Crna rupa čija je masa 20 milijuna puta veća od našeg Sunca juri svemirom ostavljajući za sobom 200.000 svjetlosnih godina dugi trag novorođenih zvijezda, što je dvostruko više od promjera naše galaksije Mliječna staza, ustvrdili su astrofizičari sa Sveučilišta Yalea u studiji objavljenoj u Astrophysical Journal Letters, piše Jutarnji.hr.

"Nevidljivo čudovište je na slobodi, juri međugalaktičkim prostorom tako brzo da bi, da je u našem Sunčevom sustavu, moglo putovati od Zemlje do Mjeseca za 14 minuta", objavila je NASA.

Upravo je NASA-in legendarni svemirski teleskop Hubble (lansiran u travnju 1991. godine) slučajno zapazio "odbjeglu crnu rupu" koja iza sebe ostavlja zvjezdani trag.

- Mislimo da vidimo trag iza crne rupe na kojemu se plin hladi i može formirati zvijezde. Dakle, gledamo stvaranje zvijezda koje prate crnu rupu - rekao je za NASA-in portal prof. Pieter van Dokkum sa Sveučilišta Yale koji je vodio istraživanje.

Znanstvenici smatraju da je čudovišna crna rupa "pobjegla" nakon što su se dvije galaksije spojile prije otprilike 50 milijuna godina, okupljajući supermasivne crne rupe u svojim središtima. Potom, kada se pojavila treća galaksija s vlastitom crnom rupom, sve tri su se pomiješale, što je dovelo do stvaranja kaotične i nestabilne konfiguracije.

Jedna od crnih rupa vjerojatno je tada dobila impuls od druge dvije i bila je izbačena iz domaćinske galaksije. Dok je odbjegla crna rupa poletjela u jednom smjeru, dvije preostale su krenule u drugom smjeru.

Iako se može pretpostaviti da crna rupa guta zvijezde ispred sebe, NASA-in svemirski teleskop Hubble pokazuje da to nije slučaj. Umjesto toga, crna rupa, koja je od Zemlje udaljena 7,5 milijardi svjetlosnih godina, ulazi u plin ispred sebe, potičući stvaranje zvijezda, piše Jutarnji.hr.

"Umjesto da guta zvijezde ispred sebe, poput kozmičkog Pac-Mana, brza crna rupa ulazi u plin ispred sebe kako bi pokrenula stvaranje novih zvijezda duž uskog koridora", navodi NASA.

Crne rupe su tijela koja nastaju urušavanjem materije u velikim zvijezdama, a imaju toliko snažnu gravitaciju da ništa što im se dovoljno približi više ne može pobjeći od njih, uključujući svjetlost. Interes za taj svemirski fenomen u javnosti velikim se dijelom veže uz legendarnog britanskog fizičara Stephena Hawkinga (1942.-2018.) koji se u svojim teorijskim radovima iz kozmologije ponajviše bavio crnim rupama.

Crna rupa čija je masa 20 milijuna puta veća od našeg Sunca juri svemirom ostavljajući za sobom 200.000 svjetlosnih godina dugi trag novorođenih zvijezda, što je dvostruko više od promjera naše galaksije Mliječna staza, ustvrdili su astrofizičari sa Sveučilišta Yalea u studiji objavljenoj u Astrophysical Journal Letters, piše Jutarnji.hr.

"Nevidljivo čudovište je na slobodi, juri međugalaktičkim prostorom tako brzo da bi, da je u našem Sunčevom sustavu, moglo putovati od Zemlje do Mjeseca za 14 minuta", objavila je NASA.

Upravo je NASA-in legendarni svemirski teleskop Hubble (lansiran u travnju 1991. godine) slučajno zapazio "odbjeglu crnu rupu" koja iza sebe ostavlja zvjezdani trag.

- Mislimo da vidimo trag iza crne rupe na kojemu se plin hladi i može formirati zvijezde. Dakle, gledamo stvaranje zvijezda koje prate crnu rupu - rekao je za NASA-in portal prof. Pieter van Dokkum sa Sveučilišta Yale koji je vodio istraživanje.

Znanstvenici smatraju da je čudovišna crna rupa "pobjegla" nakon što su se dvije galaksije spojile prije otprilike 50 milijuna godina, okupljajući supermasivne crne rupe u svojim središtima. Potom, kada se pojavila treća galaksija s vlastitom crnom rupom, sve tri su se pomiješale, što je dovelo do stvaranja kaotične i nestabilne konfiguracije.

Jedna od crnih rupa vjerojatno je tada dobila impuls od druge dvije i bila je izbačena iz domaćinske galaksije. Dok je odbjegla crna rupa poletjela u jednom smjeru, dvije preostale su krenule u drugom smjeru.

Iako se može pretpostaviti da crna rupa guta zvijezde ispred sebe, NASA-in svemirski teleskop Hubble pokazuje da to nije slučaj. Umjesto toga, crna rupa, koja je od Zemlje udaljena 7,5 milijardi svjetlosnih godina, ulazi u plin ispred sebe, potičući stvaranje zvijezda, piše Jutarnji.hr.

"Umjesto da guta zvijezde ispred sebe, poput kozmičkog Pac-Mana, brza crna rupa ulazi u plin ispred sebe kako bi pokrenula stvaranje novih zvijezda duž uskog koridora", navodi NASA.

Crne rupe su tijela koja nastaju urušavanjem materije u velikim zvijezdama, a imaju toliko snažnu gravitaciju da ništa što im se dovoljno približi više ne može pobjeći od njih, uključujući svjetlost. Interes za taj svemirski fenomen u javnosti velikim se dijelom veže uz legendarnog britanskog fizičara Stephena Hawkinga (1942.-2018.) koji se u svojim teorijskim radovima iz kozmologije ponajviše bavio crnim rupama.

Crna rupa čija je masa 20 milijuna puta veća od našeg Sunca juri svemirom ostavljajući za sobom 200.000 svjetlosnih godina dugi trag novorođenih zvijezda, što je dvostruko više od promjera naše galaksije Mliječna staza, ustvrdili su astrofizičari sa Sveučilišta Yalea u studiji objavljenoj u Astrophysical Journal Letters, piše Jutarnji.hr.

"Nevidljivo čudovište je na slobodi, juri međugalaktičkim prostorom tako brzo da bi, da je u našem Sunčevom sustavu, moglo putovati od Zemlje do Mjeseca za 14 minuta", objavila je NASA.

Upravo je NASA-in legendarni svemirski teleskop Hubble (lansiran u travnju 1991. godine) slučajno zapazio "odbjeglu crnu rupu" koja iza sebe ostavlja zvjezdani trag.

- Mislimo da vidimo trag iza crne rupe na kojemu se plin hladi i može formirati zvijezd...
