Reshma Qureshi je 19-godišnja Indijka koja je prošli četvrtak bila glavna zvijezda New York Fashion Weeka. I nekoliko dana nakon što je otvorila reviju modne dizajnerice Archane Kochhar, ova djevojka je glavna tema stranih medija, prenosi Jutarnji.
Razlog tome je što je Reshma prije dvije godine bila žrtva napada sumpornom kiselinom nakon što su nju i njezinu sestru napali šogor i dvojica 17-godišnjaka jer je njezina sestra odlučila ostaviti svog supruga nakon što ju je zlostavljao. Reshma je tada pokušavala obraniti svoju sestru, a na kraju su u ovom okrutnom napadu stradale obje, piše Daily Mail.
Djevojke su poslije napada sljedećih nekoliko sati u agoniji ležale na cesti jer nitko nije pozvao Hitnu pomoć.
Kao posljedica napada Reshmi su ostali brojni ožiljci na licu, a izgubila je i jedno oko.
Pistom je odlučila prošetati kako bi poslala poruku hrabrosti drugim ženama koje su u njezinoj zemlji žrtve sličnih napada.
- Ovaj hod po pisti za mene ima veliko značenje jer postoji još mnogo djevojaka koje su u istoj situaciji kao i ja, a ovaj moj potez će im zasigurno dati hrabrosti da krenu dalje. Ni u najluđim snovima nisam sanjala da će mi se dogoditi ovakvo nešto - rekla je Reshma iskreno.
Dodala je i da nikad nije mislila da će otići u inozemstvo, a kamoli da će prošetati modnom pistom u New Yorku. Nakon napada je prošla kroz brojne operacije, a ne skriva i da je razmišljala o samoubojstvu, upoznala je osnivača skupine 'Make Love Not Scars' koja pomaže ljudima koji su prošli kroz slične situacije kao i ona.

Reshma Qureshi je 19-godišnja Indijka koja je prošli četvrtak bila glavna zvijezda New York Fashion Weeka. I nekoliko dana nakon što je otvorila reviju modne dizajnerice Archane Kochhar, ova djevojka je glavna tema stranih medija, prenosi Jutarnji.
Razlog tome je što je Reshma prije dvije godine bila žrtva napada sumpornom kiselinom nakon što su nju i njezinu sestru napali šogor i dvojica 17-godišnjaka jer je njezina sestra odlučila ostaviti svog supruga nakon što ju je zlostavljao. Reshma je tada pokušavala obraniti svoju sestru, a na kraju su u ovom okrutnom napadu stradale obje, piše Daily Mail.
Djevojke su poslije napada sljedećih nekoliko sati u agoniji ležale na cesti jer nitko nije pozvao Hitnu pomoć.
Kao posljedica napada Reshmi su ostali brojni ožiljci na licu, a izgubila je i jedno oko.
Pistom je odlučila prošetati kako bi poslala poruku hrabrosti drugim ženama koje su u njezinoj zemlji žrtve sličnih napada.
- Ovaj hod po pisti za mene ima veliko značenje jer postoji još mnogo djevojaka koje su u istoj situaciji kao i ja, a ovaj moj potez će im zasigurno dati hrabrosti da krenu dalje. Ni u najluđim snovima nisam sanjala da će mi se dogoditi ovakvo nešto - rekla je Reshma iskreno.
Dodala je i da nikad nije mislila da će otići u inozemstvo, a kamoli da će prošetati modnom pistom u New Yorku. Nakon napada je prošla kroz brojne operacije, a ne skriva i da je razmišljala o samoubojstvu, upoznala je osnivača skupine 'Make Love Not Scars' koja pomaže ljudima koji su prošli kroz slične situacije kao i ona.
- Nisam mogla vjerovati da mi se ovo događa. Jako sam sretna - komentirala je Reshma svoje putovanje.
