Bilo to realno ili ne, ali aktualno vodstvo splitskog ogranka Matice hrvatske (MH) izrazilo je spremnost za upravljanje novom-starom knjižarom “Morpurgo” na Pjaci i organizacijom njezina rada.

Ta bi se amblematska lokacija u životu grada trebala iz privatnih ruku vratiti u javno vlasništvo, a budući da je riječ o nekretnini koja je i svojom namjenom zaštićena kao nacionalno kulturno dobro, traže se načini da prostor ponovno otvori svoja vrata ljubiteljima pisane riječi.

- Upravni odbor ogranka Matice hrvatske već je prije nekoliko godina raspravljao o budućnosti knjižare te je zaključeno da se Gradu ponudi mogućnost da ogranak organizira rad “Morpurga”. To bi podrazumijevalo kontinuitet rada knjižare tijekom 160 godina od njezina osnivanja, te stoga zaslužuje da njom upravlja jedna od najstarijih kulturnih institucija u Hrvatskoj kao što je Matica hrvatska.

Bilo bi poželjno da se u upravljanju “Morpurgom” pridruži jedna od aktivnih lokalnih udruga u kulturi kao što je primjerice Književni krug. Većina izloženih knjiga u “Morpurgu” bile bi knjige izdane u nakladi Matice hrvatske i Književnog kruga, ali bi mjesta imala i druga vrijedna djela od značaja za hrvatsku kulturu i znanost. O prethodnom uređenju (uz konzervatorski nadzor), vremenu otvaranja, načinu rada i poslovanja te o ostalim tehničkim detaljima odlučilo bi se zajedničkim dogovorom zainteresiranih strana - predstavnika ogranka Matice hrvatske, Književnog kruga i grada - naglašava dr. Joško Kalilić, čelnik MH pod Marjanom.

Bilo to realno ili ne, ali aktualno vodstvo splitskog ogranka Matice hrvatske (MH) izrazilo je spremnost za upravljanje novom-starom knjižarom “Morpurgo” na Pjaci i organizacijom njezina rada.

Ta bi se amblematska lokacija u životu grada trebala iz privatnih ruku vratiti u javno vlasništvo, a budući da je riječ o nekretnini koja je i svojom namjenom zaštićena kao nacionalno kulturno dobro, traže se načini da prostor ponovno otvori svoja vrata ljubiteljima pisane riječi.

- Upravni odbor ogranka Matice hrvatske već je prije nekoliko godina raspravljao o budućnosti knjižare te je zaključeno da se Gradu ponudi mogućnost da ogranak organizira rad “Morpurga”. To bi podrazumijevalo kontinuitet rada knjižare tijekom 160 godina od njezina osnivanja, te stoga zaslužuje da njom upravlja jedna od najstarijih kulturnih institucija u Hrvatskoj kao što je Matica hrvatska.

Bilo bi poželjno da se u upravljanju “Morpurgom” pridruži jedna od aktivnih lokalnih udruga u kulturi kao što je primjerice Književni krug. Većina izloženih knjiga u “Morpurgu” bile bi knjige izdane u nakladi Matice hrvatske i Književnog kruga, ali bi mjesta imala i druga vrijedna djela od značaja za hrvatsku kulturu i znanost. O prethodnom uređenju (uz konzervatorski nadzor), vremenu otvaranja, načinu rada i poslovanja te o ostalim tehničkim detaljima odlučilo bi se zajedničkim dogovorom zainteresiranih strana - predstavnika ogranka Matice hrvatske, Književnog kruga i grada - naglašava dr. Joško Kalilić, čelnik MH pod Marjanom.
