Pero Jelinić (75), hrvatski državljanin koji je ubijen u subotu tijekom lova na lavove u Južnoafričkoj Republici, poznati je i pasionirani lovac s Paga, dugogodišnji član tamošnjeg Lovačkog društva Kamenjarka i vlasnik tamošnjeg hotela Biser.

Njegov prijatelj Slavke Pernar ispričao je za portal 057info da je Jelinić planirao svoju bogatu lovačku karijeru okruniti trofejem lava. Za svoju dob bio je iznimno vitalan, te mu nije bilo problem otići u Afriku na lov, no to ga je stajalo života.

"Bio je strastveni lovac na krupnu i sitnu divljač, i u toj potrazi obišao je veći dio svijeta. Posljednju godinu dana dao je svoj hotel u zakup baš kako bi se posvetio stvarima koje je planirao ostvariti i uživao u zasluženoj mirovini. Dočekao je nažalost najružniji kraj - poginuo je od onoga što je naviše volio", rekao je Pernar.

Kako prenosi najveći južnoafrički informativni portal News24, glasnogovornica tamošnje policije Charlize van der Linden potvrdila je da su ubijeni Jelinić i još dvojica Hrvata bili u lovu na lavove uzgojene u zatočeništvu na farmi Leeubosch Lodge kod Setlagolea, na granici s Bocvanom. Lovci su već bili ubili jednog lava i pratili su drugog kada je Jelinić ustrijeljen. Policija istražuje slučaj te jesu legalno posjedovali oružje i streljivo.

"U ovom trenutku nije jasno tko je ispalio kobni metak koji je usmrtio Jelinića. Istraga je u tijeku", kazala je.

Pero Jelinić (75), hrvatski državljanin koji je ubijen u subotu tijekom lova na lavove u Južnoafričkoj Republici, poznati je i pasionirani lovac s Paga, dugogodišnji član tamošnjeg Lovačkog društva Kamenjarka i vlasnik tamošnjeg hotela Biser.

Njegov prijatelj Slavke Pernar ispričao je za portal 057info da je Jelinić planirao svoju bogatu lovačku karijeru okruniti trofejem lava. Za svoju dob bio je iznimno vitalan, te mu nije bilo problem otići u Afriku na lov, no to ga je stajalo života.

"Bio je strastveni lovac na krupnu i sitnu divljač, i u toj potrazi obišao je veći dio svijeta. Posljednju godinu dana dao je svoj hotel u zakup baš kako bi se posvetio stvarima koje je planirao ostvariti i uživao u zasluženoj mirovini. Dočekao je nažalost najružniji kraj - poginuo je od onoga što je naviše volio", rekao je Pernar.

Kako prenosi najveći južnoafrički informativni portal News24, glasnogovornica tamošnje policije Charlize van der Linden potvrdila je da su ubijeni Jelinić i još dvojica Hrvata bili u lovu na lavove uzgojene u zatočeništvu na farmi Leeubosch Lodge kod Setlagolea, na granici s Bocvanom. Lovci su već bili ubili jednog lava i pratili su drugog kada je Jelinić ustrijeljen. Policija istražuje slučaj te jesu legalno posjedovali oružje i streljivo.

"U ovom trenutku nije jasno tko je ispalio kobni metak koji je usmrtio Jelinića. Istraga je u tijeku", kazala je.
