Kulturološki i politički utjecaj prvog "Black Panthera" bio je neupitan. Crna zajednica je dobila afričkog "black power" superjunaka i zaštitnika koji ju je pozdravljao prekriženih ruku uz poklič "Wakanda zauvijek" na vrhuncu Trumpove vladavine i njome osokoljenih rasističkih ispada diljem SAD-a.

To se reflektiralo na golemu popularnost filma, uzgred sastavnog dijela Marvelove hitoidne franšizne mašinerije. "Black Panther" je zaradio 700 milijuna dolara u američkim kinima, što ga pozicionira na treće mjesto najgledanijih superherojskih stripovskih filmova svih vremena ("Osvetnici: Završnica", "Spider-Man: Put bez povratka"), odnosno šesto općenito (uz navedene ispred njega se nalaze samo "Ratovi zvijezda: Sila se budi", "Avatar" i "Top Gun: Maverick").

U svjetskim kinima zarada "Black Panthera" je iznosila 1,3 milijarde dolara, a bio je i nominiran za Oscara u kategoriji najboljeg filma kao prvi superherojski blockbuster u povijesti s tom nominacijom, jednom od sedam koliko ih je ukupno zabilježio.

Konačno, Marvelov blockbuster je pretvorio u zvijezdu glavnoga glumca, talentiranog Chadwicka Bosemana, koji je prvi put predstavljen u ulozi Black Panthera/T‘Challe, kralja naprednog afričkog kraljevstva Wakande, u blockbusteru "Kapetan Amerika: Građanski rat" i u njoj se nastavio pojavljivati u "Osvetnicima", ali i gradio karijeru mimo superjunačenja ("21 most", "Da 5 Bloods", "Ma Rainey: Majka bluesa").

Nastavak "Black Panthera" bio je neminovan, no taman kad je film ušao u pretprodukciju, zadesila ga je Bosemanova tragična smrt. Kako nastaviti dalje bez ključnoga glumca i, uopće, nakon takvog gubitka? Težina svijeta je bila na leđima Ryana Cooglera ("Creed"), ali režiser prvog "Black Panthera" je ustrajao u tome da dovrši započeto u čast Bosemanu i snimi "tribute". Podnaslovljen "Wakanda zauvijek" ("Wakanda Forever"), "Black Panther 2" je hvalevrijedno zamišljen kao emotivna, melankolična elegija (i eulogija) za superheroja i njegova utjelovitelja Bosemana.

Smrt T‘Challe od neznane bolesti i njegov sprovod otvaraju "Black Panther 2". T‘Challina sestra Shuri (Letitia Wright) i majka Ramonda (odlična Angela Bassett, vrijedna Oscar nominacije za sporednu ulogu) predvode procesiju za neprežaljena brata i sina, slijedeći crni mrtvački sanduk sa srebrnim amblemom Black Panthera, dok wakandski plesači odaju počast palom kralju.

Kad se sanduk pokojnika podigne u nebo, Coogler radi "rez" i uslijedi vrlo dirljiva montaža kadrova Black Panthera umotana u Marvelov logo kojeg ovaj put krasi samo on, bez Kapetana Amerike, Iron Mana, Thora i ostale ekipe.Boseman i T‘Challa su dobili minutu šutnje. Početak filma je pogođeno tih i sućutan.

Bol je opipljiva i gubitak glumca i lika se osjeća budući da ih se oplakuje i za njima tuguje s obje strane ekrana, na metafilmski tankoj granici fikcije i stvarnosti. Likovi tuguju za T‘Challom u filmu, glumci za kolegom u zbilji, gledatelji za jednim i drugim na ekranu i izvan njega.

Početak obećava najemotivniji superherojski spektakl, međutim emocije se ubrzo utapaju u prekrcanoj naraciji i akciji, tj. klasičnoj marvelovskoj franšizaciji predstavljanja nasljednika Black Panthera (voljeli bismo da je to bio netko drugi), te isprepletanja starih i novih likova prethodnih i nadolazećih filmskih i serijskih projekata (od CIA-ovca Everetta Rossa i SHIELD-ove Valentine Allegre de Fontaine, do Riri Williams u Iron Manovu odijelu kao nositeljice buduće serije "Ironheart").

Grčevita potraga Amerike i ostatka svijeta za moćnim vibranijem, koji napaja Wakandu, a može biti iskorišten kao oružje za masovno uništenje, dovest će kraljevstvo pokojnog T‘Challe u sukob s podvodnim carstvom Talokanom kad ljudi s površine iz tih pobuda uzurpiraju dno oceana, iako i jedni i drugi imaju zajedničkog povijesnog neprijatelja u vidu bijelih kolonizatora.

Talokan predvodi Namor (Tenoch Huerta), potomak majanskog naroda kojeg su pokorili konkvistadori, nadljudski snažan mutant čovjeka i vodenjaka koji je rođen u moru, ima uši okrenute prema nebu, može letjeti pomoću krilaca na gležnjevima i izvesti sonični napad.

Središnji dio filma posvećen je plavom narodu u koji je utkana krvava povijest konkvistadora, što je načelno intrigantno, ali zbog preduge minutaže odvlači pozornost od Wakanđana i njihova tugovanja, Shuri, Ramonde, te slabo iskorištenih likova kao što su Nakia (oskarovka Lupita Nyong‘o je mogla/trebala biti "glavnija" nego jest), Okoye (Danai Gurira) i M‘Bakua (Winston Duke).

Minutaža bi se lakše podnijela da je vizija kraljevstva na dnu oceana ekvivalent vizualnoj raskoši "Aquamana" i "Avatara 2", ali neke maštovite ideje (kitovi kao podmornice i bojni brodovi) pate od premračne fotografije i zamućenih podvodnih kadrova, daleko od prozračnosti spomenutih blockbustera.

Fotografija uglavnom ostaje takva i kad u drugoj polovici dođe do rata Talokana s površinskom Wakandom, pa je gledatelju uskraćen potpuni vizualni užitak u ionako zbrzanim, nerijetko rutinskim režiranim akcijskim scenama, s tek povremeno nadahnutim korištenjima "slow motiona" u vodenim eksplozijama.

Kad akcija mine, "Wakanda zauvijek" se prekasno vraća emocijama, uprizorujući završno procesuiranje boli od gubitka i još jednu minutu šutnje za T‘Challu/Bosemana, ali kraj ne uspijeva izazvati jednak učinak kao početak zbog svega u međuvremenu i naglog prelaska na posljednju fazu tugovanja. Suza za superjunaka je ostala u oku.

Kulturološki i politički utjecaj prvog "Black Panthera" bio je neupitan. Crna zajednica je dobila afričkog "black power" superjunaka i zaštitnika koji ju je pozdravljao prekriženih ruku uz poklič "Wakanda zauvijek" na vrhuncu Trumpove vladavine i njome osokoljenih rasističkih ispada diljem SAD-a.

To se reflektiralo na golemu popularnost filma, uzgred sastavnog dijela Marvelove hitoidne franšizne mašinerije. "Black Panther" je zaradio 700 milijuna dolara u američkim kinima, što ga pozicionira na treće mjesto najgledanijih superherojskih stripovskih filmova svih vremena ("Osvetnici: Završnica", "Spider-Man: Put bez povratka"), odnosno šesto općenito (uz navedene ispred njega se nalaze samo "Ratovi zvijezda: Sila se budi", "Avatar" i "Top Gun: Maverick").

U svjetskim kinima zarada "Black Panthera" je iznosila 1,3 milijarde dolara, a bio je i nominiran za Oscara u kategoriji najboljeg filma kao prvi superherojski blockbuster u povijesti s tom nominacijom, jednom od sedam koliko ih je ukupno zabilježio.

Konačno, Marvelov blockbuster je pretvorio u zvijezdu glavnoga glumca, talentiranog Chadwicka Bosemana, koji je prvi put predstavljen u ulozi Black Panthera/T‘Challe, kralja naprednog afričkog kraljevstva Wakande, u blockbusteru "Kapetan Amerika: Građanski rat" i u njoj se nastavio pojavljivati u "Osvetnicima", ali i gradio karijeru mimo superjunačenja ("21 most", "Da 5 Bloods", "Ma Rainey: Majka bluesa").

Nastavak "Black Panthera" bio je neminovan, no taman kad je film ušao u pretprodukciju, zadesila ga je Bosemanova tragična smrt. Kako nastaviti dalje bez ključnoga glumca i, uopće, nakon takvog gubitka? Težina svijeta je bila na leđima Ryana Cooglera ("Creed"), ali režiser prvog "Black Panthera" je ustrajao u tome da dovrši započeto u čast Bosemanu i snimi "tribute". Podnaslovljen "Wakanda zauvijek" ("Wakanda Forever"), "Black Panther 2" je hvalevrijedno zamišljen kao emotivna, melankolična elegija (i eulogija) za superheroja i njegova utjelovitelja Bosemana.

Smrt T‘Challe od neznane bolesti i njegov sprovod otvaraju "Black Panther 2". T‘Challina sestra Shuri (Letitia Wright) i majka Ramonda (odlična Angela Bassett, vrijedna Oscar nominacije za sporednu ulogu) predvode procesiju za neprežaljena brata i sina, slijedeći crni mrtvački sanduk sa srebrnim amblemom Black Panthera, dok wakandski plesači odaju počast palom kralju.

Kad se sanduk pokojnika podigne u nebo, Coogler radi "rez" i uslijedi vrlo dirljiva montaža kadrova Black Panthera umotana u Marvelov logo kojeg ovaj put krasi samo on, bez Kapetana Amerike, Iron Mana, Thora i ostale ekipe.Boseman i T‘Challa su dobili minutu šutnje. Početak filma je pogođeno tih i sućutan.

Bol je opipljiva i gubitak glumca i lika se osjeća budući da ih se oplakuje i za njima tuguje s obje strane ekrana, na metafilmski tankoj granici fikcije i stvarnosti. Likovi tuguju za T‘Challom u filmu, glumci za kolegom u zbilji, gledatelji za jednim i drugim na ekranu i izvan njega.

Početak obećava najemotivniji superherojski spektakl, međutim emocije se ubrzo utapaju u prekrcanoj naraciji i akciji, tj. klasičnoj marvelovskoj franšizaciji predstavljanja nasljednika Black Panthera (voljeli bismo da je to bio netko drugi), te isprepletanja starih i novih likova prethodnih i nadolazećih filmskih i serijskih projekata (od CIA-ovca Everetta Rossa i SHIELD-ove Valentine Allegre de Fontaine, do Riri Williams u Iron Manovu odijelu kao nositeljice buduće serije "Ironheart").

Grčevita potraga Amerike i ostatka svijeta za moćnim vibranijem, koji napaja Wakandu, a može biti iskorišten kao oružje za masovno uništenje, dovest će kraljevstvo pokojnog T‘Challe u sukob s podvodnim carstvom Talokanom kad ljudi s površine iz tih pobuda uzurpiraju dno oceana, iako i jedni i drugi imaju zajedničkog povijesnog neprijatelja u vidu bijelih kolonizatora.

Talokan predvodi Namor (Tenoch Huerta), potomak majanskog naroda kojeg su pokorili konkvistadori, nadljudski snažan mutant čovjeka i vodenjaka koji je rođen u moru, ima uši okrenute prema nebu, može letjeti pomoću krilaca na gležnjevima i izvesti sonični napad.

Središnji dio filma posvećen je plavom narodu u koji je utkana krvava povijest konkvistadora, što je načelno intrigantno, ali zbog preduge minutaže odvlači pozornost od Wakanđana i njihova tugovanja, Shuri, Ramonde, te slabo iskorištenih likova kao što su Nakia (oskarovka Lupita Nyong‘o je mogla/trebala biti "glavnija" nego jest), Okoye (Danai Gurira) i M‘Bakua (Winston Duke).

Minutaža bi se lakše podnijela da je vizija kraljevstva na dnu oceana ekvivalent vizualnoj raskoši "Aquamana" i "Avatara 2", ali neke maštovite ideje (kitovi kao podmornice i bojni brodovi) pate od premračne fotografije i zamućenih podvodnih kadrova, daleko od prozračnosti spomenutih blockbustera.

Fotografija uglavnom ostaje takva i kad u drugoj polovici dođe do rata Talokana s površinskom Wakandom, pa je gledatelju uskraćen potpuni vizualni užitak u ionako zbrzanim, nerijetko rutinskim režiranim akcijskim scenama, s tek povremeno nadahnutim korištenjima "slow motiona" u vodenim eksplozijama.

Kad akcija mine, "Wakanda zauvijek" se prekasno vraća emocijama, uprizorujući završno procesuiranje boli od gubitka i još jednu minutu šutnje za T‘Challu/Bosemana, ali kraj ne uspijeva izazvati jednak učinak kao početak zbog svega u međuvremenu i naglog prelaska na posljednju fazu tugovanja. Suza za superjunaka je ostala u oku.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda zauvijek‘: Elegija za superheroja

Kulturološki i politički utjecaj prvog "Black Panthera" bio je neupitan. Crna zajednica je dobila afričkog "black power" superjunaka i zaštitnika koji ju je pozdravljao prekriženih ruku uz poklič "Wakanda zauvijek" na vrhuncu Trumpove vladavine i njome osokoljenih rasističkih ispada diljem SAD-a.

To se reflektiralo na golemu popularnost filma, uzgred sastavnog dijela Marvelove hitoidne franšizne mašinerije. "Black Panther" je zaradio 700 milijuna dolara u američkim kinima, što ga pozicionira na treće mjesto najgledanijih superherojskih stripovskih filmova svih vremena ("Osvetnici: Završnica", "Spider-Man: Put bez povratka"), odnosno šesto općenito (uz navedene ispred njega se nalaze samo "Ratovi zvijezda: Sila se budi", "Avatar" i "Top Gun: Maverick").
