U 77. godini života napustio nas je legendarni veslač i trener Romano Bajlo, objavili su iz Veslačkog kluba "Jadran" iz Zadra.

U plejadi trenera "Jadrana", ostavio je najdublji, neizbrisiv pečat, kao tvorac svih značajnih odličja te je postao simbol struke i poštena, teška rada. Uz pokojnog predsjednika Matu Marlaisa najznačajnija ličnost u proteklih 50 godina klupske povijesti.

Još kao veslač od 1965. godine, zajedno sa svojim bratom Josipom Bepom Bajlom postao je jedan od simbola "Jadrana". U svojim veslačkim danima, kada je klub prolazio kroz teško razdoblje, braća Bajlo su svojim rezultatima, kao prvi "Jadranovi" olimpijci, okrenula novu stranicu u povijesti čime je počelo razdoblje kontinuiranih uspjeha koje traje gotovo pola stoljeća, sve do današnjih dana.

Od samog početka njegovog trenerskog djelovanja došlo je do pokretanja masovnosti u klubu što je rezultiralo da je kroz njegovu trenersku karijeru dugu 35 godina kroz "Jadran" prošlo blizu 6000 mladih koji su svojim rezultatima ostavili dubok trag kako na domaćim tako i na međunarodnim natjecanjima.

Pod vodstvom trenera Romana Bajla, od 1975. godine veslači "Jadrana" nastupili su na pet Olimpijskih igara, 17 seniorskih svjetskih prvenstava te 25 juniorskih svjetskih prvenstava. Na svim tim natjecanjima veslači su uspjeli osvojiti medalju bilo u klupskim ili kombiniranim posadama sa drugim klubovima od čega je najznačajniji rezultat osvajanje brončane medalje Branimira Vujevića u hrvatskom osmercu na Olimpijskim igrama u Sydneyu 2000. godine.

U dva nastupa na Mediteranskim igrama osvojene su jedna zlatna, jedna srebrna i jedna brončana medalja. Na Svjetskim prvenstvima seniora do 23 godine odnosno bivšem Nations cupu u 15 nastupa osvojeno je pet zlatnih i četiri brončane medalje. Na Prvenstvima Balkana osvojeno je sedam zlatnih, pet srebrnih i četiri brončane medalje.

Pored nastupa na međunarodnim natjecanjima na Prvenstvima Hrvatske i tadašnje Jugoslavije veslači "Jadrana" u proteklih 35 godina osvojili su ukupno 174 naslova prvaka u različitim disciplinama i  kategorijama od mlađih juniora do seniora.

Od početka trenerskog rada Romana Bajla 70 klupskih veslača postali su reprezentativci Hrvatske i bivše Jugoslavije na Svjetskim prvenstvima i Olimpijskim igrama, a gotovo 400 njih osvajalo je medalju i penjalo se na jedno od postolja na Prvenstvima bivše Jugoslavije i Hrvatske.

Nakon trenerske karijere ostao je i dalje vezan uz veslanje kao član Izvršnog odbora Jadrana i Hrvatskog veslačkog saveza.

Romano Bajlo dobitnik je Nagrade Grada Zadra za životno djelo te Nagrade "Matija Ljubek" za životno djelo što dodijeljuje Hrvatski olimpijski odbor.

U 77. godini života napustio nas je legendarni veslač i trener Romano Bajlo, objavili su iz Veslačkog kluba "Jadran" iz Zadra.

U plejadi trenera "Jadrana", ostavio je najdublji, neizbrisiv pečat, kao tvorac svih značajnih odličja te je postao simbol struke i poštena, teška rada. Uz pokojnog predsjednika Matu Marlaisa najznačajnija ličnost u proteklih 50 godina klupske povijesti.

Još kao veslač od 1965. godine, zajedno sa svojim bratom Josipom Bepom Bajlom postao je jedan od simbola "Jadrana". U svojim veslačkim danima, kada je klub prolazio kroz teško razdoblje, braća Bajlo su svojim rezultatima, kao prvi "Jadranovi" olimpijci, okrenula novu stranicu u povijesti čime je počelo razdoblje kontinuiranih uspjeha koje traje gotovo pola stoljeća, sve do današnjih dana.

Od samog početka njegovog trenerskog djelovanja došlo je do pokretanja masovnosti u klubu što je rezultiralo da je kroz njegovu trenersku karijeru dugu 35 godina kroz "Jadran" prošlo blizu 6000 mladih koji su svojim rezultatima ostavili dubok trag kako na domaćim tako i na međunarodnim natjecanjima.

Pod vodstvom trenera Romana Bajla, od 1975. godine veslači "Jadrana" nastupili su na pet Olimpijskih igara, 17 seniorskih svjetskih prvenstava te 25 juniorskih svjetskih prvenstava. Na svim tim natjecanjima veslači su uspjeli osvojiti medalju bilo u klupskim ili kombiniranim posadama sa drugim klubovima od čega je najznačajniji rezultat osvajanje brončane medalje Branimira Vujevića u hrvatskom osmercu na Olimpijskim igrama u Sydneyu 2000. godine.

U dva nastupa na Mediteranskim igrama osvojene su jedna zlatna, jedna srebrna i jedna brončana medalja. Na Svjetskim prvenstvima seniora do 23 godine odnosno bivšem Nations cupu u 15 nastupa osvojeno je pet zlatnih i četiri brončane medalje. Na Prvenstvima Balkana osvojeno je sedam zlatnih, pet srebrnih i četiri brončane medalje.

Pored nastupa na međunarodnim natjecanjima na Prvenstvima Hrvatske i tadašnje Jugoslavije veslači "Jadrana" u proteklih 35 godina osvojili su ukupno 174 naslova prvaka u različitim disciplinama i  kategorijama od mlađih juniora do seniora.

Od početka trenerskog rada Romana Bajla 70 klupskih veslača postali su reprezentativci Hrvatske i bivše Jugoslavije na Svjetskim prvenstvima i Olimpijskim igrama, a gotovo 400 njih osvajalo je medalju i penjalo se na jedno od postolja na Prvenstvima bivše Jugoslavije i Hrvatske.

Nakon trenerske karijere ostao je i dalje vezan uz veslanje kao član Izvršnog odbora Jadrana i Hrvatskog veslačkog saveza.

Romano Bajlo dobitnik je Nagrade Grada Zadra za životno djelo te Nagrade "Matija Ljubek" za životno djelo što dodijeljuje Hrvatski olimpijski odbor.

U 77. godini života napustio nas je legendarni veslač i trener Romano Bajlo, objavili su iz Veslačkog kluba "Jadran" iz Zadra.

U plejadi trenera "Jadrana", ostavio je najdublji, neizbrisiv pečat, kao tvorac svih značajnih odličja te je postao simbol struke i poštena, teška rada. Uz pokojnog predsjednika Matu Marlaisa najznačajnija ličnost u proteklih 50 godina klupske povijesti.

Još kao veslač od 1965. godine, zajedno sa svojim bratom Josipom Bepom Bajlom postao je jedan od simbola "Jadrana". U svojim veslačkim danima, kada je klub prolazio kroz teško razdoblje, braća Bajlo su svojim rezultatima, kao prvi "Jadranovi" olimpijci, okrenula novu stranicu u povijesti čime je počelo razdoblje kontinuiranih uspjeha koje traje gotovo pola stoljeća, sve do današnjih dana.

Od samog početka njegovog trenerskog djelovanja došlo je do pokretanja masovnosti u klubu što je rezultiralo da je kroz njegovu trenersku karijeru dugu 35 godina kroz "Jadran" prošlo blizu 6000 mladih koji su svojim rezultatima ostavili dubok trag kako na domaćim tako i na međunarodnim natjecanjima.

Pod vodstvom trenera Romana Bajla, od 1975. godine veslači "Jadrana" nastupili su na pet Olimpijskih igara, 17 seniorskih svjetskih prvenstava te 25 juniorskih svjetskih prvenstava. Na svim tim natjecanjima veslači su uspjeli osvojiti medalju bilo u klupskim ili kombiniranim posadama sa drugim klubovima od čega je najznačajniji rezultat osvajanje brončane medalje Branimira Vujevića u hrvatskom osmercu na Olimpijskim igrama u Sydneyu 2000. godine.
