Rekreacija uvodne scene iz Tarantinovih "Nemilosrdnih gadova" s nacističkim pukovnikom Landom i Shossanom (Christoph Waltz, Melanie Laurent) iskorištena je u šaljive (anti)COVID svrhe. Landa nišani na Shossanu kao u "Inglorious Basterds", ali s montiranim pištoljem za mjerenje temperature, a ona se daje bijeg od kuće jer ima fibru veću od dopuštene.

Ovaj "meme" naveliko se dijelio na društvenim mrežama proteklih mjeseci kao odmak od tmurne koronske zbilje koju (in)indirektno, na ovaj ili onaj način, sve više preslikavaju novi filmovi, kao što je friški francuski "Kisik" ("Oxygene") režisera Alexandera Aje, nastao u produkciji Netflixa.

U "Kisiku" glavnu ulogu tumači upravo zvijezda "Nemilosrdnih gadova" Laurent koja je, zanimljivo, 2014. godine režirala film nazvan "Respire" ili "Breathe", a sada glumi u "Oxygene".

Melanie diše i udiše "Kisik": ovo je "one woman show" vjerojatno nikad bolje francuske glumice, nazočne takoreći u svakom kadru SF trilera stiješnjena u kriogeničkoj komori.

"Oxygene" primarno ovisi o glumici koja jest film, no Laurent je na visini zadatka od prve do posljednje scene u ulozi Elizabeth "Liz" Hansen. Pandemija se ne spominje u "Kisiku", ali film se snimao prošlog ljeta tijekom "lockdowna" i može se okarakterizirati kao SF triler trenutka, urgentniji od "Iza zatvorenih vrata".

Od klaustrofobične "lockdown" izolacije, do borbe za goli život u nedostatku kiska i straha od respiratora, režijski prilično nadahnuti, pa i vizionarski Aja je na ekstremniji način reflektirao pandemijsko sada i ovdje u usporedbi s nedavnim Netflixovim filmom "Slijepi putnik".

U Lizinim maglovitim flešbekovima vidimo bolnicu, liječnike s maskama, pacijente na aparatima. I ona je u kriogeničkoj komori spojena na cjevčice, što upada u oko kad se probudi bez zraka obložena organskom čahurom i izađe iz nje kao da je (simbolički) porođena.

Izlaženje iz čahure kao rađanje prva je upečatljiva slika filma "Oxygene" koji ima košmarno iznimno efektan polazni "visoki koncept" iz pera scenaristice-debitanice Christie LeBlanc. Dakle, Liz se budi u kriogeničkoj komori, bez sjećanja kako je tu dospjela, a razina kisika je na 30-ak posto i opada.

O tome je obavještava računalni sistem M.I.L.O. (glas Mathieua Amalrica), kvazi-HAL9000 u Ajinu svojevrsnu spoju trilera "Živ zakopan" i "Odiseje u svemiru"/"Gravitacije". Liz će čak u jednom trenutku reći kako je "možda živa zakopana", ali ona se nalazi u kriogeničkoj komori, ne u lijesu kao lik Ryana Reyoldsa u "Buried".

No, prostor je gotovo jednako zbijen i klaustrofobičan, a film konceptualno sveden još više u odnosu na prethodni Ajin projekt "Plijen" (jedna potopljena kuća, dvoje ljudi i nekoliko aligatora). Aja je specijaliziran za horore kao što su "Krvava romansa", "Brda imaju oči"....

No, ovdje nema zvijeri ili čudovišta, premda jedan stroj s injekcijom, programiran da smiri/uspava Liz protivno njezinoj volji, može podsjetiti na nekakvu čeličnu zmiju i približiti "Kisik" hororu "Prometeja" s Noomi Rapace zarobljenoj u sondi s "alienskim" plodom u svojoj utrobi koji mora odstraniti pomoću mašinerije.

Dovoljan je horor filma "Oxygene" da Liz ne zna tko je i kako je tu dospjela, posebice što kisik curi i njegova razina se brojčano smanjuje. Ona istovremeno mora popuniti rupe sjećanja i dokučiti kako da izađe iz komore prije nego razina kisika dosegne nulu.

To će se, doznat ćemo negdje na kraju prve trećine 100-minutna "Kisika", dogoditi između 72 i 43 minute, ovisno o potrošnji, što minutažu filma približava realnom vremenu i potencira njegovu urgentnost. Tenzije misterije se propisno zatežu (što se događa, tko je Liz stavio tu i zašto?), a napadaji panike i tjeskoba rastu u prvoj, boljoj polovini "Oxygenea" kad Liz, uz asistenciju umjetne inteligencije, pokušava ostvariti komunikaciju s nekim izvan komore da locira gdje je i usput se prisjetiti svoga života.

Međutim, koliko god da dotad film umije ostaviti bez daha i svejedno djeluje kao dašak svježeg zraka u recentnoj streaming ponudi, momentum trilerske napetosti za gristi nokte sve više popušta nakon što se u zadnjoj trećini počnu nizati znan-fan obrati i otkrića, a priča se zaplitati u pretjeranim objašnjenjima. "Kisik" diše triler do pretposljednjeg, ne posljednjeg daha.

Anne i Noomi u igri za ulogu

Za glavnu ulogu je jednom figurirala oskarovka Anne Hathaway, zatim i Noomi Rapace koja je ostala uključena u projekt kao izvršna producentica. Anne je ipak snimila svoj pandemijski film "Locked Down", a i Noomi je glumila zatočenicu u "Rupture".

Rekreacija uvodne scene iz Tarantinovih "Nemilosrdnih gadova" s nacističkim pukovnikom Landom i Shossanom (Christoph Waltz, Melanie Laurent) iskorištena je u šaljive (anti)COVID svrhe. Landa nišani na Shossanu kao u "Inglorious Basterds", ali s montiranim pištoljem za mjerenje temperature, a ona se daje bijeg od kuće jer ima fibru veću od dopuštene.

Ovaj "meme" naveliko se dijelio na društvenim mrežama proteklih mjeseci kao odmak od tmurne koronske zbilje koju (in)indirektno, na ovaj ili onaj način, sve više preslikavaju novi filmovi, kao što je friški francuski "Kisik" ("Oxygene") režisera Alexandera Aje, nastao u produkciji Netflixa.

U "Kisiku" glavnu ulogu tumači upravo zvijezda "Nemilosrdnih gadova" Laurent koja je, zanimljivo, 2014. godine režirala film nazvan "Respire" ili "Breathe", a sada glumi u "Oxygene".

Melanie diše i udiše "Kisik": ovo je "one woman show" vjerojatno nikad bolje francuske glumice, nazočne takoreći u svakom kadru SF trilera stiješnjena u kriogeničkoj komori.

"Oxygene" primarno ovisi o glumici koja jest film, no Laurent je na visini zadatka od prve do posljednje scene u ulozi Elizabeth "Liz" Hansen. Pandemija se ne spominje u "Kisiku", ali film se snimao prošlog ljeta tijekom "lockdowna" i može se okarakterizirati kao SF triler trenutka, urgentniji od "Iza zatvorenih vrata".

Od klaustrofobične "lockdown" izolacije, do borbe za goli život u nedostatku kiska i straha od respiratora, režijski prilično nadahnuti, pa i vizionarski Aja je na ekstremniji način reflektirao pandemijsko sada i ovdje u usporedbi s nedavnim Netflixovim filmom "Slijepi putnik".

U Lizinim maglovitim flešbekovima vidimo bolnicu, liječnike s maskama, pacijente na aparatima. I ona je u kriogeničkoj komori spojena na cjevčice, što upada u oko kad se probudi bez zraka obložena organskom čahurom i izađe iz nje kao da je (simbolički) porođena.

Izlaženje iz čahure kao rađanje prva je upečatljiva slika filma "Oxygene" koji ima košmarno iznimno efektan polazni "visoki koncept" iz pera scenaristice-debitanice Christie LeBlanc. Dakle, Liz se budi u kriogeničkoj komori, bez sjećanja kako je tu dospjela, a razina kisika je na 30-ak posto i opada.

O tome je obavještava računalni sistem M.I.L.O. (glas Mathieua Amalrica), kvazi-HAL9000 u Ajinu svojevrsnu spoju trilera "Živ zakopan" i "Odiseje u svemiru"/"Gravitacije". Liz će čak u jednom trenutku reći kako je "možda živa zakopana", ali ona se nalazi u kriogeničkoj komori, ne u lijesu kao lik Ryana Reyoldsa u "Buried".

No, prostor je gotovo jednako zbijen i klaustrofobičan, a film konceptualno sveden još više u odnosu na prethodni Ajin projekt "Plijen" (jedna potopljena kuća, dvoje ljudi i nekoliko aligatora). Aja je specijaliziran za horore kao što su "Krvava romansa", "Brda imaju oči"....

No, ovdje nema zvijeri ili čudovišta, premda jedan stroj s injekcijom, programiran da smiri/uspava Liz protivno njezinoj volji, može podsjetiti na nekakvu čeličnu zmiju i približiti "Kisik" hororu "Prometeja" s Noomi Rapace zarobljenoj u sondi s "alienskim" plodom u svojoj utrobi koji mora odstraniti pomoću mašinerije.

Dovoljan je horor filma "Oxygene" da Liz ne zna tko je i kako je tu dospjela, posebice što kisik curi i njegova razina se brojčano smanjuje. Ona istovremeno mora popuniti rupe sjećanja i dokučiti kako da izađe iz komore prije nego razina kisika dosegne nulu.

To će se, doznat ćemo negdje na kraju prve trećine 100-minutna "Kisika", dogoditi između 72 i 43 minute, ovisno o potrošnji, što minutažu filma približava realnom vremenu i potencira njegovu urgentnost. Tenzije misterije se propisno zatežu (što se događa, tko je Liz stavio tu i zašto?), a napadaji panike i tjeskoba rastu u prvoj, boljoj polovini "Oxygenea" kad Liz, uz asistenciju umjetne inteligencije, pokušava ostvariti komunikaciju s nekim izvan komore da locira gdje je i usput se prisjetiti svoga života.

Međutim, koliko god da dotad film umije ostaviti bez daha i svejedno djeluje kao dašak svježeg zraka u recentnoj streaming ponudi, momentum trilerske napetosti za gristi nokte sve više popušta nakon što se u zadnjoj trećini počnu nizati znan-fan obrati i otkrića, a priča se zaplitati u pretjeranim objašnjenjima. "Kisik" diše triler do pretposljednjeg, ne posljednjeg daha.

Anne i Noomi u igri za ulogu

Za glavnu ulogu je jednom figurirala oskarovka Anne Hathaway, zatim i Noomi Rapace koja je ostala uključena u projekt kao izvršna producentica. Anne je ipak snimila svoj pandemijski film "Locked Down", a i Noomi je glumila zatočenicu u "Rupture".
