Izraelskog pisca Drora Mišanija mi smo upoznali – odostraga.

Prvo smo imali priliku pročitati njegov odličan psihološki triler pod naslovom “Tri”, izvorno objavljen 2018., a kod nas preveden 2021. U bilješci o piscu mogli smo se obavijestiti kako je Mišani i kod kuće i u svijetu afirmiran kao autor popularnih detektivskih romana čiji je glavni junak istražitelj Avraham Avraham, da su do sada objavljena tri, a da je prvi publiciran još 2011. godine.

Taj naopaki redoslijed objavljivanja prilično je podigao letvicu očekivanja. Pod dojmom sjajnog psihološkog trilera, očekivao sam da će i Mišanijevi krimići jamčiti sličan čitateljski užitak. To prije što sam u međuvremenu na Frakturinu Festivalu svjetske književnosti imao prilike upoznati se s ovim autorom, vrlo simpatičnim čovjekom, eruditom na polju detektivske fikcije (konačno, povijest ovoga žanra predaje na sveučilištu), čiji su me se inovativni i iskošeni pogledi na dugu i bogatu tradiciju pisanja o zločinima prilično dojmili.

Postao sam stoga njegov još veći navijač i jedva sam dočekao priliku da konačno uzmem u ruke prvi roman iz serije o Avrahamu Avrahamu, “Nestao” (prijevod s hebrejskog potpisala je Laila Šprajc). I kako je prošlo, je li se na koncu ispostavilo da je libar bio na visini mojih očekivanja (i ne samo mojih, jer su i kritika i publika kod nas s oduševljenjem prigrlili roman “Tri”)? Hm...

Najradije bih još pola sata znakovito “hmekao” i tako pokušao odgoditi izricanje onoga što zaista mislim, ali znam da moram prijeći na stvar.

Pada mrak, istražitelj se sprema ići kući, već razmišlja o tome što će jesti i što će uz večeru gledati na televiziji (naravno, u pitanju je melankolični samac kojega doma ne čekaju ni topli obrok ni topla postelja), kad tu dremljivu rutinu razbija posjet uznemirene žene koja želi prijaviti nestanak svoga sina tinejdžera.

Avraham je pokušava uvjeriti kako nema razloga za strah. Dugogodišnje iskustvo govori mu kako strašni scenariji na koje preplašeni čovjek pomišlja kad se uspaniči nisu mogući u društvu kao što je izraelsko, gdje je kriminal na niskim razinama.

“Kod nas nema serijskih ubojica”, umiruje je detektiv, “nema otmica, gotovo da i nema silovatelja koji napadaju žene po ulicama. Kod nas, ukoliko se dogodi zločin, počinitelj je obično susjed, ujak, djed, i nije potrebna složena istraga kako bi se otkrio počinitelj i razriješio misterij. Jer kod nas nema misterija. Objašnjenje je uvijek ono najjednostavnije.”

Slojevita profilacija

Mišani, kako rekoh, nije samo pisac, nego i profesor. On bolje od ikoga zna kako u Izraelu ne postoji ozbiljna tradicija pisanja krimića, i uvjeren je da ta okolnost ide na dušu činjenici što je tamošnje društvo vrlo sigurno.

Izraelci imaju itekakvih razloga plašiti se terorizma i opakih geopolitičkih ambicija nekih nezanemarivih regionalnih igrača, ali mogu biti mirni što se tiče, recimo, organiziranog kriminala.

Nemam razloga u to sumnjati, ali nisam siguran da je autor baš morao u tolikoj mjeri svoj književni svijet sravniti sa stvarnošću. Ni u Stockholmu ni u Rejkjaviku ne teku slapovi krvi, pa se tamošnji pisci ipak ne sustežu prekoračiti prag realnih očekivanja, nego si daju oduška i imaginiraju zločine kakvi se tamo nikada nisu dogodili niti hoće.

Ali vratimo se mi dremljivom redarstvenom rutineru Avrahamu. Njemu će trebati malo vremena da se slučaju posveti s dužnom ozbiljnošću.

Kad se ispostavi da majka nije bez razloga dizala paniku jer od dečka zaista nema ni traga ni glasa, detektiva će zbog prvotne ležernosti početi gristi savjest. Tada će se gorljivo i metodično posvetiti svome poslu, mukotrpnoj istražnoj proceduri koju Mišani akribično rekonstruira.

Je li to dobra vijest? Baš i ne, jer su sve poslovnicima i protokolima propisane procedure pretežno dosadne, pa tako i ova.

”Nestao” je libar kojemu treba podosta vremena odnosno stranica da se zahukta. Koliko točno? Otprilike četiri petine. Kao priču o jednom slučaju, ovaj libar mi je teško preporučiti.

No to još uvijek ne znači da sam serijal o Avrahamu Avrahamu prekrižio. Ma koliko god roman zapinjao u dijelovima koji se tiču žanrovske supstance, izvlači ga odlična, slojevita profilacija likova, osobito glavnog junaka. I dok se krimi slučaj bude (presporo) zaplitao, zaplet će se dogoditi i u njegovu privatnom životu, obećavajući zanimljiv nastavak.

Toplo se nadam da će simpatični detektiv u drugome laufu dobiti malo izazovniji i napetiji slučaj, pa makar on odudarao od pastoralne kriminalne stvarnosti izraelskog društva.

Izraelskog pisca Drora Mišanija mi smo upoznali – odostraga.

Prvo smo imali priliku pročitati njegov odličan psihološki triler pod naslovom “Tri”, izvorno objavljen 2018., a kod nas preveden 2021. U bilješci o piscu mogli smo se obavijestiti kako je Mišani i kod kuće i u svijetu afirmiran kao autor popularnih detektivskih romana čiji je glavni junak istražitelj Avraham Avraham, da su do sada objavljena tri, a da je prvi publiciran još 2011. godine.

Taj naopaki redoslijed objavljivanja prilično je podigao letvicu očekivanja. Pod dojmom sjajnog psihološkog trilera, očekivao sam da će i Mišanijevi krimići jamčiti sličan čitateljski užitak. To prije što sam u međuvremenu na Frakturinu Festivalu svjetske književnosti imao prilike upoznati se s ovim autorom, vrlo simpatičnim čovjekom, eruditom na polju detektivske fikcije (konačno, povijest ovoga žanra predaje na sveučilištu), čiji su me se inovativni i iskošeni pogledi na dugu i bogatu tradiciju pisanja o zločinima prilično dojmili.

Postao sam stoga njegov još veći navijač i jedva sam dočekao priliku da konačno uzmem u ruke prvi roman iz serije o Avrahamu Avrahamu, “Nestao” (prijevod s hebrejskog potpisala je Laila Šprajc). I kako je prošlo, je li se na koncu ispostavilo da je libar bio na visini mojih očekivanja (i ne samo mojih, jer su i kritika i publika kod nas s oduševljenjem prigrlili roman “Tri”)? Hm...

Najradije bih još pola sata znakovito “hmekao” i tako pokušao odgoditi izricanje onoga što zaista mislim, ali znam da moram prijeći na stvar.

Pada mrak, istražitelj se sprema ići kući, već razmišlja o tome što će jesti i što će uz večeru gledati na televiziji (naravno, u pitanju je melankolični samac kojega doma ne čekaju ni topli obrok ni topla postelja), kad tu dremljivu rutinu razbija posjet uznemirene žene koja želi prijaviti nestanak svoga sina tinejdžera.

Avraham je pokušava uvjeriti kako nema razloga za strah. Dugogodišnje iskustvo govori mu kako strašni scenariji na koje preplašeni čovjek pomišlja kad se uspaniči nisu mogući u društvu kao što je izraelsko, gdje je kriminal na niskim razinama.

“Kod nas nema serijskih ubojica”, umiruje je detektiv, “nema otmica, gotovo da i nema silovatelja koji napadaju žene po ulicama. Kod nas, ukoliko se dogodi zločin, počinitelj je obično susjed, ujak, djed, i nije potrebna složena istraga kako bi se otkrio počinitelj i razriješio misterij. Jer kod nas nema misterija. Objašnjenje je uvijek ono najjednostavnije.”

Slojevita profilacija

Mišani, kako rekoh, nije samo pisac, nego i profesor. On bolje od ikoga zna kako u Izraelu ne postoji ozbiljna tradicija pisanja krimića, i uvjeren je da ta okolnost ide na dušu činjenici što je tamošnje društvo vrlo sigurno.

Izraelci imaju itekakvih razloga plašiti se terorizma i opakih geopolitičkih ambicija nekih nezanemarivih regionalnih igrača, ali mogu biti mirni što se tiče, recimo, organiziranog kriminala.

Nemam razloga u to sumnjati, ali nisam siguran da je autor baš morao u tolikoj mjeri svoj književni svijet sravniti sa stvarnošću. Ni u Stockholmu ni u Rejkjaviku ne teku slapovi krvi, pa se tamošnji pisci ipak ne sustežu prekoračiti prag realnih očekivanja, nego si daju oduška i imaginiraju zločine kakvi se tamo nikada nisu dogodili niti hoće.

Ali vratimo se mi dremljivom redarstvenom rutineru Avrahamu. Njemu će trebati malo vremena da se slučaju posveti s dužnom ozbiljnošću.

Kad se ispostavi da majka nije bez razloga dizala paniku jer od dečka zaista nema ni traga ni glasa, detektiva će zbog prvotne ležernosti početi gristi savjest. Tada će se gorljivo i metodično posvetiti svome poslu, mukotrpnoj istražnoj proceduri koju Mišani akribično rekonstruira.

Je li to dobra vijest? Baš i ne, jer su sve poslovnicima i protokolima propisane procedure pretežno dosadne, pa tako i ova.

”Nestao” je libar kojemu treba podosta vremena odnosno stranica da se zahukta. Koliko točno? Otprilike četiri petine. Kao priču o jednom slučaju, ovaj libar mi je teško preporučiti.

No to još uvijek ne znači da sam serijal o Avrahamu Avrahamu prekrižio. Ma koliko god roman zapinjao u dijelovima koji se tiču žanrovske supstance, izvlači ga odlična, slojevita profilacija likova, osobito glavnog junaka. I dok se krimi slučaj bude (presporo) zaplitao, zaplet će se dogoditi i u njegovu privatnom životu, obećavajući zanimljiv nastavak.

Toplo se nadam da će simpatični detektiv u drugome laufu dobiti malo izazovniji i napetiji slučaj, pa makar on odudarao od pastoralne kriminalne stvarnosti izraelskog društva.
