Marvelova špica s logom iznimno popularnog studija u kojoj se pojavljuju Kapetan Amerika, Iron Man i ekipa, svako malo biva isprekidana vriskovima i porezana kandžama.

Tako započinje “Vukodlak noću” (“Werewolf By Night”), novi streaming projekt za servis Disney+ koji dolazi s prefiksom “Marvel Studio’s Special Presentation”. Riječ je o konceptualnom 53-minutnom projektu na razmeđi jedne epizode TV serije i srednjemetražnog filma.

Prilično neobično, jer Marvel je dosad radio ili filmove (nabrojimo samo recentne poput “Black Widow”, “Shang Chija”, “Vječnika”, zadnjeg “Spider-Mana”, “Doktora Strangea 2” i “Thora 4”) ili serije (“WandaWision”, “Loki”, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, “Hawkeye”).

Kao da to nije dovoljno neobično, “Vukodlak noću” je i prvi veći Marvelov iskorak u horor, ako ne računamo Sonyjeva “Morbiusa”, snimljenog prema Marvelovu stripu, te seriju "Moon Knight" (nije toliko hororska).

Naravno, horor treba shvatiti uvjetno rečeno. Jer, nije “Werewolf By Night” strašan kao npr. “Smile”, ali u fokusu priče su čudovišta, poput titularnog vukodlaka.

Nedvojbeno, ovo je posveta starim crno-bijelim hororima o čudovištima u produkciji Universala (“Drakula”, “Mumija”, “Vukodlak”, “Frankenstein”...), dijelom i onih u produkciji studija Hammer sa sličnim antagonističkim likovima, utemeljena na istoimenim Marvelovim stripovima s kraja sedamdesetih.

Posveta je hvalevrijedna i dobro zamišljena, ali realizirana tek na mahove dobro. Crno-bijela fotografija djeluje odveć digitalno da bi do kraja stvorila gotičku atmosferu čudovišne hororske prošlosti i “Vukodlak noću” pati od manjka ugođajnih sjena.

Stilizacija je zgodno potencirana povremenim tragovima crvene boje unutar c/b slike, ali opet ništa što nismo već vidjeli u “Sin Cityju”.

Finalni upliv boje u crno-bijelu sliku lijepa je posveta “Čarobnjaku iz Oza”. Michael Giacchino, dežurni Marvelov skladatelj u ulozi redatelja, ima oko gotovo kao i uho, no protiv njega radi materijal.

Gledatelj istovremeno traži još (prekratko trajanje), a i svega mu je previše (puno zbivanja i likova). Priča se tiče sazivanja poznatih lovaca na čudovišta nakon smrti najvećeg među njima Ulyssesa Bloodstonea (Richard Dixon glasom).

Tko od njih sredi neku zvijer, postat će novi vođa. A među njima su Ulyssesova otuđena kćerka Elsa Bloodstone (Laura Donnelly) i Jack Russell (Gael García Bernal), lovac na čudovišta koji je i sam čudovište, titularni vukodlak.

Jedino njih dvoje, posebice Jack, ostavljaju dojam od likova među kojima će biti predstavljen i poznati Man-Thing. Ipak, Marvelov projekt je većinski oslobođen tipične franšizacije i pozivanja na druge likove (nećete vidjeti klasične superjunake osim na uvodnoj špici), što je definitivno njegov plus i razlikuje ga od standardnih ostvarenja studija.

“Vukodlak noću” je u tom smislu definitivno malo drukčiji Marvel, osvježenje, čak i svojevrsna subverzija, samo ostaje žal da će teško ostati u sjećanju puno dulje od ove Noći vještica.

Marvelova špica s logom iznimno popularnog studija u kojoj se pojavljuju Kapetan Amerika, Iron Man i ekipa, svako malo biva isprekidana vriskovima i porezana kandžama.

Tako započinje “Vukodlak noću” (“Werewolf By Night”), novi streaming projekt za servis Disney+ koji dolazi s prefiksom “Marvel Studio’s Special Presentation”. Riječ je o konceptualnom 53-minutnom projektu na razmeđi jedne epizode TV serije i srednjemetražnog filma.

Prilično neobično, jer Marvel je dosad radio ili filmove (nabrojimo samo recentne poput “Black Widow”, “Shang Chija”, “Vječnika”, zadnjeg “Spider-Mana”, “Doktora Strangea 2” i “Thora 4”) ili serije (“WandaWision”, “Loki”, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, “Hawkeye”).

Kao da to nije dovoljno neobično, “Vukodlak noću” je i prvi veći Marvelov iskorak u horor, ako ne računamo Sonyjeva “Morbiusa”, snimljenog prema Marvelovu stripu, te seriju "Moon Knight" (nije toliko hororska).

Naravno, horor treba shvatiti uvjetno rečeno. Jer, nije “Werewolf By Night” strašan kao npr. “Smile”, ali u fokusu priče su čudovišta, poput titularnog vukodlaka.

Nedvojbeno, ovo je posveta starim crno-bijelim hororima o čudovištima u produkciji Universala (“Drakula”, “Mumija”, “Vukodlak”, “Frankenstein”...), dijelom i onih u produkciji studija Hammer sa sličnim antagonističkim likovima, utemeljena na istoimenim Marvelovim stripovima s kraja sedamdesetih.

Posveta je hvalevrijedna i dobro zamišljena, ali realizirana tek na mahove dobro. Crno-bijela fotografija djeluje odveć digitalno da bi do kraja stvorila gotičku atmosferu čudovišne hororske prošlosti i “Vukodlak noću” pati od manjka ugođajnih sjena.

Stilizacija je zgodno potencirana povremenim tragovima crvene boje unutar c/b slike, ali opet ništa što nismo već vidjeli u “Sin Cityju”.

Finalni upliv boje u crno-bijelu sliku lijepa je posveta “Čarobnjaku iz Oza”. Michael Giacchino, dežurni Marvelov skladatelj u ulozi redatelja, ima oko gotovo kao i uho, no protiv njega radi materijal.

Gledatelj istovremeno traži još (prekratko trajanje), a i svega mu je previše (puno zbivanja i likova). Priča se tiče sazivanja poznatih lovaca na čudovišta nakon smrti najvećeg među njima Ulyssesa Bloodstonea (Richard Dixon glasom).

Tko od njih sredi neku zvijer, postat će novi vođa. A među njima su Ulyssesova otuđena kćerka Elsa Bloodstone (Laura Donnelly) i Jack Russell (Gael García Bernal), lovac na čudovišta koji je i sam čudovište, titularni vukodlak.

Jedino njih dvoje, posebice Jack, ostavljaju dojam od likova među kojima će biti predstavljen i poznati Man-Thing. Ipak, Marvelov projekt je većinski oslobođen tipične franšizacije i pozivanja na druge likove (nećete vidjeti klasične superjunake osim na uvodnoj špici), što je definitivno njegov plus i razlikuje ga od standardnih ostvarenja studija.

“Vukodlak noću” je u tom smislu definitivno malo drukčiji Marvel, osvježenje, čak i svojevrsna subverzija, samo ostaje žal da će teško ostati u sjećanju puno dulje od ove Noći vještica.

Čudovišta iz Marvelova ormara: za Noć vještica popularni studio snimio horor ‘specijal‘ koji je posveta starim crno-bijelim filmovima o monstrumima

Marvelova špica s logom iznimno popularnog studija u kojoj se pojavljuju Kapetan Amerika, Iron Man i ekipa, svako malo biva isprekidana vriskovima i porezana kandžama.

Tako započinje “Vukodlak noću” (“Werewolf By Night”), novi streaming projekt za servis Disney+ koji dolazi s prefiksom “Marvel Studio’s Special Presentation”. Riječ je o konceptualnom 53-minutnom projektu na razmeđi jedne epizode TV serije i srednjemetražnog filma.

Prilično neobično, jer Marvel je dosad radio ili filmove (nabrojimo samo recentne poput “Black Widow”, “Shang Chija”, “Vječnika”, zadnjeg “Spider-Mana”, “Doktora Strangea 2” i “Thora 4”) ili serije (“WandaWision”, “Loki”, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, “Hawkeye”).

Kao da to nije dovoljno neobično, “Vukodlak noću” je i prvi veći Marvelov iskorak u horor, ako ne računamo Sonyjeva “Morbiusa”, snimljenog prema Marvelovu stripu, te seriju "Moon Knight" (nije toliko hororska).

Naravno, horor treba shvatiti uvjetno rečeno. Jer, nije “Werewolf By Night” strašan kao npr. “Smile”, ali u fokusu priče su čudovišta, poput titularnog vukodlaka.

Nedvojbeno, ovo je posveta starim crno-bijelim hororima o čudovištima u produkciji Universala (“Drakula”, “Mumija”, “Vukodlak”, “Frankenstein”...), dijelom i onih u produkciji studija Hammer sa sličnim antagonističkim likovima, utemeljena na istoimenim Marvelovim stripovima s kraja sedamdesetih.
