Prilagođavao se vremenu sadomazohistički monstrum Pinhead, predvodnik košmarnih međudimenzionalnih bića cenobita, kako bi (o)držao korak s ostalom horor konkurencijom iz panteona žanrovskih ikona, Jasonom Voorheesom, Freddyjem Kruegerom, Michaelom Myersom, Chuckyjem...

Na taj način je sve ove godine i preživio antagonist serijala “Hellraiser”, započetog 1987. redateljskim prvijencom Clivea Barkera, inspiriranim piščevom novelom “The Hellbound Heart”, nadahnutom, pak, njegovim radom u sado-mazo klubovima.

Primjerice, drugi dio “Gospodara pakla” (“Hellbound”, 1988.) uveo je tinejdžere u priču, treći iz 1992. (“Hellraiser 3: Hell On Earth”) furao se na “tekuće” digitalne efekte “Terminatora 2”, a četvrti, snimljen 1996. i podnaslovljen “Bloodline”, poslao je Pinheada u svemir, čak i prije nego su tamo odletjeli Jason i Leprechaun.

Dvadesetak godina i sedam filmova kasnije (“Inferno”, “Hellseeker”, “Deadier”, “Hellworld”, “Revelations”, “Judgement”), Pinhead se opet prilagodio. U jedanaestom dijelu serijala, naslovljenom “Hellraiser”, Gospodar pakla je postao – gospodarica. Pinheada sada utjelovljuje Jamie Clayton nakon što ga je dugi niz godina glumio Doug Bradley.

Ovogodišnji “Hellraiser” slijedi novi trend resetiranja starih serijala u kojem protagonisti (ili sada antagonisti) mijenjaju spol, od “Istjerivač(ic)a duhova”, preko “Oceanovih 8” i “Prevarantica”, do prednastavka “Predatora” zvanog “Prey”. Upravo s “Prey” novi “Hellraiser” ima najviše poveznica: oba su doživjela premijeru na streaming servisu Hulu u vlasništvu Disneyja.

To je prilična subverzija za tako krvave filmove, posebice ovaj s nizom tjelesnih mutilacija u režiji cenobita. Dakle, ne bojte se, Pinhead nije postao Disneyjeva princeza, a to što je film snimljen za Hulu kumovalo je da ne izgleda kao niskobudžetno djelce iz podzemne hororske tamnice i atraktivniji je od prosječnog streaming horora.

Bez “reboota” serijala “Gospodari pakla” se realno moglo preživjeti, ali svejedno može poslužiti za gledanje pred/za Noć vještica i bolji je od najveće većine nastavaka koje, od zvučnijih žanrovskih imena, potpisuju Anthony Hickox (treći dio) i Scott Derrickson na početku karijere (peti). Iza kamere je ovaj put stao David Bruckner (odlična “Kuća noćnih mora”), još jednom zainteresiran da kroz horor provuče motiv traume.

“Hellraiser” u tom smislu nije dobar kao “The Night House” ili aktualni kinohoror “Smile”, no Bruckner je pogodio što je za protagonisticu postavio traumatiziranu bivšu ovisnicu Riley (Odessa A’zion) i tako pojedina ukazanja Pinheada i ostalih cenobita, Chatterera i ekipe, mogu djelovati kao produkt njezinih halucinacija nakon što dođe u doticaj s kutijom nalik slagalici koja skriva oštrice željne krvi i, složena, priziva cenobite.

Kutija je “jedina od svoje vrste”, “zaboravljena sve dosad”, kako je rekao njezin prijašnji vlasnik, mr. Voight (Goran Višnjić), žrtvujući nekog nesretnika njezinim oštricama. Pojava Višnjića u krajnje netipičnom izdanju bit će zanimljiva publici s ovih prostora, uz to da se film snimao u Beogradu i da je na specijalnim efektima radio regionalni majstor za takve stvari Miroslav Lakobrija. Sasvim dovoljno da “Hellraisera” stavite na (potencijalnu) “watch” listu za Halloween.

U sporednoj ulozi Serene, Voightove asistentice, gledamo palestinsku glumicu Hiam Abbass, poznatu iz filma "U mojim godinama skrivam da pušim", koja se zna pojavljivati i u hollywoodskim projektima poput "Blade Runnera 2049".

Prilagođavao se vremenu sadomazohistički monstrum Pinhead, predvodnik košmarnih međudimenzionalnih bića cenobita, kako bi (o)držao korak s ostalom horor konkurencijom iz panteona žanrovskih ikona, Jasonom Voorheesom, Freddyjem Kruegerom, Michaelom Myersom, Chuckyjem...

Na taj način je sve ove godine i preživio antagonist serijala “Hellraiser”, započetog 1987. redateljskim prvijencom Clivea Barkera, inspiriranim piščevom novelom “The Hellbound Heart”, nadahnutom, pak, njegovim radom u sado-mazo klubovima.

Primjerice, drugi dio “Gospodara pakla” (“Hellbound”, 1988.) uveo je tinejdžere u priču, treći iz 1992. (“Hellraiser 3: Hell On Earth”) furao se na “tekuće” digitalne efekte “Terminatora 2”, a četvrti, snimljen 1996. i podnaslovljen “Bloodline”, poslao je Pinheada u svemir, čak i prije nego su tamo odletjeli Jason i Leprechaun.

Dvadesetak godina i sedam filmova kasnije (“Inferno”, “Hellseeker”, “Deadier”, “Hellworld”, “Revelations”, “Judgement”), Pinhead se opet prilagodio. U jedanaestom dijelu serijala, naslovljenom “Hellraiser”, Gospodar pakla je postao – gospodarica. Pinheada sada utjelovljuje Jamie Clayton nakon što ga je dugi niz godina glumio Doug Bradley.

Ovogodišnji “Hellraiser” slijedi novi trend resetiranja starih serijala u kojem protagonisti (ili sada antagonisti) mijenjaju spol, od “Istjerivač(ic)a duhova”, preko “Oceanovih 8” i “Prevarantica”, do prednastavka “Predatora” zvanog “Prey”. Upravo s “Prey” novi “Hellraiser” ima najviše poveznica: oba su doživjela premijeru na streaming servisu Hulu u vlasništvu Disneyja.

To je prilična subverzija za tako krvave filmove, posebice ovaj s nizom tjelesnih mutilacija u režiji cenobita. Dakle, ne bojte se, Pinhead nije postao Disneyjeva princeza, a to što je film snimljen za Hulu kumovalo je da ne izgleda kao niskobudžetno djelce iz podzemne hororske tamnice i atraktivniji je od prosječnog streaming horora.

Bez “reboota” serijala “Gospodari pakla” se realno moglo preživjeti, ali svejedno može poslužiti za gledanje pred/za Noć vještica i bolji je od najveće većine nastavaka koje, od zvučnijih žanrovskih imena, potpisuju Anthony Hickox (treći dio) i Scott Derrickson na početku karijere (peti). Iza kamere je ovaj put stao David Bruckner (odlična “Kuća noćnih mora”), još jednom zainteresiran da kroz horor provuče motiv traume.

“Hellraiser” u tom smislu nije dobar kao “The Night House” ili aktualni kinohoror “Smile”, no Bruckner je pogodio što je za protagonisticu postavio traumatiziranu bivšu ovisnicu Riley (Odessa A’zion) i tako pojedina ukazanja Pinheada i ostalih cenobita, Chatterera i ekipe, mogu djelovati kao produkt njezinih halucinacija nakon što dođe u doticaj s kutijom nalik slagalici koja skriva oštrice željne krvi i, složena, priziva cenobite.

Kutija je “jedina od svoje vrste”, “zaboravljena sve dosad”, kako je rekao njezin prijašnji vlasnik, mr. Voight (Goran Višnjić), žrtvujući nekog nesretnika njezinim oštricama. Pojava Višnjića u krajnje netipičnom izdanju bit će zanimljiva publici s ovih prostora, uz to da se film snimao u Beogradu i da je na specijalnim efektima radio regionalni majstor za takve stvari Miroslav Lakobrija. Sasvim dovoljno da “Hellraisera” stavite na (potencijalnu) “watch” listu za Halloween.

U sporednoj ulozi Serene, Voightove asistentice, gledamo palestinsku glumicu Hiam Abbass, poznatu iz filma "U mojim godinama skrivam da pušim", koja se zna pojavljivati i u hollywoodskim projektima poput "Blade Runnera 2049".
