno stanje u Tokiju i drugim područjima produljeno do 20. lipnja.

"Ako ćemo Igre održati pod ovim okolnostima,  onda mislim da je odgovornost olimpijskih organizatora smanjiti razmjere događaja i ojačati mjere kontrole koronavirusa što je više moguće", dodao je Omi, koji se suprostavio japanskom premijeru Yoshihideu Sugi i organizatorima koji su uvjeravali svijet da će organizirati sigurne Igre.

Visoki dužnosnik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora zadužen za organizaciju Igara razbjesnio je japansku javnost u svibnju proglasivši da će se Olimpijske igre održati čak i ako je Tokio pod izvanrednim stanjem.

Najviše rangirani japanski medicinski stručnjak rekao je u srijedu da "domaćinstvo Olimpijskih igara zbog trenutnog stanja u državi koronavirusnih infekcija nije normalno", a radi se o jednom od najoštrijih upozorenja o rizicima Igara u Tokiju.

Obraćajući se parlamentarnom odboru, medicinski savjetnik u vladi Shigeru Omi rekao je da bi organizatori trebali objasniti javnosti zašto se ide s Igrama usred pandemije.

"Nije normalno održavati Olimpijske igre u ovakvoj situaciji", rekao je Omi.

Liječnici su rekli da bi Olimpijske igre, koje bi trebale započeti 23. srpnja nakon odgađanja od prošle godine, zategnule zdravstveni sustav koji već ima rekordne brojeve onih u kritičnom stanju.
