Na suhome je svaka guma dobra, a na kiši se poznaju junaci! Razlike među gumama najuočljivije su na vlažnoj i mokroj cesti, pogotovo hladnoj, kad se i događa najviše nesreća.

Ako tada automobil počne proklizavati, teško ga je vratiti u ispravnu putanju. Nastaje iznimno opasna situacija, posebice ako su gume nekvalitetne i potrošene. Opasna je zabluda kako u Dalmaciji nisu potrebne zimske gume, jer je dalmatinski asfalt na mnogim dionicama sklizak, a pogotovo noću i ujutro često je navlažen pothlađen. Naime, ljetne gume gube sposobnost prianjanja kad temperatura padne ispod +7 Celzijevih stupnjeva, a to će u sljedećim mjesecima biti gotovo svakodnevno. Zbog toga je za sigurnost vožnje u hladnijem periodu godine ugradnja kvalitetnih guma, po mogućnosti zimskih, najvažnija pripremna radnja na automobilu, naglašava prometni stručnjak Željko Marušić.

Najopasnije je kad nakon dugotrajnog sušnog razdoblja iznenada padne kiša. Tada se površinski sloj prašine, masnoće i izlučenog vapnenca pomiješa s prvim kapima kiše pretvarajući cestu u opasno klizište. Prianjanje guma na hladan i vlažan asfalt smanjuje se drastično, višestruko u usporedbi s prianjanjem na suhoj cesti. Tada drastično pada sposobnost bočnog vođenja, a zaustavni se put znatno produžuje. Još je gore ako se cesta navlaži djelimice, jer tada lako dolazi do zanošenja automobila. Rizici znatno ovise o kvaliteti, izvedbi, starosti i istrošenju gume.

Svaka guma s vremenom gubi osnovna svojstva, no kvalitetne znatno sporije od nekvalitetnih. Upravo ta razlika, u korist kvalitetnih guma, može biti presudna i spasonosna za hladnijeg vremena. Kupnjom zimskih guma produljuje se vijek ljetnih, a ako ih usto montirate na posebne čelične naplatke. Dodatni se trošak bitno smanjuje. Ali, mnogi pogrešno kalkuliraju. Jer, dovoljno je i manje oštećenje automobila da trošak bude (znatno) veći od troška popravka.

A kalkulacije u slučajevima težih nesreća, posebice kad osim teških oštećenja ima i unesrećenih osoba, ponekad je teško do kraja izračunati. Zbog toga je kupnja kvalitetnih guma najbolja investicija u automobil. Pritom treba redovito provjeravati i podešavati tlak zraka u gumama, na propisane vrijednosti, ovisno o opterećenju. Najbolje prilikom svakog dolijevanja goriva.

Osim hladne kiše i vlažne ceste, u sjevernijim dijelovima Dalmacije može se očekivati mjestimična poledica i snijeg. Rijetko? Da, ali dovoljno je da jedanput dođete u takvu situaciju da zapadnete u (teške) nevolje. Svako produžavanje zaustavnog puta povećava rizik naleta na drugo vozilo, pješaka…

Najveća je opasnost kad kiša padne na hladan asfalt nakon duljeg suhog vremena. Tada površinski sloj prašine i vapnenca izlučenog iz asfaltne mase, na početku kiše, pretvara u sklizak sloj koji izaziva gubitak kontrole automobila, s nepredvidivim posljedicama.

U kišnim uvjetima javlja se i rizik aquaplaninga, posebice na cestama s lošom drenažom (kakve kod nas nisu rijetkost). Tada se ispred gume formira vodeni sloj koji pojačano tlači gaznu površinu. U kritičnim uvjetima hidrodinamičko opterećenje gazećeg sloja gume prerasta vertikalno (pripadajući dio težine automobila), te se ispod gume formira najprije vodeni klin, a potom i neprekinuti vodeni sloj. Taj se fenomen naziva aquaplaning, a ima značenje “skijanja” gume po vodi.

Tada guma više ne prianja na cestu, te se potpuno gubi mogućnost uzdužnog i bočnog vođenja. Automobil se počinje naglo i nekontrolirano zanositi, što izgleda poput “smrtonosnog plesa” na kiši. Upravo zbog toga gazeći sloj gume ima uzdužne i poprečne utore, koji odvode nakupljenu vodu i sprječavaju aquaplaning. Što su utori širi i bolje raspoređeni, odnosno što je guma novija, problemi su manji. Nova guma, pogotovo zimska ili univerzalna smanjuje rizik aquaplaninga.

Najbolje je ljeti voziti na ljetnima, zimi na zimskima, a dobra je opcija i cijele godine koristiti univerzalne gume. Najgore je zimi voziti na ljetnim gumama! Ako to ipak radite, budite svjesni rizika na hladnom i vlažnom asfaltu, posebice na skliskim dalmatinskim dionicama (sa starim, uglačanim asfaltom) te prilagodite brzinu uvjetima. Dakle, vozite sporije, opreznije i s povećanim razmakom od vozila ispred, zaključuje Željko Marušić.

DOT oznaka gume, od važnosti, do pretjerivanja

DOT oznaka pokazuje tjedan i godinu proizvodnje. Kupci traži što novije, a po propisima guma do pet godina smatra se novom i smije prodavati, a upotrebljiva je 10. Predrasude su iz prošlosti kad su gume bile od prirodnog kaučuka i brzo degradirale.

Guma najbolja svojstva dobiva nakon šest mjeseci, u postupku "dozrijevanja" (naknadne polimerizacije) i zadržava godinama. Važnije je skladištenje, jer mnogi prodavači gume drže u nepovoljnim uvjetima. gume kupujte u kvalitetnom servisu, koje ih skladišti u zatvoreno, suho i toplinski izolirano.

Gume otkrivaju kvar

Trošenje gume ukazuje na podešenost ovjesa i ispravnost tlaka u gumama. Pojačano trošenje oba ruba gume ukazuje na vožnju s preniskim tlakom. Neravnomjerno trošenje sredine gume nastaje zbog vožnje s previsokim tlakom. Pojačano trošenje jednog ruba (vanjskog ili unutrašnjeg) na obje gume ukazuje na pogrešan bočni nagib kotača.

Ako se jedan prednji kotač troši s vanjske, a drugi s unutrašnje strane, uzrok je u pogrešno podešenoj usmjerenosti. Ako uočite takve simptome, odvedite automobil u servis, gdje treba najprije izmijeniti istrošene dijelove, pa podesiti geometriju kotača.

Na suhome je svaka guma dobra, a na kiši se poznaju junaci! Razlike među gumama najuočljivije su na vlažnoj i mokroj cesti, pogotovo hladnoj, kad se i događa najviše nesreća.

Ako tada automobil počne proklizavati, teško ga je vratiti u ispravnu putanju. Nastaje iznimno opasna situacija, posebice ako su gume nekvalitetne i potrošene. Opasna je zabluda kako u Dalmaciji nisu potrebne zimske gume, jer je dalmatinski asfalt na mnogim dionicama sklizak, a pogotovo noću i ujutro često je navlažen pothlađen. Naime, ljetne gume gube sposobnost prianjanja kad temperatura padne ispod +7 Celzijevih stupnjeva, a to će u sljedećim mjesecima biti gotovo svakodnevno. Zbog toga je za sigurnost vožnje u hladnijem periodu godine ugradnja kvalitetnih guma, po mogućnosti zimskih, najvažnija pripremna radnja na automobilu, naglašava prometni stručnjak Željko Marušić.

Najopasnije je kad nakon dugotrajnog sušnog razdoblja iznenada padne kiša. Tada se površinski sloj prašine, masnoće i izlučenog vapnenca pomiješa s prvim kapima kiše pretvarajući cestu u opasno klizište. Prianjanje guma na hladan i vlažan asfalt smanjuje se drastično, višestruko u usporedbi s prianjanjem na suhoj cesti. Tada drastično pada sposobnost bočnog vođenja, a zaustavni se put znatno produžuje. Još je gore ako se cesta navlaži djelimice, jer tada lako dolazi do zanošenja automobila. Rizici znatno ovise o kvaliteti, izvedbi, starosti i istrošenju gume.

Svaka guma s vremenom gubi osnovna svojstva, no kvalitetne znatno sporije od nekvalitetnih. Upravo ta razlika, u korist kvalitetnih guma, može biti presudna i spasonosna za hladnijeg vremena. Kupnjom zimskih guma produljuje se vijek ljetnih, a ako ih usto montirate na posebne čelične naplatke. Dodatni se trošak bitno smanjuje. Ali, mnogi pogrešno kalkuliraju. Jer, dovoljno je i manje oštećenje automobila da trošak bude (znatno) veći od troška popravka.

A kalkulacije u slučajevima težih nesreća, posebice kad osim teških oštećenja ima i unesrećenih osoba, ponekad je teško do kraja izračunati. Zbog toga je kupnja kvalitetnih guma najbolja investicija u automobil. Pritom treba redovito provjeravati i podešavati tlak zraka u gumama, na propisane vrijednosti, ovisno o opterećenju. Najbolje prilikom svakog dolijevanja goriva.

Osim hladne kiše i vlažne ceste, u sjevernijim dijelovima Dalmacije može se očekivati mjestimična poledica i snijeg. Rijetko? Da, ali dovoljno je da jedanput dođete u takvu situaciju da zapadnete u (teške) nevolje. Svako produžavanje zaustavnog puta povećava rizik naleta na drugo vozilo, pješaka…

Najveća je opasnost kad kiša padne na hladan asfalt nakon duljeg suhog vremena. Tada površinski sloj prašine i vapnenca izlučenog iz asfaltne mase, na početku kiše, pretvara u sklizak sloj koji izaziva gubitak kontrole automobila, s nepredvidivim posljedicama.

U kišnim uvjetima javlja se i rizik aquaplaninga, posebice na cestama s lošom drenažom (kakve kod nas nisu rijetkost). Tada se ispred gume formira vodeni sloj koji pojačano tlači gaznu površinu. U kritičnim uvjetima hidrodinamičko opterećenje gazećeg sloja gume prerasta vertikalno (pripadajući dio težine automobila), te se ispod gume formira najprije vodeni klin, a potom i neprekinuti vodeni sloj. Taj se fenomen naziva aquaplaning, a ima značenje “skijanja” gume po vodi.

Tada guma više ne prianja na cestu, te se potpuno gubi mogućnost uzdužnog i bočnog vođenja. Automobil se počinje naglo i nekontrolirano zanositi, što izgleda poput “smrtonosnog plesa” na kiši. Upravo zbog toga gazeći sloj gume ima uzdužne i poprečne utore, koji odvode nakupljenu vodu i sprječavaju aquaplaning. Što su utori širi i bolje raspoređeni, odnosno što je guma novija, problemi su manji. Nova guma, pogotovo zimska ili univerzalna smanjuje rizik aquaplaninga.

Najbolje je ljeti voziti na ljetnima, zimi na zimskima, a dobra je opcija i cijele godine koristiti univerzalne gume. Najgore je zimi voziti na ljetnim gumama! Ako to ipak radite, budite svjesni rizika na hladnom i vlažnom asfaltu, posebice na skliskim dalmatinskim dionicama (sa starim, uglačanim asfaltom) te prilagodite brzinu uvjetima. Dakle, vozite sporije, opreznije i s povećanim razmakom od vozila ispred, zaključuje Željko Marušić.

DOT oznaka gume, od važnosti, do pretjerivanja

DOT oznaka pokazuje tjedan i godinu proizvodnje. Kupci traži što novije, a po propisima guma do pet godina smatra se novom i smije prodavati, a upotrebljiva je 10. Predrasude su iz prošlosti kad su gume bile od prirodnog kaučuka i brzo degradirale.

Guma najbolja svojstva dobiva nakon šest mjeseci, u postupku "dozrijevanja" (naknadne polimerizacije) i zadržava godinama. Važnije je skladištenje, jer mnogi prodavači gume drže u nepovoljnim uvjetima. gume kupujte u kvalitetnom servisu, koje ih skladišti u zatvoreno, suho i toplinski izolirano.

Gume otkrivaju kvar

Trošenje gume ukazuje na podešenost ovjesa i ispravnost tlaka u gumama. Pojačano trošenje oba ruba gume ukazuje na vožnju s preniskim tlakom. Neravnomjerno trošenje sredine gume nastaje zbog vožnje s previsokim tlakom. Pojačano trošenje jednog ruba (vanjskog ili unutrašnjeg) na obje gume ukazuje na pogrešan bočni nagib kotača.

Ako se jedan prednji kotač troši s vanjske, a drugi s unutrašnje strane, uzrok je u pogrešno podešenoj usmjerenosti. Ako uočite takve simptome, odvedite automobil u servis, gdje treba najprije izmijeniti istrošene dijelove, pa podesiti geometriju kotača.
