Igrati Nintendovu arkadnu videoigru "Super Mario Bros." jedna je od najljepših dječačkih uspomena s kraja osamdesetih. Otac-pomorac prijatelja iz zgrade kupio je videoigricu u inozemstvu i jednom kad se "Super Mario Bros." montirao nije se prestajao igrati od jutra do mraka, od jednog do drugog nivoa.

Skakutavi brkati vodoinstalater Mario i njegov brat Luigi postali su nam novi najbolji prijatelji i s njima smo se jedva čekali otisnuti u potragu za princezom koju je oteo glavni negativac u liku velike zmajolike kornjače (Bowser). Slike videoigre zauvijek su se uramile u sjećanje, prateći zvukovi možda čak i više.

U glavi još uvijek odzvanjaju preskakanja zelenih cijevi s biljkama mesožderkama, osvajanja "power upsa" (novčići itd.) što se skrivaju u blokovima cigla, pucanja na smeđe gljivaste negativce i zločeste kornjače te razočaranja prilikom saznanja da je "princeza u drugom dvorcu" taman kad ste mislili da ste sredili "zmaja" i došli do kraja.

Sve to ponovno će ući u uho generacijama koje su igrale videogru kad pogledaju "Super Mario Bros. Film" ("The Super Mario Bros. Movie"), novu kino ekranizaciju Nintendova hita, prvu nakon trideset godina. Sjetimo se, 1993. je u kina stigao "Super Mario Bros." s Bobom Hoskinsom i Johnom Leguizamom u ulogama braće, ali film je ispao krupan promašaj i do daljnjega odgodio neke nove visokobudžetne adaptacije ove videoigre za veliki ekran.

Mario je bio spreman za popravni ispit nakon što su ekranizacije videoigara "Angry Birds" i "Sonic: Super Jež" postale veliki hitovi i dobili nastavke. Slijedeći njihov trag, Mario se predstavlja u vjernijem i prirodnijem animiranom izdanju, što je prvi korak u pravom smjeru.

Za animaciju je odgovoran studio Illumination koji je za režiju angažirao američkog Hrvata Michaela Jelenica i animatora hrvatskog prezimena Aarona Horvatha te dodao je još jednu naizglednu franšizu u katalog pored "Grua", "Malaca" i "Pjevajte sa nama".

Crtić je dopadljivo oslikan u bojama šarenih bombona i prilagođen animiranim blockbusterskim atrakcijama današnjice, kao i novim generacijama klinaca koji možda nisu još ni zaigrali igru, ali su gledali hit-avanture Grua i Malaca. Završnica je svojevrsni mini "Godzilla vs. (Donkey) Kong" s Bowserom kao Godzillom, a prethodi joj karting scena potjere po Duginom putu kao zgodna varijacija na akcijsku jurnjavu filma "Pobješnjeli Maxa: Divlja cesta"... u bojama duge.

Prilagođavanje se očituje i u tome da je Princeza sada kung fu ratnica, ne oteta "dama u nevolji" koju treba spasiti od negativca Bowsera. Naprotiv, Luigi biva otet nakon što on i Mario propadnu kroz vodovodne cijevi ispod Brooklyna i prvi završi u Mračnoj zemlji, a drugi u Kraljevstvu gljiva. Luigi je taj kojeg spašavaju Mario i Princeza zajedno s Donkey Kongom, da franšizacija bude potpunija.

Srećom, "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" ipak nije novi "Masters Of The Universe" pa da Princeza postane glavniji lik od Marija kao Teela od He-Mana, iako je malo nedostajalo za to. Upravo ona otkriva Mariju moći "power upsa" i on mora proći takoreći jedan nivo vlastite videogre da bi krenuo s njom u akciju, a zanimljivo je da su mu, kad je stigao u Kraljevstvo gljiva, iz zezancije rekli "Naša princeza je u drugom dvorcu".

Bilo bi poželjno da sličnih dobrodošlo namigujućih "metafilmskih" trenutaka ima više u crtiću "Super Mario Bros." koji je krcat tzv. uskršnjim jajima (npr. netko u podlozi kadra igra "Donkey Konga") i nije cijepljen protiv imaginacije, ali je inferiorniji kreativno zaigranijem, samoironičnijem i zabavnijem "Lego Filmu", premda dijeli scenarista Matthewa Fogela ("The Lego Movie 2").

"Lego Film" je metafilmski ubacio lik klinca koji se igra legićima i kroji priču crtića, ali "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" nije napravio nešto slično i inkorporirao nekog "playera" da plete zaplet igrajući videoigru. Neki (stariji) gledatelji bi, tako, mogli imati dojam da gledaju nekog drugog kako igra igru umjesto njih, ali nostalgija je toliko jaka da će poželjeti pronaći Nintendo kad dođu doma nakon povratka iz kina i sami zaigrati "Super Marija". To crtiću dođe kao kompliment.

Rekordna zarada za crtić

"Super Mario Bros." je pomeo svjetska kina i sa zaradom od 377 milijuna dolara ostvario najbolje vikend-otvaranje kad je u pitanju animirani film, srušivši dosadašnji rekord koji je držalo "Snježno kraljevstvo 2" (358 milijuna). Također, ostvario je i najbolje otvaranje za ekranizaciju neke videoigre. P.S. U kinima igra sinkronizirana i izvorna titlovana verzija.

Igrati Nintendovu arkadnu videoigru "Super Mario Bros." jedna je od najljepših dječačkih uspomena s kraja osamdesetih. Otac-pomorac prijatelja iz zgrade kupio je videoigricu u inozemstvu i jednom kad se "Super Mario Bros." montirao nije se prestajao igrati od jutra do mraka, od jednog do drugog nivoa.

Skakutavi brkati vodoinstalater Mario i njegov brat Luigi postali su nam novi najbolji prijatelji i s njima smo se jedva čekali otisnuti u potragu za princezom koju je oteo glavni negativac u liku velike zmajolike kornjače (Bowser). Slike videoigre zauvijek su se uramile u sjećanje, prateći zvukovi možda čak i više.

U glavi još uvijek odzvanjaju preskakanja zelenih cijevi s biljkama mesožderkama, osvajanja "power upsa" (novčići itd.) što se skrivaju u blokovima cigla, pucanja na smeđe gljivaste negativce i zločeste kornjače te razočaranja prilikom saznanja da je "princeza u drugom dvorcu" taman kad ste mislili da ste sredili "zmaja" i došli do kraja.

Sve to ponovno će ući u uho generacijama koje su igrale videogru kad pogledaju "Super Mario Bros. Film" ("The Super Mario Bros. Movie"), novu kino ekranizaciju Nintendova hita, prvu nakon trideset godina. Sjetimo se, 1993. je u kina stigao "Super Mario Bros." s Bobom Hoskinsom i Johnom Leguizamom u ulogama braće, ali film je ispao krupan promašaj i do daljnjega odgodio neke nove visokobudžetne adaptacije ove videoigre za veliki ekran.

Mario je bio spreman za popravni ispit nakon što su ekranizacije videoigara "Angry Birds" i "Sonic: Super Jež" postale veliki hitovi i dobili nastavke. Slijedeći njihov trag, Mario se predstavlja u vjernijem i prirodnijem animiranom izdanju, što je prvi korak u pravom smjeru.

Za animaciju je odgovoran studio Illumination koji je za režiju angažirao američkog Hrvata Michaela Jelenica i animatora hrvatskog prezimena Aarona Horvatha te dodao je još jednu naizglednu franšizu u katalog pored "Grua", "Malaca" i "Pjevajte sa nama".

Crtić je dopadljivo oslikan u bojama šarenih bombona i prilagođen animiranim blockbusterskim atrakcijama današnjice, kao i novim generacijama klinaca koji možda nisu još ni zaigrali igru, ali su gledali hit-avanture Grua i Malaca. Završnica je svojevrsni mini "Godzilla vs. (Donkey) Kong" s Bowserom kao Godzillom, a prethodi joj karting scena potjere po Duginom putu kao zgodna varijacija na akcijsku jurnjavu filma "Pobješnjeli Maxa: Divlja cesta"... u bojama duge.

Prilagođavanje se očituje i u tome da je Princeza sada kung fu ratnica, ne oteta "dama u nevolji" koju treba spasiti od negativca Bowsera. Naprotiv, Luigi biva otet nakon što on i Mario propadnu kroz vodovodne cijevi ispod Brooklyna i prvi završi u Mračnoj zemlji, a drugi u Kraljevstvu gljiva. Luigi je taj kojeg spašavaju Mario i Princeza zajedno s Donkey Kongom, da franšizacija bude potpunija.

Srećom, "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" ipak nije novi "Masters Of The Universe" pa da Princeza postane glavniji lik od Marija kao Teela od He-Mana, iako je malo nedostajalo za to. Upravo ona otkriva Mariju moći "power upsa" i on mora proći takoreći jedan nivo vlastite videogre da bi krenuo s njom u akciju, a zanimljivo je da su mu, kad je stigao u Kraljevstvo gljiva, iz zezancije rekli "Naša princeza je u drugom dvorcu".

Bilo bi poželjno da sličnih dobrodošlo namigujućih "metafilmskih" trenutaka ima više u crtiću "Super Mario Bros." koji je krcat tzv. uskršnjim jajima (npr. netko u podlozi kadra igra "Donkey Konga") i nije cijepljen protiv imaginacije, ali je inferiorniji kreativno zaigranijem, samoironičnijem i zabavnijem "Lego Filmu", premda dijeli scenarista Matthewa Fogela ("The Lego Movie 2").

"Lego Film" je metafilmski ubacio lik klinca koji se igra legićima i kroji priču crtića, ali "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" nije napravio nešto slično i inkorporirao nekog "playera" da plete zaplet igrajući videoigru. Neki (stariji) gledatelji bi, tako, mogli imati dojam da gledaju nekog drugog kako igra igru umjesto njih, ali nostalgija je toliko jaka da će poželjeti pronaći Nintendo kad dođu doma nakon povratka iz kina i sami zaigrati "Super Marija". To crtiću dođe kao kompliment.

Rekordna zarada za crtić

"Super Mario Bros." je pomeo svjetska kina i sa zaradom od 377 milijuna dolara ostvario najbolje vikend-otvaranje kad je u pitanju animirani film, srušivši dosadašnji rekord koji je držalo "Snježno kraljevstvo 2" (358 milijuna). Također, ostvario je i najbolje otvaranje za ekranizaciju neke videoigre. P.S. U kinima igra sinkronizirana i izvorna titlovana verzija.
