Aaron Kok, solist Baleta HNK Split, na Splitskom ljetu publici će se predstaviti kao koreograf s predstavom "Venatus/Migrations".

Spoj dva neoklasična baleta na glazbu Szymona Brzoska i Kirilla Richtera premijerno se izvodi na Sustipanu u utorak 20. srpnja, a balet je na programu i sutradan, 21. srpnja.

Aaron Kok (26) rođen je u Sydneyu, u Australiji. Baletno obrazovanje započeo je na McDonald College Performing Arts u Sydneyu, a nastavlja ga 2012. u Nizozemskoj na Dutch National Ballet Academy.

Za vrijeme svog školovanja plesao je razne solističke uloge te se nakon diplome 2015. pridružuje poznatoj nizozemskoj plesnoj akademiji Introdans. Istovremeno radi i na svojim koreografskim projektima.

U Split je stigao 2017., a Balet HNK Split predstavljao je i izvan matične pozornice na uglednim međunarodnim manifestacijama, poput Benefiz Gala u Münchenu, te Tanzwoche Dresden.

Neoklasični balet "Venatus", podijeljen u četiri kratka stavka, priređen za prošlogodišnju Gala večer na Sustipanu, predstavlja novi pristup tradicionalnom, „bijelom“ baletu - ima sve tradicionalne elemente kao što su "pas de deux", "solo" i "corps de ballet finale", ovaj put u minimalističkom dekoru i kostimu koji ističu fizikalnost i glazbenost plesača. Naslov na latinskom znači "lov" i preuzet je iz pjesme posljednjeg stavka u baletu.

"Migrations" ili "Migracije" pokušavaju vizualnim jezikom, govorom glazbe i tijela, odgovoriti na pitanja koja si migranti postavljaju: Kako se uklapamo u društvo? Kako se prilagođavamo rutinama, kulturi koja nas okružuje?

- "Migracije" su moj prvi konceptualni komad – kaže nam baletni solist koji svojim bravurama na pozornici često izaziva aplauz publike.

- Osjetio sam da želim nekako ispričati ljudima svoja iskustva s migracijama i o stalnom pokušavanju prilagođavanja različitim kulturama i tradicijama sredina u kojima sam živio.

A nema boljeg načina od pokreta. Jer, rođen sam i odrastao u Sydneyu, a preselio sam se u Amsterdam da bih studirao sa 16 godina.

I od tada uvijek osjećam da sam daleko od kuće. U tim godinama bio sam mlad, a morao sam naučiti kako se brinuti za sebe, prilagoditi se različitim životnim stilovima i kulturama, jednako kao i pronaći osjećaj pripadnosti zajednici.

Većina plesača u ovom baletu su ovdje stranci, tako da sam siguran da veći dio njih ima neki odnos prema ovoj temi. Bilo da su se doselili iz različitih zemalja ili se pokušavaju uklopiti u različite društvene krugove – veli mladi koreograf koji je izabrao nadahnjujuću glazbu za oba neoklasična komada: skladbe S. Broszke svidjele su mu se zbog muzikalnosti i raznolikosti glazbe, a u albumu K. Richtera pronašao je puno toga osobnoga za koreografiju.

Aaron Kok ne daje prednost koreografiranju nad plesom:

- Oboje imaju određenu privlačnost: volim koreografiranje jer mi daje slobodu izražavanja u onom što želim reći kroz pokret, a ples jer mogu postati ona ideja koju koreografija traži od mene.

Ovo je definitivno bilo korisno iskustvo, shvatio sam da se iza scene događa puno više, ali to je bila krivulja učenja – kaže mladi koreograf, uzbuđen pred premijeru prvog svog velikog baleta.

Kaže da jedva čeka da se pojavi na pozornici i da publika napokon vidi produkciju o kojoj razmišlja od početka kazališne sezone.

Uz njega, na predstavi su angažirani Albina Rahmatullina kao asistentica koreografije, kostimograf je Maja Peruzović, dizajner svjetla Branimir Bokan i dizajner zvuka Petar Ivanišević.

Aaron Kok, solist Baleta HNK Split, na Splitskom ljetu publici će se predstaviti kao koreograf s predstavom "Venatus/Migrations".

Spoj dva neoklasična baleta na glazbu Szymona Brzoska i Kirilla Richtera premijerno se izvodi na Sustipanu u utorak 20. srpnja, a balet je na programu i sutradan, 21. srpnja.

Aaron Kok (26) rođen je u Sydneyu, u Australiji. Baletno obrazovanje započeo je na McDonald College Performing Arts u Sydneyu, a nastavlja ga 2012. u Nizozemskoj na Dutch National Ballet Academy.

Za vrijeme svog školovanja plesao je razne solističke uloge te se nakon diplome 2015. pridružuje poznatoj nizozemskoj plesnoj akademiji Introdans. Istovremeno radi i na svojim koreografskim projektima.

U Split je stigao 2017., a Balet HNK Split predstavljao je i izvan matične pozornice na uglednim međunarodnim manifestacijama, poput Benefiz Gala u Münchenu, te Tanzwoche Dresden.

Neoklasični balet "Venatus", podijeljen u četiri kratka stavka, priređen za prošlogodišnju Gala večer na Sustipanu, predstavlja novi pristup tradicionalnom, „bijelom“ baletu - ima sve tradicionalne elemente kao što su "pas de deux", "solo" i "corps de ballet finale", ovaj put u minimalističkom dekoru i kostimu koji ističu fizikalnost i glazbenost plesača. Naslov na latinskom znači "lov" i preuzet je iz pjesme posljednjeg stavka u baletu.

"Migrations" ili "Migracije" pokušavaju vizualnim jezikom, govorom glazbe i tijela, odgovoriti na pitanja koja si migranti postavljaju: Kako se uklapamo u društvo? Kako se prilagođavamo rutinama, kulturi koja nas okružuje?

- "Migracije" su moj prvi konceptualni komad – kaže nam baletni solist koji svojim bravurama na pozornici često izaziva aplauz publike.

- Osjetio sam da želim nekako ispričati ljudima svoja iskustva s migracijama i o stalnom pokušavanju prilagođavanja različitim kulturama i tradicijama sredina u kojima sam živio.

A nema boljeg načina od pokreta. Jer, rođen sam i odrastao u Sydneyu, a preselio sam se u Amsterdam da bih studirao sa 16 godina.

I od tada uvijek osjećam da sam daleko od kuće. U tim godinama bio sam mlad, a morao sam naučiti kako se brinuti za sebe, prilagoditi se različitim životnim stilovima i kulturama, jednako kao i pronaći osjećaj pripadnosti zajednici.

Većina plesača u ovom baletu su ovdje stranci, tako da sam siguran da veći dio njih ima neki odnos prema ovoj temi. Bilo da su se doselili iz različitih zemalja ili se pokušavaju uklopiti u različite društvene krugove – veli mladi koreograf koji je izabrao nadahnjujuću glazbu za oba neoklasična komada: skladbe S. Broszke svidjele su mu se zbog muzikalnosti i raznolikosti glazbe, a u albumu K. Richtera pronašao je puno toga osobnoga za koreografiju.

Aaron Kok ne daje prednost koreografiranju nad plesom:

- Oboje imaju određenu privlačnost: volim koreografiranje jer mi daje slobodu izražavanja u onom što želim reći kroz pokret, a ples jer mogu postati ona ideja koju koreografija traži od mene.

Ovo je definitivno bilo korisno iskustvo, shvatio sam da se iza scene događa puno više, ali to je bila krivulja učenja – kaže mladi koreograf, uzbuđen pred premijeru prvog svog velikog baleta.

Kaže da jedva čeka da se pojavi na pozornici i da publika napokon vidi produkciju o kojoj razmišlja od početka kazališne sezone.

Uz njega, na predstavi su angažirani Albina Rahmatullina kao asistentica koreografije, kostimograf je Maja Peruzović, dizajner svjetla Branimir Bokan i dizajner zvuka Petar Ivanišević.
