Neurološki poremećaj od malih nogu izaziva impulzivne "anger management" reakcije kod Lindy (Kate Beckinsale) u Amazonovom visokonaponskom filmu "Jolt". Temperamentna Lindy nema strpljenja niti tolerancije prema kretenima. Bezobrazno ponašanje potiče agresivne impulse u njezinu tijelu i ona reagira ispoljavanjem nasilja, tj. premlaćivanjem nekoga.

Ipak, za Lindyno stanje smišljena je eksperimentalna tehnologija i psihijatar Munchin (Stanley Tucci) doskočio je njezinom "povremenom eksplozivnom poremećaju" tako što je stvorio nekakav elektrošokerski prsluk za svakodnevnu uporabu.

Svaki put kad Lindy osjeti poriv da reagira na kreten(arij)e oko sebe, ona može aktivirati elektrošokove stiskanjem prekidača i neutralizirati nasilničke tendencije te živjeti normalan" život, možda napokon upoznati i zadržati nekog dobrog muškarca, poput Justina (Jai Courtney).

Lindy nosi prsluk i ne odvaja se od prekidača da se unormali, ali prethodno zamišlja u glavi što bi napravila bezobraznoj konobarici ili bogatašu nepristojnom prema poslugi kad joj pukne film. Vizualizacije akcije su zabavne i pripremaju gledatelja na poetiku filma redateljice Tanye Waxler jednom kad Justin strada i junakinja kratkog fitilja krene u osvetnički pohod.

"Jolt" se spaja na "high voltage" elektrode "Ubrzanja 1&2" i radi zanimljivu spolnu inverziju cnohumornih akcijskih kultova s Jasonom Stathamom za eru "Johna Wicka" i "Atomske plavuše", tj. "MeToo" pokreta. Radi i inverziju prijašnjeg Waxleričina filma, kostimirane romantične komedije "Histerija: Tajna ženskog orgazma".

U suludom "Cranku" i "Crank: High Voltage" Stathamov plaćeni ubojica je morao održavati visoku razinu adrenalina da ne umre od otrova pa je posezao za svim i svačim, uključujući elektricitet i spajanje na "kleme". "Hysteria" je, pak, kronicirala kreiranje prvog električnog vibratora i borbu žena za sretan "svršetak" koncem 19. stoljeća.

Beckinsale povezuje "Ubrzanje" i "Histeriju" kao jedna od prvih novomilenijskih akcijskih heroina zahvaljujući serijalu "Underworld", uz Carrie Ann-Moss ("Matrix"), Angelinu Jolie ("Tomb Raider") i Umu Thurman ("Kill Bill"), koja je pokazala osjećaj za crni humor, sarkazam i cinizam u kostimiranom rom-comu "Ljubav i prijateljstvo".

No, "Crank" i "Hysteria" su oslobađali akcijske i seksualne impulse protagonst(ic)a, a junakinja "Jolta" je prisljena potiskivati svoje nasilne pobude, što se uklapa u društveno-političku korektnost današnjice, kako u stvarnosti, tako i na filmu. To će se promijeniti kad Lindyin zatomljeni unutarnji bijes eksplodira, ona prihvati sebe i na svoj "impulse control problem" odgovori nekontroliranom feminističkom akcijskom impulzivnošću.

"Neki ljudi plaču, neki piju, neki pišu usranu poeziju. Ja ozljeđujem ljude i mogla bi taj talent dobro iskoristiti", kaže Lindy, žena s "jedinstvenim darom" za ozljeđivanje poput Keanua Reevesa u "Johnu Wicka" i Charlize Theron u "Atomic Blonde". Vizualno, "Jolt" se ugleda na "Atomsku plavušu" s neonskom fotografijom i možda je najljepše obojani film kompanije Millenium ("Plaćenici", "Pad Olimpa"...) koja često ordinira na bezbojnim istočnoeuropskim lokacijama.

Međutim, Waxler i Beckinsale najviše streme maničnom "Ubrzanju" i preuzimaju njegovu ekstremnu impulzivnost i propulzivnost, preslikavajući Lindy i njezin temperament izvan kontrole. Atomska plavuša nije u rodilištu bacala bebe u zrak kako bi policajka koja joj je za petama spustila pištolj i hvatala novorođenčad, ali nešto tako bi i Stathamov lik lako mogao napraviti.

Takve nepredvidljivosti niveliraju brojne predvidljivosti, klišeje i određene generičnosti filma, čineći ga subverzivnim, ženskim odgovorom na "Crank". S Lindy nema zezancije i Beckinsale uživa u povratku u akciju "Underworlda" i prljavom "stathamovskom" subvertiranju vlastita imidža dame s britanskim naglaskom. Glumica je zaslužila potencijalno još bolji "crankovski" nastavak, najavljen na samome kraju filma. Zaslužila je "Jolt: High Joltage".

Neurološki poremećaj od malih nogu izaziva impulzivne "anger management" reakcije kod Lindy (Kate Beckinsale) u Amazonovom visokonaponskom filmu "Jolt". Temperamentna Lindy nema strpljenja niti tolerancije prema kretenima. Bezobrazno ponašanje potiče agresivne impulse u njezinu tijelu i ona reagira ispoljavanjem nasilja, tj. premlaćivanjem nekoga.

Ipak, za Lindyno stanje smišljena je eksperimentalna tehnologija i psihijatar Munchin (Stanley Tucci) doskočio je njezinom "povremenom eksplozivnom poremećaju" tako što je stvorio nekakav elektrošokerski prsluk za svakodnevnu uporabu.

Svaki put kad Lindy osjeti poriv da reagira na kreten(arij)e oko sebe, ona može aktivirati elektrošokove stiskanjem prekidača i neutralizirati nasilničke tendencije te živjeti normalan" život, možda napokon upoznati i zadržati nekog dobrog muškarca, poput Justina (Jai Courtney).

Lindy nosi prsluk i ne odvaja se od prekidača da se unormali, ali prethodno zamišlja u glavi što bi napravila bezobraznoj konobarici ili bogatašu nepristojnom prema poslugi kad joj pukne film. Vizualizacije akcije su zabavne i pripremaju gledatelja na poetiku filma redateljice Tanye Waxler jednom kad Justin strada i junakinja kratkog fitilja krene u osvetnički pohod.

"Jolt" se spaja na "high voltage" elektrode "Ubrzanja 1&2" i radi zanimljivu spolnu inverziju cnohumornih akcijskih kultova s Jasonom Stathamom za eru "Johna Wicka" i "Atomske plavuše", tj. "MeToo" pokreta. Radi i inverziju prijašnjeg Waxleričina filma, kostimirane romantične komedije "Histerija: Tajna ženskog orgazma".

U suludom "Cranku" i "Crank: High Voltage" Stathamov plaćeni ubojica je morao održavati visoku razinu adrenalina da ne umre od otrova pa je posezao za svim i svačim, uključujući elektricitet i spajanje na "kleme". "Hysteria" je, pak, kronicirala kreiranje prvog električnog vibratora i borbu žena za sretan "svršetak" koncem 19. stoljeća.

Beckinsale povezuje "Ubrzanje" i "Histeriju" kao jedna od prvih novomilenijskih akcijskih heroina zahvaljujući serijalu "Underworld", uz Carrie Ann-Moss ("Matrix"), Angelinu Jolie ("Tomb Raider") i Umu Thurman ("Kill Bill"), koja je pokazala osjećaj za crni humor, sarkazam i cinizam u kostimiranom rom-comu "Ljubav i prijateljstvo".

No, "Crank" i "Hysteria" su oslobađali akcijske i seksualne impulse protagonst(ic)a, a junakinja "Jolta" je prisljena potiskivati svoje nasilne pobude, što se uklapa u društveno-političku korektnost današnjice, kako u stvarnosti, tako i na filmu. To će se promijeniti kad Lindyin zatomljeni unutarnji bijes eksplodira, ona prihvati sebe i na svoj "impulse control problem" odgovori nekontroliranom feminističkom akcijskom impulzivnošću.

"Neki ljudi plaču, neki piju, neki pišu usranu poeziju. Ja ozljeđujem ljude i mogla bi taj talent dobro iskoristiti", kaže Lindy, žena s "jedinstvenim darom" za ozljeđivanje poput Keanua Reevesa u "Johnu Wicka" i Charlize Theron u "Atomic Blonde". Vizualno, "Jolt" se ugleda na "Atomsku plavušu" s neonskom fotografijom i možda je najljepše obojani film kompanije Millenium ("Plaćenici", "Pad Olimpa"...) koja često ordinira na bezbojnim istočnoeuropskim lokacijama.

Međutim, Waxler i Beckinsale najviše streme maničnom "Ubrzanju" i preuzimaju njegovu ekstremnu impulzivnost i propulzivnost, preslikavajući Lindy i njezin temperament izvan kontrole. Atomska plavuša nije u rodilištu bacala bebe u zrak kako bi policajka koja joj je za petama spustila pištolj i hvatala novorođenčad, ali nešto tako bi i Stathamov lik lako mogao napraviti.

Takve nepredvidljivosti niveliraju brojne predvidljivosti, klišeje i određene generičnosti filma, čineći ga subverzivnim, ženskim odgovorom na "Crank". Dok je Statham u "Ubrzanju" sam sebe spojio na kleme, Beckinsale spaja kabele za testise jednog negativca, i to nakon što je drugome iščupala "piercing" tamo gdje najviše boli.

S Lindy nema zezancije i Beckinsale uživa u povratku u akciju "Underworlda" i prljavom "stathamovskom" subvertiranju vlastita imidža dame s britanskim naglaskom. Glumica je zaslužila potencijalno još bolji "crankovski" nastavak, najavljen na samome kraju filma. Zaslužila je "Jolt: High Joltage".
