Novo istraživanje provedeno u Britaniji i SAD-u na tisuću ispitanika pokazalo je kako se prosječna dob u kojoj današnje generacije gube nevinost smanjila na 17.4 godina. Za usporedbu, generacija tzv. baby boomersa, odnosno, onih rođenih nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, nevinost je gubila sa 17.6 godina. Njihova su djeca pak, pripadnici generacije X, nevinost gubila s prosječnih 18.1 godinom.

Osim gubitka nevinosti, znanstvenici su ispitivali i trenutak u kojem su ispitanici osjetili seksualno 'buđenje', ali i što ga je potaknulo. U prosjeku se radi o dobi od 15 i dva mjeseca, no zanimljivo je da se kod osoba istospolne seksualne orijentacije seksualno 'buđenje' dogodilo ranije, s manje od 14 godina. Istovremeno, njihova prosječna dob gubitka nevinosti nešto je viša, odnosno, gube nevinost s prosječnih 17.9 godina.

Istraživanje je pokazalo i da, iako muški spol ranije prolazi kroz seksualno 'buđenje', ženski spol u prosjeku ranije gubi nevinost.

Možda najzanimljivija stavka istraživanja bila je pokazati što je zapravo potaknulo seksualno 'buđenje'. Tako je više od 60 posto ispitanika navelo neku glumicu ili glumca, a tridesetak posto njih navelo je prijatelja ili prijateljicu svog starijeg brata ili svoje starije sestre. Šest posto njih navelo je i rođakinju ili rođaka. Osim tih odgovora, najzanimljiviji su bili Rachel iz serije Prijatelji, Sean Connery u ulozi Jamesa Bonda, ali i lutke Barbie.

Novo istraživanje provedeno u Britaniji i SAD-u na tisuću ispitanika pokazalo je kako se prosječna dob u kojoj današnje generacije gube nevinost smanjila na 17.4 godina. Za usporedbu, generacija tzv. baby boomersa, odnosno, onih rođenih nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, nevinost je gubila sa 17.6 godina. Njihova su djeca pak, pripadnici generacije X, nevinost gubila s prosječnih 18.1 godinom.

Osim gubitka nevinosti, znanstvenici su ispitivali i trenutak u kojem su ispitanici osjetili seksualno 'buđenje', ali i što ga je potaknulo. U prosjeku se radi o dobi od 15 i dva mjeseca, no zanimljivo je da se kod osoba istospolne seksualne orijentacije seksualno 'buđenje' dogodilo ranije, s manje od 14 godina. Istovremeno, njihova prosječna dob gubitka nevinosti nešto je viša, odnosno, gube nevinost s prosječnih 17.9 godina.

Istraživanje je pokazalo i da, iako muški spol ranije prolazi kroz seksualno 'buđenje', ženski spol u prosjeku ranije gubi nevinost.

Možda najzanimljivija stavka istraživanja bila je pokazati što je zapravo potaknulo seksualno 'buđenje'. Tako je više od 60 posto ispitanika navelo neku glumicu ili glumca, a tridesetak posto njih navelo je prijatelja ili prijateljicu svog starijeg brata ili svoje starije sestre. Šest posto njih navelo je i rođakinju ili rođaka. Osim tih odgovora, najzanimljiviji su bili Rachel iz serije Prijatelji, Sean Connery u ulozi Jamesa Bonda, ali i lutke Barbie.
