Svjetsko veteransko prvenstvo u mačevanju ovog je četvrtka svečano otvoreno u Zadru, okupivši više od 850 natjecatelja iz 46 zemalja diljem svijeta, sa svih kontinenata.

Na svjetskom prvenstvu koje se do 12. listopada održava u Sportskom centru Višnjik, mačevaoci veterani i veteranke natjecati će se u sva tri oruža (mač, sablja i floret) te 18 kategorija (pojedinačnih i ekipnih), podijeljeni u tri dobne skupine (50+, 60+ i 70+).

Među natjecateljima je i pet domaćih predstavnika, Zagrepčani Gordana Jajčević, Emin Džanić i Darko Limov, Osječanin Branko Lozančić, te Robert Pavlović.

Najviše se očekuje od Limova, trenera i nacionalnog izbornika hrvatske mačevalačke reprezentacije u floretu čiji sportaši postižu zapažene rezultate proteklih godina, a ujedno i jednog od najboljih hrvatskih mačevaoca.

„Veselimo se i što bilježimo rekordan broj natjecatelja, najveći dosad, te što smo uz mali broj volontera uspjeli organizirati događaj takve magnitude na svjetskoj razini,“ kazao je direktor natjecanja Filip Vuković.

„Nadamo se također da bi Limov mogao osvojiti jednu od medalja,“ dodao je Vuković.

Ovo je prvo veliko natjecanje koje Hrvatski mačevalački savez organizira u Zadru, a u sklopu planova da se mačevanje, između ostalog, razvije i u tom gradu.

Svjetsko veteransko prvenstvo u mačevanju ovog je četvrtka svečano otvoreno u Zadru, okupivši više od 850 natjecatelja iz 46 zemalja diljem svijeta, sa svih kontinenata.

Na svjetskom prvenstvu koje se do 12. listopada održava u Sportskom centru Višnjik, mačevaoci veterani i veteranke natjecati će se u sva tri oruža (mač, sablja i floret) te 18 kategorija (pojedinačnih i ekipnih), podijeljeni u tri dobne skupine (50+, 60+ i 70+).

Među natjecateljima je i pet domaćih predstavnika, Zagrepčani Gordana Jajčević, Emin Džanić i Darko Limov, Osječanin Branko Lozančić, te Robert Pavlović.

Najviše se očekuje od Limova, trenera i nacionalnog izbornika hrvatske mačevalačke reprezentacije u floretu čiji sportaši postižu zapažene rezultate proteklih godina, a ujedno i jednog od najboljih hrvatskih mačevaoca.

„Veselimo se i što bilježimo rekordan broj natjecatelja, najveći dosad, te što smo uz mali broj volontera uspjeli organizirati događaj takve magnitude na svjetskoj razini,“ kazao je direktor natjecanja Filip Vuković.

„Nadamo se također da bi Limov mogao osvojiti jednu od medalja,“ dodao je Vuković.

Ovo je prvo veliko natjecanje koje Hrvatski mačevalački savez organizira u Zadru, a u sklopu planova da se mačevanje, između ostalog, razvije i u tom gradu.

Otvoreno Svjetsko veteransko prvenstvo u mačevanju - okupilo se više od 850 natjecatelja iz 46 zemalja diljem svijeta

Svjetsko veteransko prvenstvo u mačevanju ovog je četvrtka svečano otvoreno u Zadru, okupivši više od 850 natjecatelja iz 46 zemalja diljem svijeta, sa svih kontinenata.

Na svjetskom prvenstvu koje se do 12. listopada održava u Sportskom centru Višnjik, mačevaoci veterani i veteranke natjecati će se u sva tri oruža (mač, sablja i floret) te 18 kategorija (pojedinačnih i ekipnih), podijeljeni u tri dobne skupine (50+, 60+ i 70+).

Među natjecateljima je i pet domaćih predstavnika, Zagrepčani Gordana Jajčević, Emin Džanić i Darko Limov, Osječanin Branko Lozančić, te Robert Pavlović.

Najviše se očekuje od Limova, trenera i nacionalnog izbornika hrvatske mačevalačke reprezentacije u floretu čiji sportaši postižu zapažene rezultate proteklih godina, a ujedno i jednog od najboljih hrvatskih mačevaoca.

„Veselimo se i što bilježimo rekordan broj natjecatelja, najveći dosad, te što smo uz mali broj volontera uspjeli organizirati događaj takve magnitude na svjetskoj razini,“ kazao je direktor natjecanja Filip Vuković.

„Nadamo se također da bi Limov mogao osvojiti jednu od medalja,“ dodao je Vuković.

Ovo je prvo veliko natjecanje koje Hrvatski mačevalački savez organizira u Zadru, a u sklopu planova da se mačevanje, između ostalog, razvije i u tom gradu.
