Teško je ovih dana sresti bilo koga tko se ne žali da ga je ‘satrao‘ virus. Sezona respiratornih infekcija u Hrvatskoj je na vrhuncu, a uz prehladu, gripu, koronu i hripavac, uvelike je prisutan respiratorni sincicijski virus RSV. Stoga se enormno u ljekarnama prodaju antipiretici i sirupi od islandskog lišaja i drugih ljekovitih biljaka koji smanjuju iritaciju i suhoću grla te ublažavaju kašalj i promuklost.

Pacijenti navode kako prilično dugo, po deset pa čak i 15 dana vuku viroze, muči ih dugotrajni kašalj, začepljeni sinusi, promuklost, žale se na jaku glavobolju, grlobolju, opću slabost. Liječnici obiteljske medicine kazuju kako im najviše dolaze pacijenti sa simptomima kašlja, i najčešća je procjena da se radi o RSV virusu. Nije to nikakav novi virus, ovo je upravo njegovo vrijeme, a kod njega kašalj može trajati i do dva mjeseca.

U vrijeme pandemije korona virusa broj RSV infekcija u Hrvatskoj drastično je opao. No tako je bilo i sa drugim zarazama jer su se nosile maske i vladale druge epidemiološke mjere, kojih odavno nema. RSV se širi kapljičnim putem, uključujući bliski kontakt poput kihanja i kašljanja. Za većinu zaraženih RSV je poput prehlade, no može biti vrlo opasan za nedonoščad, dojenčad i malu djecu. Kod tako male djece, čim nastane sekret, počne kašalj, a zbog tako malog bića sve je dramatično. Većina djece do druge godine uhvati RSV, a najčešće obolijevaju oni najmanji, u dobi do šest mjeseci. Nakon preboljenja nažalost ne ostaje neka dulja zaštita, ipak u slučaju nove zaraze očekuje se relativno blaža klinička slika.

Laboratorij za mikrobiologiju HZJZ-a u zadnjih je mjesec dana zabilježio povećani udio uzoraka koji su pozitivni na RSV s osam na 28 posto, i to većinom u djece mlađe od četiri godine.

Što se tiče koronavirusa, iako nije ni blizu razine prethodnih godina, također se širi. Na tjednoj bazi u Hrvatskoj ima oko 4000 oboljelih od Covida, a u zadnje vrijeme sve se više širi podvarijanta omikrona JN.1. Ona se proširila u svim europskim zemljama zahvaljujući mutaciji u proteinu šiljka koja mu olakšava i vezivanje i prenošenje zaraze.

I dalje se COVID najprije manifestira upalom grla, ubrzo nakon čega slijedi začepljenost nosa, curenje nosa i osjećaj iscrpljenosti s umorom i bolovima u mišićima. S infekcijama COVID-a je povezan i ‘suhi napadački kašalj‘ kojemu je potrebno dulje da nestane od drugih simptoma, a zanimljivo je da se zaraženi varijantom JN.1 sve više žale na probleme sa spavanjem te na tjeskobu kao i na crijevne infekcije.

Stručnjaci tumače kako se čini da varijanta JN.1 preferira (za razliku od Delte i prije SARS1) ACE2 receptore otporne na cijepanje, koji se nalaze u tankom crijevu i tamo se usidri.

Ugledni svjetski profesor molekularne medicine dr. Eric Topol kaže kako je nemoguće predvidjeti kako će se JN.1 širiti, no da se „u svakom slučaju neće ponoviti studeni 2021., kada se tek pojavio omikron”.

Britanske zdravstvene vlasti objavile su kako je u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu čak 10,8 posto ispitanih stanovnika koji su oboljeli od ove varijante JN.1 prijavilo probleme sa spavanjem. Također njih 10,5 posto navelo je zabrinutost ili tjeskobu kao simptom COVID-a. Curenje iz nosa bio je najčešće prijavljen simptom, a ostalo su također standardni simptomi kao što su kašalj, bolno grlo, glavobolja, bolovi u mišićima, umor...

Teško je ovih dana sresti bilo koga tko se ne žali da ga je ‘satrao‘ virus. Sezona respiratornih infekcija u Hrvatskoj je na vrhuncu, a uz prehladu, gripu, koronu i hripavac, uvelike je prisutan respiratorni sincicijski virus RSV. Stoga se enormno u ljekarnama prodaju antipiretici i sirupi od islandskog lišaja i drugih ljekovitih biljaka koji smanjuju iritaciju i suhoću grla te ublažavaju kašalj i promuklost.

Pacijenti navode kako prilično dugo, po deset pa čak i 15 dana vuku viroze, muči ih dugotrajni kašalj, začepljeni sinusi, promuklost, žale se na jaku glavobolju, grlobolju, opću slabost. Liječnici obiteljske medicine kazuju kako im najviše dolaze pacijenti sa simptomima kašlja, i najčešća je procjena da se radi o RSV virusu. Nije to nikakav novi virus, ovo je upravo njegovo vrijeme, a kod njega kašalj može trajati i do dva mjeseca.

U vrijeme pandemije korona virusa broj RSV infekcija u Hrvatskoj drastično je opao. No tako je bilo i sa drugim zarazama jer su se nosile maske i vladale druge epidemiološke mjere, kojih odavno nema. RSV se širi kapljičnim putem, uključujući bliski kontakt poput kihanja i kašljanja. Za većinu zaraženih RSV je poput prehlade, no može biti vrlo opasan za nedonoščad, dojenčad i malu djecu. Kod tako male djece, čim nastane sekret, počne kašalj, a zbog tako malog bića sve je dramatično. Većina djece do druge godine uhvati RSV, a najčešće obolijevaju oni najmanji, u dobi do šest mjeseci. Nakon preboljenja nažalost ne ostaje neka dulja zaštita, ipak u slučaju nove zaraze očekuje se relativno blaža klinička slika.

Laboratorij za mikrobiologiju HZJZ-a u zadnjih je mjesec dana zabilježio povećani udio uzoraka koji su pozitivni na RSV s osam na 28 posto, i to većinom u djece mlađe od četiri godine.

Što se tiče koronavirusa, iako nije ni blizu razine prethodnih godina, također se širi. Na tjednoj bazi u Hrvatskoj ima oko 4000 oboljelih od Covida, a u zadnje vrijeme sve se više širi podvarijanta omikrona JN.1. Ona se proširila u svim europskim zemljama zahvaljujući mutaciji u proteinu šiljka koja mu olakšava i vezivanje i prenošenje zaraze.

I dalje se COVID najprije manifestira upalom grla, ubrzo nakon čega slijedi začepljenost nosa, curenje nosa i osjećaj iscrpljenosti s umorom i bolovima u mišićima. S infekcijama COVID-a je povezan i ‘suhi napadački kašalj‘ kojemu je potrebno dulje da nestane od drugih simptoma, a zanimljivo je da se zaraženi varijantom JN.1 sve više žale na probleme sa spavanjem te na tjeskobu kao i na crijevne infekcije.

Stručnjaci tumače kako se čini da varijanta JN.1 preferira (za razliku od Delte i prije SARS1) ACE2 receptore otporne na cijepanje, koji se nalaze u tankom crijevu i tamo se usidri.

Ugledni svjetski profesor molekularne medicine dr. Eric Topol kaže kako je nemoguće predvidjeti kako će se JN.1 širiti, no da se „u svakom slučaju neće ponoviti studeni 2021., kada se tek pojavio omikron”.

Britanske zdravstvene vlasti objavile su kako je u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu čak 10,8 posto ispitanih stanovnika koji su oboljeli od ove varijante JN.1 prijavilo probleme sa spavanjem. Također njih 10,5 posto navelo je zabrinutost ili tjeskobu kao simptom COVID-a. Curenje iz nosa bio je najčešće prijavljen simptom, a ostalo su također standardni simptomi kao što su kašalj, bolno grlo, glavobolja, bolovi u mišićima, umor...
