U četvrtak poslijepodne HGSS je imao intervenciju na moru. Ispostavi Brač stigla je dojava oko 16.30 sati kako je otac s dvoje male djece krenuo u 11.30 sati kajakom iz Postira prema Dugom Ratu te se nije vratio. Poziv je uputila njegova supruga.
Članovi ispostave odmah su krenuli brodom Sv.Bernard prema kanalu, a iz Splita je krenuo i privatni brod jednog člana HGSSa.

Nestale osobe locirane su u hotelu u Podstrani gdje su doveslali i iscrpljeni javili se osoblju hotela koji su ih zbrinuli. Avanturisti su na koncu prevezeni brodom HGSSa natrag u Postira gdje će otac obaviti razgovor s policijom.
Na sreću, ova avantura sretno je završila uz upozorenje svima koji koriste morske rekvizite kako se ne treba udaljavati od obale, uz praćenje vremenske prognoze. Ovaj put djeca su imala prsluke za spašavanje, no svakako je bilo nepromišljeno krenuti s njima na ovakav pothvat.
