Gume su jedini kontakt vozila s cestom, stoga znatno utječu na sigurnost u prometu, vozne značajke i udobnost u vožnji. Pravilna upotreba guma produljuje njihovo trajanje, što znači da se time troši manje prirodnih izvora i stvara se manje otpada. Da biste znali što ekonomičnije postupati sa svojim gumama, pripremili smo jednostavne savjete s pomoću kojih ćete uštedjeti i ujedno pridonijeti zaštiti okoliša.

Održavanje pravilne razine tlaka u gumama znatno utječe na sigurnost, vozne značajke, trošenje guma i potrošnju goriva. Prenizak tlak zraka uzrokuje, naime, pregrijavanje guma i veću potrošnju goriva, a previsok tlak povećava osjetljivost na prepreke na cesti i smanjuje udobnost u vožnji, što u oba slučaja dovodi do bržeg i nepravilnijeg trošenja guma. Tlak u gumama treba provjeravati najmanje jednom mjesečno i prije svakoga duljeg putovanja. Iako mnogi suvremeni automobili imaju elektronički sustav za nadzor tlaka (TPMS), ipak ga treba provjeravati i ručno uz pomoć mjerača tlaka. Preporučene vrijednosti tlaka zraka u gumama za vaše vozilo obično su navedene u uputi za upotrebu vozila.

Uz provjeru tlaka, pregledajte i gazni sloj gume zbog eventualnih znakova istrošenosti ili stranih tijela ukliještenih u gumi. Obratite pozornost na dubinu profila te na stanje srednjih i vanjskih rubova gume. Produljenju vijeka trajanja gume pridonosi i redovita rotacija, dakle zamjena položaja guma između jedne i druge osovine. Naime, gume na prednjim kotačima obično se troše drukčije nego na stražnjima, a zamjena pridonosi ravnomjernijem trošenju i posljedično duljoj upotrebljivosti guma. Ako redovito vozite velikom brzinom, prevozite teške terete ili vozite na dugim relacijama, možda je zbog dodatnih opterećenja potrebna češća rotacija.

Neravnomjerno trošenje gume može također biti znak da su potrebni centriranje i podešavanje optike kotača. Ako tijekom vožnje primijetite da vozilo zanosi u jednu stranu ili se upravljač pri vožnji trese, vrijeme je za uklanjanje nepravilnosti koje u suprotnom djeluju na izdržljivost guma. Na vijek trajanja guma utječu i vozne navike. Naglim ubrzavanjem i kočenjem ili agresivnom vožnjom preko uspornika prometa ("ležećih policajaca") i udarnih rupa na cesti gume će se brže istrošiti i oštetiti, stoga treba težiti smirenijem načinu vožnje.

Uz pravilno ponašanje u vožnji, važan je i pravilan izbor guma u skladu s vremenskim uvjetima. Ljetne i zimske gume namjenski su prilagođene za vožnju u određenim uvjetima. Bez obzira na broj prijeđenih kilometara, nemojte ljeti upotrebljavati zimske gume. One će se po hladnom vremenu pobrinuti za optimalnu izdržljivost, a tijekom viših temperatura brže će se istrošiti i slabije će prianjati, što znatno utječe na dužinu zaustavnog puta. Zbog pregrijavanja pogoršavaju se svojstva gumene smjese i oštećuju se lamele na gaznom sloju, a zbog većeg otpora kotrljanja povećava se i potrošnja goriva.

Gume s najsuvremenijom tehnologijom osiguravaju veći broj prijeđenih kilometara i dulju upotrebljivost. Goodyearovi stručnjaci kao primjer ističu novu ljetnu gumu Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2, koja je na usporednim testovima oduševila visokom izdržljivošću. Na njoj, naime, možete prijeći najmanje 20 posto više kilometara nego na njezinoj najbližoj suparnici na testu, a to ujedno omogućuje dulju upotrebljivost i niže troškove. U Europi se svake godine reciklira ili ponovno upotrijebi više od tri milijuna tona istrošenih guma. Kada, dakle, dođe vrijeme za kupnju novih guma, postupajte odgovorno prema okolišu i svoje stare gume predajte vulkanizeru ili ih odvezite u reciklažno dvorište.

Gume su jedini kontakt vozila s cestom, stoga znatno utječu na sigurnost u prometu, vozne značajke i udobnost u vožnji. Pravilna upotreba guma produljuje njihovo trajanje, što znači da se time troši manje prirodnih izvora i stvara se manje otpada. Da biste znali što ekonomičnije postupati sa svojim gumama, pripremili smo jednostavne savjete s pomoću kojih ćete uštedjeti i ujedno pridonijeti zaštiti okoliša.

Održavanje pravilne razine tlaka u gumama znatno utječe na sigurnost, vozne značajke, trošenje guma i potrošnju goriva. Prenizak tlak zraka uzrokuje, naime, pregrijavanje guma i veću potrošnju goriva, a previsok tlak povećava osjetljivost na prepreke na cesti i smanjuje udobnost u vožnji, što u oba slučaja dovodi do bržeg i nepravilnijeg trošenja guma. Tlak u gumama treba provjeravati najmanje jednom mjesečno i prije svakoga duljeg putovanja. Iako mnogi suvremeni automobili imaju elektronički sustav za nadzor tlaka (TPMS), ipak ga treba provjeravati i ručno uz pomoć mjerača tlaka. Preporučene vrijednosti tlaka zraka u gumama za vaše vozilo obično su navedene u uputi za upotrebu vozila.

Uz provjeru tlaka, pregledajte i gazni sloj gume zbog eventualnih znakova istrošenosti ili stranih tijela ukliještenih u gumi. Obratite pozornost na dubinu profila te na stanje srednjih i vanjskih rubova gume. Produljenju vijeka trajanja gume pridonosi i redovita rotacija, dakle zamjena položaja guma između jedne i druge osovine. Naime, gume na prednjim kotačima obično se troše drukčije nego na stražnjima, a zamjena pridonosi ravnomjernijem trošenju i posljedično duljoj upotrebljivosti guma. Ako redovito vozite velikom brzinom, prevozite teške terete ili vozite na dugim relacijama, možda je zbog dodatnih opterećenja potrebna češća rotacija.

Neravnomjerno trošenje gume može također biti znak da su potrebni centriranje i podešavanje optike kotača. Ako tijekom vožnje primijetite da vozilo zanosi u jednu stranu ili se upravljač pri vožnji trese, vrijeme je za uklanjanje nepravilnosti koje u suprotnom djeluju na izdržljivost guma. Na vijek trajanja guma utječu i vozne navike. Naglim ubrzavanjem i kočenjem ili agresivnom vožnjom preko uspornika prometa ("ležećih policajaca") i udarnih rupa na cesti gume će se brže istrošiti i oštetiti, stoga treba težiti smirenijem načinu vožnje.

Uz pravilno ponašanje u vožnji, važan je i pravilan izbor guma u skladu s vremenskim uvjetima. Ljetne i zimske gume namjenski su prilagođene za vožnju u određenim uvjetima. Bez obzira na broj prijeđenih kilometara, nemojte ljeti upotrebljavati zimske gume. One će se po hladnom vremenu pobrinuti za optimalnu izdržljivost, a tijekom viših temperatura brže će se istrošiti i slabije će prianjati, što znatno utječe na dužinu zaustavnog puta. Zbog pregrijavanja pogoršavaju se svojstva gumene smjese i oštećuju se lamele na gaznom sloju, a zbog većeg otpora kotrljanja povećava se i potrošnja goriva.

Gume s najsuvremenijom tehnologijom osiguravaju veći broj prijeđenih kilometara i dulju upotrebljivost. Goodyearovi stručnjaci kao primjer ističu novu ljetnu gumu Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2, koja je na usporednim testovima oduševila visokom izdržljivošću. Na njoj, naime, možete prijeći najmanje 20 posto više kilometara nego na njezinoj najbližoj suparnici na testu, a to ujedno omogućuje dulju upotrebljivost i niže troškove. U Europi se svake godine reciklira ili ponovno upotrijebi više od tri milijuna tona istrošenih guma. Kada, dakle, dođe vrijeme za kupnju novih guma, postupajte odgovorno prema okolišu i svoje stare gume predajte vulkanizeru ili ih odvezite u reciklažno dvorište.

Pravilna upotreba guma produljuje njihovo trajanje, što znači da se time troši manje prirodnih izvora i stvara se manje otpada. Održavanje pravilne razine tlaka u gumama znatno utječe na sigurnost, vozne značajke, trošenje guma i potrošnju goriva. Prenizak tlak zraka uzrokuje, naime, pregrijavanje guma i veću potrošnju goriva, a previsok tlak povećava osjetljivost na prepreke na cesti i smanjuje udobnost u vožnji, što u oba slučaja dovodi do bržeg i nepravilnijeg trošenja guma.
