Hrabar odabir boja i mnoštvo interesantnih detalja i pali smo na prvu. Na maštovito preuređen stari namještaj mlade britanske umjetnice, koja, napomenimo i to, živi u vrlo slikovitom stanu kojeg je, naravno, sama uredila. Ilustratorica Victoria Richards iz Bristola vlasnica je webshopa Handsome Vintage na Etsyju, a nama je u kratkom razgovoru otkrila kako uz skroman budžet od starog namještaja napraviti komade koji će oživjeti svaki prostor.

Za početak nas je zanimalo gdje pronalazi rabljeni namještaj te na što osobito obraća pažnju kada ga bira.
- Namještaj pronalazim posvuda: u trgovinama rabljenim stvarima, zalagaonicama, a u posljednje se vrijeme i Facebook pokazao začudno plodnim. Prilikom kupovine izrazito pazim, da je namještaj načinjen od drva, da je čvrst, bez puno oštećenja i ogrebotina - navodi Victoria te dodaje kako preuređenje komada drvenog namještaja zna biti vrlo zahtjevna zadaća, no uz poštivanje temeljnih pravila i dobru pripremu sve postaje puno lakše.

Dodatno je naglasila kako prilikom odabira treba voditi računa da komad koji planiramo preurediti da nije premazan s puno slojeva laka. Kako nam je objasnila, te slojeve treba izbrusiti vrlo pažljivo kako se ne bi oštetila površina na koju su naneseni, što zna dodatno otežati cijeli projekt preuređenja. Nažalost, većina namještaja s polovice prošlog stoljeća upravo je takva.
Victoria preuređenje uvijek započinje brušenjem namještaja brusnim papirom. Potom slijedi čišćenje uz pomoć meke krpe, tople vode i sapuna. Kad je komad potpuno suh, umjetnica ga premaže slojem temeljne boje, a potom slijedi najzabavniji dio.

- Kad se primer osuši, prebojam namještaj bojom za drvo i metal. Biram boje na bazi vode jer mi je s njima jednostavnije raditi, lakše se čiste i nemaju intenzivan miris. Valjkom nanesem tri tanka sloja, svakog pustim barem sat da se suši, a zatim se hvatam ilustriranja.
Uzorak nanesem uz pomoć markera, osobito su mi dragi Posca Marker Paint Pens - objašnjava nam ilustratorica te dodaje kako unaprijed ima samo opću ideju o tome kako bi dizajn trebao izgledati, dok radi pušta da se stvari slobodno razvijaju...

Oduševljeni intenzivnom plavom bojom na zidu njenog dnevnog boravka upitali smo je kako se odlučila baš za tu upečatljivu nijansu.
- Uh, baš volim tu nijansu! To je Valpsarov Picasso blue, živahna i topla plava koja je dodatno istaknula sve boje u toj prostoriji. Poželjela sam obojati je u plavo nakon što sam nedavno ponovno odgledala film Seks i grad, u kojem Carrie, u jednoj od zadnjih scena, oboja svoj stan u predivnu nijansu plave - priznaje Victoria.

Upitali smo je i za grafiku iznad kamina. Je li nam se samo učinilo ili je na njoj Amy Winehouse s usisavačem?
- Riječ je o radu poznatog pop artista iz 60-ih, Geralda Lainga. Laing je napravio seriju screenprintova Amy Winehouse. Ovaj je rad baziran na jednoj paparazzi fotografiji snimljenoj ispred Amyna stana.

Jako mi je draga, a draga mi je i Amy. Nekoć sam radila u galeriji u kojoj je Laing izlagao, kupila sam ovaj rad nedugo nakon što je Amy umrla. Baš u to vrijeme umro je i Laing - prisjetila se umjetnica.
Nama njena priča djeluje nadahnjujuće. Jedva se čekamo dočepati komada starog namještaja...

Hrabar odabir boja i mnoštvo interesantnih detalja i pali smo na prvu. Na maštovito preuređen stari namještaj mlade britanske umjetnice, koja, napomenimo i to, živi u vrlo slikovitom stanu kojeg je, naravno, sama uredila. Ilustratorica Victoria Richards iz Bristola vlasnica je webshopa Handsome Vintage na Etsyju, a nama je u kratkom razgovoru otkrila kako uz skroman budžet od starog namještaja napraviti komade koji će oživjeti svaki prostor.

Za početak nas je zanimalo gdje pronalazi rabljeni namještaj te na što osobito obraća pažnju kada ga bira.
- Namještaj pronalazim posvuda: u trgovinama rabljenim stvarima, zalagaonicama, a u posljednje se vrijeme i Facebook pokazao začudno plodnim. Prilikom kupovine izrazito pazim, da je namještaj načinjen od drva, da je čvrst, bez puno oštećenja i ogrebotina - navodi Victoria te dodaje kako preuređenje komada drvenog namještaja zna biti vrlo zahtjevna zadaća, no uz poštivanje temeljnih pravila i dobru pripremu sve postaje puno lakše.

Dodatno je naglasila kako prilikom odabira treba voditi računa da komad koji planiramo preurediti da nije premazan s puno slojeva laka. Kako nam je objasnila, te slojeve treba izbrusiti vrlo pažljivo kako se ne bi oštetila površina na koju su naneseni, što zna dodatno otežati cijeli projekt preuređenja. Nažalost, većina namještaja s polovice prošlog stoljeća upravo je takva.
Victoria preuređenje uvijek započinje brušenjem namještaja brusnim papirom. Potom slijedi čišćenje uz pomoć meke krpe, tople vode i sapuna. Kad je komad potpuno suh, umjetnica ga premaže slojem temeljne boje, a potom slijedi najzabavniji dio.

- Kad se primer osuši, prebojam namještaj bojom za drvo i metal. Biram boje na bazi vode jer mi je s njima jednostavnije raditi, lakše se čiste i nemaju intenzivan miris. Valjkom nanesem tri tanka sloja, svakog pustim barem sat da se suši, a zatim se hvatam ilustriranja.
Uzorak nanesem uz pomoć markera, osobito su mi dragi Posca Marker Paint Pens - objašnjava nam ilustratorica te dodaje kako unaprijed ima samo opću ideju o tome kako bi dizajn trebao izgledati, dok radi pušta da se stvari slobodno razvijaju...

Oduševljeni intenzivnom plavom bojom na zidu njenog dnevnog boravka upitali smo je kako se odlučila baš za tu upečatljivu nijansu.
- Uh, baš volim tu nijansu! To je Valpsarov Picasso blue, živahna i topla plava koja je dodatno istaknula sve boje u toj prostoriji. Poželjela sam obojati je u plavo nakon što sam nedavno ponovno odgledala film Seks i grad, u kojem Carrie, u jednoj od zadnjih scena, oboja svoj stan u predivnu nijansu plave - priznaje Victoria.

Upitali smo je i za grafiku iznad kamina. Je li nam se samo učinilo ili je na njoj Amy Winehouse s usisavačem?
- Riječ je o radu poznatog pop artista iz 60-ih, Geralda Lainga. Laing je napravio seriju screenprintova Amy Winehouse. Ovaj je rad baziran na jednoj paparazzi fotografiji snimljenoj ispred Amyna stana.

Jako mi je draga, a draga mi je i Amy. Nekoć sam radila u galeriji u kojoj je Laing izlagao, kupila sam ovaj rad nedugo nakon što je Amy umrla. Baš u to vrijeme umro je i Laing - prisjetila se umjetnica.
Nama njena priča djeluje nadahnjujuće. Jedva se čekamo dočepati komada starog namještaja...
