Kvalitetna osmodijelna serija "The Defeated" snimljena je u produkciji Njemačke, Kanade i Francuske, s međunarodnom ekipom ispred i iza kamere.

Kreatori i režiseri su Måns Mårlind i Björn Stein ("Most", "Underworld: Buđenje"), a jedan od producenata je Rick McCallum ("Ratovi zvijezda").

Glumačku ekipu, pak, predvode nesuđeni hollywoodski superstar Taylor Kitsch ("Battleship", "John Carter", "Divljaci", "Jedini preživjeli", "Samo za hrabre", "21 most") i diva njemačke kinematografije Nina Hoss ("Barbara", "Phoenix").

Tu su još i Michael C. Hall ("Dexter"), Logan Marshall-Green ("The Invitation", "Upgrade"), Tuppence Middleton ("Downton Abbey", "Mank") i Sebastian Koch ("Život drugih", "Djelo bez autora").

Svi se glumci dobro snalaze u ulogama likova s nijansama sive u bombardiranom Berlinu, a napose se Hoss osjeća kao kod kuće u razrušenom ambijentu nakon uloge u "Feniksu".

Berlin je izvrsno rekreiran s pravim setovima u Pragu, bez pomoći računalnih učinaka i u akcijskim scenama eksplozija. Serija djeluje vizualno i scenografski autentično, čime uvlači gledatelja u priču o policijskom detektivu iz New Yorka.

On je Max McLaughlin (sazreli Kitsch, prokušan i u TV formatu zahvaljujući ulogama u serijama "Friday Night Lights", "True Detective 2", "Waco") i dolazi u Berlin 1946., godinu dana nakon završetka Drugog svjetskog rata, kako bi pomogao osoviti tamošnju policiju prema američkom modelu, a uz pomoć lokalke Elsie (Hoss).

Berlin je podijeljen na sektore (američki, ruski...) otkad je rat gotov. No, kako vođa ruskog sektora Alexander Izosimov (Ivan G'Vera) kaže Maxu, "rat nije gotov, samo je ušao u drugu fazu".

I doista, Berlin je pozornica za tihi rat, budući "cold war", kojom defiliraju okupatori, donedavni nacisti, gangsteri, prostitutke, ratni profiteri koji pomažu nazijima da pobjegnu, a ovi im plaćaju ukradenim umjetninama...

Obnova Berlina je na krhkim temeljima, na snazi je posvemašnji kriminal, tj. "survival" koji gotovo da ne pita sredstvo, a Max je prihvatio zadatak i došao u taj pakao, "daleko od svoje postaje", kako bi pronašao brata-vojnika Moritza (Marshall-Green), nestalog negdje na tom području otkako je sa svojom trupom otkrio njemački konc-logor.

Maxova perspektiva miješa se s lokalnom u seriji koja nije lako štivo, ali je za ljubitelje zahtjevnije televizije definitivno za preporuku.

"Poraženi" spajaju "pulpovski", "noirovski" triler i postratnu dramu, tj. američku i europsku kinematografiju, a kreću ka dramskom vrhuncu kad se dozna kako traumatizirani Moritz iz sjene ubija naciste na brutalne načine, odbijajući im dopustiti da se "vraćaju životima kao da se nije ništa dogodilo", što Max kao pripadnik zakona ne odobrava.

Ništa nije crno i bijelo u seriji. Američki naslov "The Defeated", pod kojim se "Poraženi" prikazuju na Netflixu, bolje pristaje ovoj seriji od izvornog "Shadowplay".

Politička "igra u sjeni" naveliko se igra u seriji, ali u tu igru svatko ulazi (moralno) "poražen", a nerijetko i iz nje izlazi, na ovaj ili onaj način, čak i ako se čini pobjednikom.

Kvalitetna osmodijelna serija "The Defeated" snimljena je u produkciji Njemačke, Kanade i Francuske, s međunarodnom ekipom ispred i iza kamere.

Kreatori i režiseri su Måns Mårlind i Björn Stein ("Most", "Underworld: Buđenje"), a jedan od producenata je Rick McCallum ("Ratovi zvijezda").

Glumačku ekipu, pak, predvode nesuđeni hollywoodski superstar Taylor Kitsch ("Battleship", "John Carter", "Divljaci", "Jedini preživjeli", "Samo za hrabre", "21 most") i diva njemačke kinematografije Nina Hoss ("Barbara", "Phoenix").

Tu su još i Michael C. Hall ("Dexter"), Logan Marshall-Green ("The Invitation", "Upgrade"), Tuppence Middleton ("Downton Abbey", "Mank") i Sebastian Koch ("Život drugih", "Djelo bez autora").

Svi se glumci dobro snalaze u ulogama likova s nijansama sive u bombardiranom Berlinu, a napose se Hoss osjeća kao kod kuće u razrušenom ambijentu nakon uloge u "Feniksu".

Berlin je izvrsno rekreiran s pravim setovima u Pragu, bez pomoći računalnih učinaka i u akcijskim scenama eksplozija. Serija djeluje vizualno i scenografski autentično, čime uvlači gledatelja u priču o policijskom detektivu iz New Yorka.

On je Max McLaughlin (sazreli Kitsch, prokušan i u TV formatu zahvaljujući ulogama u serijama "Friday Night Lights", "True Detective 2", "Waco") i dolazi u Berlin 1946., godinu dana nakon završetka Drugog svjetskog rata, kako bi pomogao osoviti tamošnju policiju prema američkom modelu, a uz pomoć lokalke Elsie (Hoss).

Berlin je podijeljen na sektore (američki, ruski...) otkad je rat gotov. No, kako vođa ruskog sektora Alexander Izosimov (Ivan G'Vera) kaže Maxu, "rat nije gotov, samo je ušao u drugu fazu".

I doista, Berlin je pozornica za tihi rat, budući "cold war", kojom defiliraju okupatori, donedavni nacisti, gangsteri, prostitutke, ratni profiteri koji pomažu nazijima da pobjegnu, a ovi im plaćaju ukradenim umjetninama...

Obnova Berlina je na krhkim temeljima, na snazi je posvemašnji kriminal, tj. "survival" koji gotovo da ne pita sredstvo, a Max je prihvatio zadatak i došao u taj pakao, "daleko od svoje postaje", kako bi pronašao brata-vojnika Moritza (Marshall-Green), nestalog negdje na tom području otkako je sa svojom trupom otkrio njemački konc-logor.

Maxova perspektiva miješa se s lokalnom u seriji koja nije lako štivo, ali je za ljubitelje zahtjevnije televizije definitivno za preporuku.

"Poraženi" spajaju "pulpovski", "noirovski" triler i postratnu dramu, tj. američku i europsku kinematografiju, a kreću ka dramskom vrhuncu kad se dozna kako traumatizirani Moritz iz sjene ubija naciste na brutalne načine, odbijajući im dopustiti da se "vraćaju životima kao da se nije ništa dogodilo", što Max kao pripadnik zakona ne odobrava.

Ništa nije crno i bijelo u seriji. Američki naslov "The Defeated", pod kojim se "Poraženi" prikazuju na Netflixu, bolje pristaje ovoj seriji od izvornog "Shadowplay".

Politička "igra u sjeni" naveliko se igra u seriji, ali u tu igru svatko ulazi (moralno) "poražen", a nerijetko i iz nje izlazi, na ovaj ili onaj način, čak i ako se čini pobjednikom.
