Mlada Trogiranka Iva Rožić koju je Hrvatski vaterpolski savez (HVS) proglasio najboljom igračicom donijela je prekrasnu božićnu čestitku svome Trogiru, ali i susjednom Okrugu gdje je ta 16-godišnjakinja prije pet godina skočila u bazen i zaplivala u svoju sportsku čaroliju.
HVS-ova Stručna komisija na čelu s Milivojem Bebićem i treneri odlučili su da Iva zaslužuje to priznanje, jer nastupa za seniorsku i juniorsku reprezentaciju, a na Europskom juniorskom prvenstvu u Šibeniku bila je treća strijelkinja, dok je izabrana vrsta Lijepe naše zauzela sedmo mjesto.
Na prvenstvu Hrvatske za mlađe juniorke proglašena je najboljom igračicom, dok je njezina ekipa "Pošk 1937" iz Splita osvojila titulu državnih prvakinja. Iva Rožić danas je članica splitskog kluba, a protekle dvije sezone bila je dio seniorskog sastava zagrebačke "Mladosti" u sklopu Dunav lige.
No, svakako valja naglasiti kako je ona s vaterpolom počela "koketirati" s 11 godina nakon što se ranije okušala kao mažoretkinja i rukometašica. Bila je ona i tamo zapažena, ali bazen joj je cijelo to vrijeme bio veliki izazov.
Za sve je kriva jedna utakmica na kojoj je s mladim igračima Vaterpolskog kluba "Okruk" igrala protiv djevojaka iz splitske "Bure". I upravo na toj utakmici, kako kaže Iva, dogodio se "Kairos", sretni trenutak kada ju je zapazio Nikša Savin, "Poškov" trener, i pozvao je da pristupi njihovu klubu.
– Tko okusi taj adrenalin u plavetnilu bazena, teško ga se odriče. Jednostavno, svaki trening, svako natjecanje doživljavam posebnim osjećajem. Dakako, za biti uspješan potrebna je ljubav, volja, te veliki rad i upornost – smiješi se tinejdžerica.
Pitali smo Ivu Rožić kako je to uskladiti sport i obveze u Obrtničkoj školi u Splitu gdje se obrazuje za frizerku.
– Dobrom organizacijom može se sve, s lakoćom. Ostaje vremena i za druženje, te vožnju biciklom i rolanje – ističe vaterpolistica.
Svaki uspjeh prati nečija podrška, a u Ivinom slučaju to su njezini roditelji koji je svakodnevno odvoze u školu i na treninge u Split te su, kako kaže tata Frane, trener Vaterpolskog kluba "Okruk", sve svoje obveze uskladili s njezinima.
Iako smo uvjereni da mu je srce od radosti zbog kćerine nagrade veliko kao kuća, tvrdi da su u obitelji ipak njome ostali pomalo zatečeni. Naime, znali su da posjeduje kvalitete dobre igračice i vrsne strijelkinje.
No, zbunilo ih je, dodaje Rožić, to što je premlada, a u konkurenciji za nagradu su bile puno starije i iskusnije djevojke. Doznajemo kako su reakcije na nagradu bile vrlo pozitivne kod njezinih trenera u klubu i reprezentaciji, trenerice i izbornice reprezentacije Mie Šimunić, te prijatelja i rodbine.

Mlada Trogiranka Iva Rožić koju je Hrvatski vaterpolski savez (HVS) proglasio najboljom igračicom donijela je prekrasnu božićnu čestitku svome Trogiru, ali i susjednom Okrugu gdje je ta 16-godišnjakinja prije pet godina skočila u bazen i zaplivala u svoju sportsku čaroliju.
HVS-ova Stručna komisija na čelu s Milivojem Bebićem i treneri odlučili su da Iva zaslužuje to priznanje, jer nastupa za seniorsku i juniorsku reprezentaciju, a na Europskom juniorskom prvenstvu u Šibeniku bila je treća strijelkinja, dok je izabrana vrsta Lijepe naše zauzela sedmo mjesto.
Na prvenstvu Hrvatske za mlađe juniorke proglašena je najboljom igračicom, dok je njezina ekipa "Pošk 1937" iz Splita osvojila titulu državnih prvakinja. Iva Rožić danas je članica splitskog kluba, a protekle dvije sezone bila je dio seniorskog sastava zagrebačke "Mladosti" u sklopu Dunav lige.
No, svakako valja naglasiti kako je ona s vaterpolom počela "koketirati" s 11 godina nakon što se ranije okušala kao mažoretkinja i rukometašica. Bila je ona i tamo zapažena, ali bazen joj je cijelo to vrijeme bio veliki izazov.
Za sve je kriva jedna utakmica na kojoj je s mladim igračima Vaterpolskog kluba "Okruk" igrala protiv djevojaka iz splitske "Bure". I upravo na toj utakmici, kako kaže Iva, dogodio se "Kairos", sretni trenutak kada ju je zapazio Nikša Savin, "Poškov" trener, i pozvao je da pristupi njihovu klubu.
– Tko okusi taj adrenalin u plavetnilu bazena, teško ga se odriče. Jednostavno, svaki trening, svako natjecanje doživljavam posebnim osjećajem. Dakako, za biti uspješan potrebna je ljubav, volja, te veliki rad i upornost – smiješi se tinejdžerica.
Pitali smo Ivu Rožić kako je to uskladiti sport i obveze u Obrtničkoj školi u Splitu gdje se obrazuje za frizerku.
– Dobrom organizacijom može se sve, s lakoćom. Ostaje vremena i za druženje, te vožnju biciklom i rolanje – ističe vaterpolistica.
Svaki uspjeh prati nečija podrška, a u Ivinom slučaju to su njezini roditelji koji je svakodnevno odvoze u školu i na treninge u Split te su, kako kaže tata Frane, trener Vaterpolskog kluba "Okruk", sve svoje obveze uskladili s njezinima.
Iako smo uvjereni da mu je srce od radosti zbog kćerine nagrade veliko kao kuća, tvrdi da su u obitelji ipak njome ostali pomalo zatečeni. Naime, znali su da posjeduje kvalitete dobre igračice i vrsne strijelkinje.
No, zbunilo ih je, dodaje Rožić, to što je premlada, a u konkurenciji za nagradu su bile puno starije i iskusnije djevojke. Doznajemo kako su reakcije na nagradu bile vrlo pozitivne kod njezinih trenera u klubu i reprezentaciji, trenerice i izbornice reprezentacije Mie Šimunić, te prijatelja i rodbine.
