Neracionalna i pretjerana upotreba antibiotika, zbog koje bakterije razvijaju otpornost, postaje sve veći javnozdravstveni problem, a o tome je za HRT govorila dr. sc. Martina Bago, mag. pharm., voditeljica Službe za znanost i nastavu.

- Najčešća pogreška kod upotrebe antibiotika je nepridržavanje uputa koje je dao liječnik koji je propisao antibiotike. Vrlo je važno uzeti točnu dozu koju je liječnik propisao i u određenim vremenskim intervalima. Isto tako je važno da se uzima točno onoliko dana koliko je liječnik propisao- kaže dr. sc. Martina Bago.

To su jedne od najčešćih pogrešaka kod terapije antibioticima, lijekovima koji djeluju tako da oštete ili potpuno unište bakteriju. 

- Možemo reći da se antibiotici uz cijepljenje ubrajaju u najveća dostignuća moderne medicine jer je njihova upotreba vrlo značajno produljila očekivano trajanje života ljudi u 20. stoljeću, kaže prof. dr. sc. Jasmina Vraneš, dr. med., iz Klinike za mikrobiologiju NZJZ-a dr. Andrija Štampar.

Smatra da se antibiotici moraju koristiti racionalno, opravdano i u pravoj dozi. Oni se osim u medicini, stomatologiji i veterini koriste i u stočarstvu kao promotori rasta stoke. Ta široka primjena dovodi do otpornosti bakterija na lijek. 

- Stvaranje rezistencije je zapravo prirodan proces. Bakterije se prilagođavaju okolišu. I onda oni, zapravo, razvijaju mutacije da bi preživjeli. I tako razvijaju mutaciju na određeni antibiotik, kaže Bago.

- Mi se baš bojimo takvih bakterija koje se više ne mogu liječiti. Svugdje je taj strah prisutan, ne samo u zapadnim zemljama, u modernoj medicini, jer se rezistentne bakterije jako šire, i danas je to globalni problem, kaže Vraneš.

Profesorica je za HRT rekla kako je već prije nekoliko godina opisan slučaj jedne indijske pacijentice kod koje je, nakon operacije kuka, izolirana Klebsiella pneumoniae. 

- Ta bakterija koja je kod nje izazvala infekciju kuka, nakon što su joj stavili endoprotezu, bila je otporna na baš sve skupine, sve grupe, sve klase - kako god hoćete reći - antibiotika kojima danas raspolažemo, kaže Vraneš.

Ono što je puno češće su bakterije koje su stekle rezistenciju na tri ili više grupa antibiotika, te superbakterije koje su tako opremljene da su jako sposobne širiti se u populaciji. 

- Sad se već govori o tom sumraku antibiotske ere, što bi nam bilo grozno, jer zahvaljujući antibioticima više se ne umire od nekakvih težih bakterijskih infekcija, ne ostaju ni teške posljedice... Zamislite si, prije su ljudi umirali od pneumonije, naglašava Vraneš.

Farmaceutska industrija u zadnjih 20-ak godina nije izmislila antibiotike koji bi djelovali drukčijim mehanizmom. Zato je važno educirati liječnike i pacijente, antibiotike koristiti kritički i racionalno. Tome doprinosi mikrobiološka dijagnostika, tako da se radi testiranje osjetljivosti određene bakterije na antibiotik, te se na taj način propisuje onaj pravi.

Neracionalna i pretjerana upotreba antibiotika, zbog koje bakterije razvijaju otpornost, postaje sve veći javnozdravstveni problem, a o tome je za HRT govorila dr. sc. Martina Bago, mag. pharm., voditeljica Službe za znanost i nastavu.

- Najčešća pogreška kod upotrebe antibiotika je nepridržavanje uputa koje je dao liječnik koji je propisao antibiotike. Vrlo je važno uzeti točnu dozu koju je liječnik propisao i u određenim vremenskim intervalima. Isto tako je važno da se uzima točno onoliko dana koliko je liječnik propisao- kaže dr. sc. Martina Bago.

To su jedne od najčešćih pogrešaka kod terapije antibioticima, lijekovima koji djeluju tako da oštete ili potpuno unište bakteriju. 

- Možemo reći da se antibiotici uz cijepljenje ubrajaju u najveća dostignuća moderne medicine jer je njihova upotreba vrlo značajno produljila očekivano trajanje života ljudi u 20. stoljeću, kaže prof. dr. sc. Jasmina Vraneš, dr. med., iz Klinike za mikrobiologiju NZJZ-a dr. Andrija Štampar.

Smatra da se antibiotici moraju koristiti racionalno, opravdano i u pravoj dozi. Oni se osim u medicini, stomatologiji i veterini koriste i u stočarstvu kao promotori rasta stoke. Ta široka primjena dovodi do otpornosti bakterija na lijek. 

- Stvaranje rezistencije je zapravo prirodan proces. Bakterije se prilagođavaju okolišu. I onda oni, zapravo, razvijaju mutacije da bi preživjeli. I tako razvijaju mutaciju na određeni antibiotik, kaže Bago.

- Mi se baš bojimo takvih bakterija koje se više ne mogu liječiti. Svugdje je taj strah prisutan, ne samo u zapadnim zemljama, u modernoj medicini, jer se rezistentne bakterije jako šire, i danas je to globalni problem, kaže Vraneš.

Profesorica je za HRT rekla kako je već prije nekoliko godina opisan slučaj jedne indijske pacijentice kod koje je, nakon operacije kuka, izolirana Klebsiella pneumoniae. 

- Ta bakterija koja je kod nje izazvala infekciju kuka, nakon što su joj stavili endoprotezu, bila je otporna na baš sve skupine, sve grupe, sve klase - kako god hoćete reći - antibiotika kojima danas raspolažemo, kaže Vraneš.

Ono što je puno češće su bakterije koje su stekle rezistenciju na tri ili više grupa antibiotika, te superbakterije koje su tako opremljene da su jako sposobne širiti se u populaciji. 

- Sad se već govori o tom sumraku antibiotske ere, što bi nam bilo grozno, jer zahvaljujući antibioticima više se ne umire od nekakvih težih bakterijskih infekcija, ne ostaju ni teške posljedice... Zamislite si, prije su ljudi umirali od pneumonije, naglašava Vraneš.

Farmaceutska industrija u zadnjih 20-ak godina nije izmislila antibiotike koji bi djelovali drukčijim mehanizmom. Zato je važno educirati liječnike i pacijente, antibiotike koristiti kritički i racionalno. Tome doprinosi mikrobiološka dijagnostika, tako da se radi testiranje osjetljivosti određene bakterije na antibiotik, te se na taj način propisuje onaj pravi.

Neracionalna i pretjerana upotreba antibiotika, zbog koje bakterije razvijaju otpornost, postaje sve veći javnozdravstveni problem, a o tome je za HRT govorila dr. sc. Martina Bago, mag. pharm., voditeljica Službe za znanost i nastavu.

- Najčešća pogreška kod upotrebe antibiotika je nepridržavanje uputa koje je dao liječnik koji je propisao antibiotike. Vrlo je važno uzeti točnu dozu koju je liječnik propisao i u određenim vremenskim intervalima. Isto tako je važno da se uzima točno onoliko dana koliko je liječnik propisao- kaže dr. sc. Martina Bago.

To su jedne od najčešćih pogrešaka kod terapije antibioticima, lijekovima koji djeluju tako da oštete ili potpuno unište bakteriju. 

- Možemo reći da se antibiotici uz cijepljenje ubrajaju u najveća dostignuća moderne medicine jer je njihova upotreba vrlo značajno produljila očekivano trajanje života ljudi u 20. stoljeću, kaže prof. dr. sc. Jasmina Vraneš, dr. med., iz Klinike za mikrobiologiju NZJZ-a dr. Andrija Štampar.

Smatra da se antibiotici moraju koristiti racionalno, opravdano i u pravoj dozi. Oni se osim u medicini, stomatologiji i veterini koriste i u stočarstvu kao promotori rasta stoke. Ta široka primjena dovodi do otpornosti bakterija na lijek. 

- Stvaranje rezistencije je zapravo prirodan proces. Bakterije se prilagođavaju okolišu. I onda oni, zapravo, razvijaju mutacije da bi preživjeli. I tako razvijaju mutaciju na određeni antibiotik, kaže Bago.

- Mi se baš bojimo takvih bakterija koje se više ne mogu liječiti. Svugdje je taj strah prisutan, ne samo u zapadnim zemljama, u modernoj medicini, jer se rezistentne bakterije jako šire, i danas je to globalni problem, kaže Vraneš.

Profesorica je za HRT rekla kako je već prije nekoliko godina opisan slučaj jedne indijske pacijentice kod koje je, nakon operacije kuka, izolirana Klebsiella pneumoniae. 

- Ta bakterija koja je kod nje izazvala infekciju kuka, nakon što su joj stavili endoprotezu, bila je otporna na baš sve skupine, sve grupe, sve klase - kako god hoćete reći - antibiotika kojima danas raspolažemo, kaže Vraneš.

Ono što je puno češće su bakterije koje su stekle rezistenciju na tri ili više grupa antibiotika, te superbakterije koje su tako opremljene da su jako sposobne širiti se u populaciji. 

- Sad se već govori o tom sumraku antibiotske ere, što bi nam bilo grozno, jer zahvaljujući antibioticima više se ne umire od nekakvih težih bakterijskih infekcija, ne ostaju ni teške posljedice... Zamislite si, prije su ljudi umirali od pneumonije, naglašava Vraneš.
