Otok Hvar je prema popisu iz 1900. godine imao čak 18.091 stanovnika, a lani je zabilježeno tek 10.739 ljudi koji (službeno) stalno obitavaju na škoju.

U odnosu na popis iz 2011. škoj ima 338 stanovnika manje, pri čemu Općina Sućuraj broji tek 429 stanovnika ili sedam posto manje.

Na činjenicu da se na istoku otoka, kojeg se znalo nazivati hvarskom Bukovicom ili Metohijom, već desetljećima događa demografska katastrofa, stalno ukazuje sućurajski župnik, fra Stipo Marčinković, govoreći da su na tom području krštenja i vjenčanja izuzetno rijetka, a sprovodi vrlo učestali. Bivši hvarsko-bračko-viški biskup, mons. Slobodan Štambuk, još je ranije otoke svoje biskupije nazivao "staračkim domovima na otvorenom".

Istodobno se političari s državne, regionalne i lokalne razine hvale da puno ulažu u otočnu infrastrukturu ne bi li se potaknulo gospodarski razvitak i koliko-toliko oporavila demografska slika. Međutim, stanje na terenu ih demantira na svakom koraku, jer se Poljica, Zastražišće, Gdinj, Bogomolje i Selca s pripadajućim uvalama već desetljećima nepotrebno (i nepravedno) zapostavljaju, mjesta ni danas nemaju vodovod, odgovarajuću elektroopskrbu i ceste, benzinsku crpku, adekvatnu povezanost s kopnom...

Upravo je Mirjana Radovanović, umirovljenica iz Gdinja, ovih dana pokrenula lavinu komentara kada je obznanila svoj dopis koji je uputila na adrese sve četvorice lokalnih čelnika na otoku, Ministarstvu prometa i Županiji splitsko-dalmatinskoj, vezano uz ukidanje dviju autobusnih linija koje su dvaput tjedno povezivale Sućuraj s Jelsom, Starim Gradom i Hvarom.

- Ta veza nam doslovno život znači, a oni su je ukinuli jednim potezom. Nama je nužna zbog niza razloga, od onih osnovnih kao što su liječnik, zubar, ljekarna, banka, obavljanje administrativnih poslova, poljoprivredna apoteka, nabavka opreme za kuću, ribarnica, odlazak frizeru, te zbog osnovnih kućanskih potrepština koje se mogu povoljnije nabaviti u većim trgovačkim lancima. Također je važna psihološka dobrobit mogućnosti izlaska iz monotone svakodnevice istočnih otočnih sela – kaže naša sugovornica.

Autobuse su koristili stalni stanovnici spomenutih sela, mahom umirovljenici koji nemaju vlastiti prijevoz, ljudi koji rade u većim mjestima, a vikendima posjećuju svoj rodni kraj, te strani i domaći turisti bez vlastitog prijevoza. Tijekom nastavne godine teoretski je postojala mogućnost korištenja školskog autobusa i za ostale građane, ali vozači im nisu dopuštali ulazak radi negodovanja dijela roditelja učenika zbog moguće zaraze Covidom-19.

---- U turističkoj sezoni iz Splita za Hvar, Stari Grad i Jelsu plovi više od 25 brodskih linija, a za Sućuraj oko 10 linija dnevno. Autobusna linija koja povezuje dva kraja otoka - ne postoji. Povezivanjem istočnog i zapadnog razvijenog dijela otoka ostvario bi se humani i dostojanstveni život stanovnika svih dobnih skupina manjih mjesta na istoku škoja, a otvorila bi se mogućnost da turisti koji to žele, istraže i ovaj zabačeni i zapostavljeni dio otoka, a ne samo razvikani Hvar, Stari Grad i Jelsu – kaže Radovanović.

Gdinjanku podržavaju Adi Ćurin, Nada Ćurin Harašić, Ksenija Babaja, Alen Rako, Luči Lončar, Alma Pupačić, Lucija Srhoj Matijašević, Nera Karolina Barbarić, Mario Viola, Katija Bušelić, Đenana Omeragić, Olga Marević, Katarina Weeden i Božidar Vrdoljak.

Darija Toplak predlaže da se predstavnike vlasti kada uskoro budu rezali vrpcu na novom ljetnom vezu u Sućurju dočeka s transparentima i na ovu temu s njima ozbiljno porazgovara - s predsjednikom Vlade Andrejom Plenkovićem (HDZ), ministrom prometa Olegom Butkovićem (HDZ) te županom Blaženkom Bobanom (HDZ).

- Lijepo je kad nas toliko mnoštvo podržava, pa smo ohrabreni time pokrenuli potpisivanje peticije kojom tražimo uvođenje dviju autobusnih linija na relaciji Sućuraj - Hvar - Sućuraj svakog dana u tjednu tijekom sezone i nekoliko puta tjedno izvan sezone. Pruga bi trebala povezivati Sućuraj, Selca, Bogomolje, Gdinj, Zastražišće, Poljica, Jelsu, Vrbosku, Stari Grad, trajektnu luku i Hvar.

U ime solidarnosti s ostalim i donekle zapostavljenim mjestima tražimo linije koje povezuju mjesta Dol svete Marije, Dol svete Ane, Vrbanj, Svirče, Pitve, Vrisnik i mjesta na južnoj strani otoka, a za sada nam vrlo dobro ide. Nadamo se stoga da će i mjerodavni naposljetku pogledati na sva sela, ne samo na gradska i općinska središta u kojima stoluju – zaključila je naša sugovornica.

Otok Hvar je prema popisu iz 1900. godine imao čak 18.091 stanovnika, a lani je zabilježeno tek 10.739 ljudi koji (službeno) stalno obitavaju na škoju.

U odnosu na popis iz 2011. škoj ima 338 stanovnika manje, pri čemu Općina Sućuraj broji tek 429 stanovnika ili sedam posto manje.

Na činjenicu da se na istoku otoka, kojeg se znalo nazivati hvarskom Bukovicom ili Metohijom, već desetljećima događa demografska katastrofa, stalno ukazuje sućurajski župnik, fra Stipo Marčinković, govoreći da su na tom području krštenja i vjenčanja izuzetno rijetka, a sprovodi vrlo učestali. Bivši hvarsko-bračko-viški biskup, mons. Slobodan Štambuk, još je ranije otoke svoje biskupije nazivao "staračkim domovima na otvorenom".

Istodobno se političari s državne, regionalne i lokalne razine hvale da puno ulažu u otočnu infrastrukturu ne bi li se potaknulo gospodarski razvitak i koliko-toliko oporavila demografska slika. Međutim, stanje na terenu ih demantira na svakom koraku, jer se Poljica, Zastražišće, Gdinj, Bogomolje i Selca s pripadajućim uvalama već desetljećima nepotrebno (i nepravedno) zapostavljaju, mjesta ni danas nemaju vodovod, odgovarajuću elektroopskrbu i ceste, benzinsku crpku, adekvatnu povezanost s kopnom...

Upravo je Mirjana Radovanović, umirovljenica iz Gdinja, ovih dana pokrenula lavinu komentara kada je obznanila svoj dopis koji je uputila na adrese sve četvorice lokalnih čelnika na otoku, Ministarstvu prometa i Županiji splitsko-dalmatinskoj, vezano uz ukidanje dviju autobusnih linija koje su dvaput tjedno povezivale Sućuraj s Jelsom, Starim Gradom i Hvarom.

- Ta veza nam doslovno život znači, a oni su je ukinuli jednim potezom. Nama je nužna zbog niza razloga, od onih osnovnih kao što su liječnik, zubar, ljekarna, banka, obavljanje administrativnih poslova, poljoprivredna apoteka, nabavka opreme za kuću, ribarnica, odlazak frizeru, te zbog osnovnih kućanskih potrepština koje se mogu povoljnije nabaviti u većim trgovačkim lancima. Također je važna psihološka dobrobit mogućnosti izlaska iz monotone svakodnevice istočnih otočnih sela – kaže naša sugovornica.

Autobuse su koristili stalni stanovnici spomenutih sela, mahom umirovljenici koji nemaju vlastiti prijevoz, ljudi koji rade u većim mjestima, a vikendima posjećuju svoj rodni kraj, te strani i domaći turisti bez vlastitog prijevoza. Tijekom nastavne godine teoretski je postojala mogućnost korištenja školskog autobusa i za ostale građane, ali vozači im nisu dopuštali ulazak radi negodovanja dijela roditelja učenika zbog moguće zaraze Covidom-19.

---- U turističkoj sezoni iz Splita za Hvar, Stari Grad i Jelsu plovi više od 25 brodskih linija, a za Sućuraj oko 10 linija dnevno. Autobusna linija koja povezuje dva kraja otoka - ne postoji. Povezivanjem istočnog i zapadnog razvijenog dijela otoka ostvario bi se humani i dostojanstveni život stanovnika svih dobnih skupina manjih mjesta na istoku škoja, a otvorila bi se mogućnost da turisti koji to žele, istraže i ovaj zabačeni i zapostavljeni dio otoka, a ne samo razvikani Hvar, Stari Grad i Jelsu – kaže Radovanović.

Gdinjanku podržavaju Adi Ćurin, Nada Ćurin Harašić, Ksenija Babaja, Alen Rako, Luči Lončar, Alma Pupačić, Lucija Srhoj Matijašević, Nera Karolina Barbarić, Mario Viola, Katija Bušelić, Đenana Omeragić, Olga Marević, Katarina Weeden i Božidar Vrdoljak.

Darija Toplak predlaže da se predstavnike vlasti kada uskoro budu rezali vrpcu na novom ljetnom vezu u Sućurju dočeka s transparentima i na ovu temu s njima ozbiljno porazgovara - s predsjednikom Vlade Andrejom Plenkovićem (HDZ), ministrom prometa Olegom Butkovićem (HDZ) te županom Blaženkom Bobanom (HDZ).

- Lijepo je kad nas toliko mnoštvo podržava, pa smo ohrabreni time pokrenuli potpisivanje peticije kojom tražimo uvođenje dviju autobusnih linija na relaciji Sućuraj - Hvar - Sućuraj svakog dana u tjednu tijekom sezone i nekoliko puta tjedno izvan sezone. Pruga bi trebala povezivati Sućuraj, Selca, Bogomolje, Gdinj, Zastražišće, Poljica, Jelsu, Vrbosku, Stari Grad, trajektnu luku i Hvar.

U ime solidarnosti s ostalim i donekle zapostavljenim mjestima tražimo linije koje povezuju mjesta Dol svete Marije, Dol svete Ane, Vrbanj, Svirče, Pitve, Vrisnik i mjesta na južnoj strani otoka, a za sada nam vrlo dobro ide. Nadamo se stoga da će i mjerodavni naposljetku pogledati na sva sela, ne samo na gradska i općinska središta u kojima stoluju – zaključila je naša sugovornica.
