Situacija na Istočnom bojištu Prvog svjetskog rata bila je u ožujku 1915. godine nepovoljna za Rusko Carstvo. Njemačka ofenziva je opkolila rusku vojsku u Galiciji (danas u zapadnoj Ukrajini) i Poljskoj, piše Russia Beyond.
Odatle je u rusku prijestolnicu upućeno pismo naslovljeno "Osobno za cara", u kojem su izloženi detalji projekta novog oružja.
Pismo je nosilo naslov "Projekt stroja za razbijanje neprijateljskih utvrda ili epicikloide 'Oboj'.

Bio je to ambiciozan plan za izgradnju stroja visine 605 i širine 960 metara, sposobnog "iskorijeniti" neprijatelja na bojnom polju.
"Uz pomoć velikog, oklopljenog, iznutra motoriziranog valjka ili rotirajuće preše moći ćemo pregaziti neprijatelja. To je suština mog projekta", napisao je dizajner Ivan Semčihin caru Nikolaju II.
Semčihin je predložio da se izgradi divovski metalni "grad" ovalnog oblika koji će se kotrljati i gaziti neprijatelja. Futurističko jaje bi bilo toliko veliko da bi unutra bili smješteni teška artiljerija, radionice, prostori za spavanje, kanalizacijski i ventilacijski sustav, pa čak i telefonske mreže.
Prema zamisli dizajnera, epicikloida ne bi imala kotače u klasičnom smislu te riječi. Umjesto toga bi je pokretao sustav parnih strojeva, klatana i dinama dotad neviđene snage, omogućujući epicikloidi da se kreće kroz polja i šume brzinom do 321 km/h, uništavajući sve na svom putu.

"Ova će se kotrljajuća tvrđava visoka stotine metara moći kretati dolinama i visinama. Moći će se kotrljati po brdima, šumama, rijekama, močvarama, gradovima i selima... Projekt 'Oboj' će biti imun na topove, metke, mine, rovove, protutenkovske jame, ograde od bodljikave žice, bombe i zapaljive materijale. Moći će uništiti sve tipove vojne opreme koja trenutno postoji", napisao je Semčihin caru.
Međutim, ruska vojska 1915. nije čak imala niti dovoljno streljiva za oružje, pa je izgradnja divovske sfere-razarača ostavljena za neke bolje dane.
"Oboj" do danas ostaje jedan od najfuturističkijih i najnevjerojatnijih vojnih projekata ikad osmišljenih, piše Russia Beyond.

Odatle je u rusku prijestolnicu upućeno pismo naslovljeno "Osobno za cara", u kojem su izloženi detalji projekta novog oružja.
Pismo je nosilo naslov "Projekt stroja za razbijanje neprijateljskih utvrda ili epicikloide 'Oboj'.

Bio je to ambiciozan plan za izgradnju stroja visine 605 i širine 960 metara, sposobnog "iskorijeniti" neprijatelja na bojnom polju.
"Uz pomoć velikog, oklopljenog, iznutra motoriziranog valjka ili rotirajuće preše moći ćemo pregaziti neprijatelja. To je suština mog projekta", napisao je dizajner Ivan Semčihin caru Nikolaju II.
Semčihin je predložio da se izgradi divovski metalni "grad" ovalnog oblika koji će se kotrljati i gaziti neprijatelja. Futurističko jaje bi bilo toliko veliko da bi unutra bili smješteni teška artiljerija, radionice, prostori za spavanje, kanalizacijski i ventilacijski sustav, pa čak i telefonske mreže.
Prema zamisli dizajnera, epicikloida ne bi imala kotače u klasičnom smislu te riječi. Umjesto toga bi je pokretao sustav parnih strojeva, klatana i dinama dotad neviđene snage, omogućujući epicikloidi da se kreće kroz polja i šume brzinom do 321 km/h, uništavajući sve na svom putu.

Situacija na Istočnom bojištu Prvog svjetskog rata bila je u ožujku 1915. godine nepovoljna za Rusko Carstvo. Njemačka ofenziva je opkolila rusku vojsku u Galiciji (danas u zapadnoj Ukrajini) i Poljskoj, piše Russia Beyond.
Odatle je u rusku prijestolnicu upućeno pismo naslovljeno "Osobno za cara", u kojem su izloženi detalji projekta novog oružja.
Pismo je nosilo naslov "Projekt stroja za razbijanje neprijateljskih utvrda ili epicikloide 'Oboj'.
Bio je to ambiciozan plan za izgradnju stroja visine 605 i širine 960 metara, sposobnog "iskorijeniti" neprijatelja na bojnom polju.
