Pokušavate skinuti nekoliko kila viška, pokušavate više vježbati, manje jesti i svakakao - kakvo vam preporučuju i liječnici i nutricionisti i 'zdrava pamet' - temeljito proučiti nutritivne sastojke hrane pribilježene na pakiranju. Pritom uopće ne razmišljate o tome da vrag nije u podacima s deklaracije nego - u samom pakiranju!

Novo istraživanje. naime, objavljeno u časopisu Environmental Science & Technolog,y sugerira da je krivac koji vam možda ometa planove mršavljenja upravo pakiranje.

Istraživači s Norveškog sveučilišta znanosti i tehnologije (NTNU) primijetili su da su dvije kemikalije, sadržane u plastičnim proizvodima - bisfenoli i ftalati - u prethodnim istraživanjima pokazale da ometaju metabolizam na način koji potiče pretilost.

No, dodaju u ovom istraživanju, bisfenoli i fralati samo su mali dio spojeva koji se nalaze u plastici.

Kako bi razumjeli mogu li i drugi spojevi i igrati ulogu u metaboličkim poremećajima koji vode ka debljanju, pogledali su 34 svakodnevna proizvoda – uključujući posude za jogurt, kuhinjske spužve i boce za piće – sa 629 jedinstvenih kemijskih spojeva. Otkrili su njih 11 koji mogu utjecati na metabolizam.

"Svaki obični plastični proizvod može imati mješavinu tvari koje mogu doprinijeti prekomjernoj težini ili dovesti do pretilosti", kaže dr. sc. Martin Wagner, izvanredni profesor na Odjelu za biologiju NTNU-a, za portal Eat This, Not That!, te dodaje da se "kemikalije ne zadržavaju uvijek u materijalu, već mogu iscuriti u hranu i piće, gdje bi ih se potom moglo konzumirati."

U kojoj mjeri plastična ambalaža može doprinijeti debljanju nije poznato, kaže Wagner, ali misli da je, u najmanju ruku, korisno ograničiti upotrebu plastike kad god je to moguće, posebno onu koja sadrži ta dva glavna krivca, bisfenole i ftalate. U nedavnoj studiji, čiji su rezultati objavljeni u Journal of Exposure Science & Environmental Epidemiology, uzorci brze hrane iz šest lanaca restorana otkrili su da su mnogi omoti i spremnici sadržavali ftalate, s najvećim koncentracijama u mesnim proizvodima poput burritosa i hamburgera. Osim toga, nije samo hrana ono što bi moglo biti problem. Prema Centrima za kontrolu bolesti (CDC), te se kemikalije koriste u stotinama proizvoda, uključujući predmete za osobnu njegu poput šampona i sapuna. Iako možda nije moguće u potpunosti izbjeći ove kemikalije, svjesnost o njima mogla bi pomoći da se barem malo smanji njihova količina u organizmu, kaže Wagner.

"To bi vašem metabolizmu moglo dati odmor koji mu je potreban, a možda čak i spriječiti povećanje tjelesne težine."

Bisfenol A kemikalija koja se u velikim količinama dodaje u plastiku kako bi plastični proizvod bio čvršći. Osim u ambalaži za hranu i piće, nalazi se i u mnogim drugim plastičnim proizvodima. Davno je utvrđeno da ova kemikalija u ljudskom tijelu djeluje kao umjetni estrogen, remeteći endokrini sustav. Osim s pretilošću, bisfenol se povezuje i s oštećenjem jetre, nekoliko vrsta karcinoma, neplodnošću, dijabetesom... Mnoge države zabranile su korištenje bisfenola, ali samo u posuđu, ambalaži i slično za hranu namijenjenu djeci, li ne i onoj za odrasle. Preporuka je ne koristiti plastične čaše, tanjure, pribor za jelo, posude za čuvanje hrane i drugo.

Nasuprot bisfenolu, ftalati su kemijski spojevi koji se u proizvodnji plastike koriste za njeno omekšavanje. Osnovna su komponenta svih plastičnih ambalaža; koriste se, među ostalim, u proizvodnji dječjih igračaka, kozmetike,

lakova za nokte, puderima, šamponima i kupkama za bebe, maskarama, parfemima... Višestruko su štetni za ljudski organizam, među ostalim i kao hormonski disruptori (čemu je jedna od posljedica o kojoj se često piše i govori - feminiziranje muškaraca).

Pokušavate skinuti nekoliko kila viška, pokušavate više vježbati, manje jesti i svakakao - kakvo vam preporučuju i liječnici i nutricionisti i 'zdrava pamet' - temeljito proučiti nutritivne sastojke hrane pribilježene na pakiranju. Pritom uopće ne razmišljate o tome da vrag nije u podacima s deklaracije nego - u samom pakiranju!

Novo istraživanje. naime, objavljeno u časopisu Environmental Science & Technolog,y sugerira da je krivac koji vam možda ometa planove mršavljenja upravo pakiranje.

Istraživači s Norveškog sveučilišta znanosti i tehnologije (NTNU) primijetili su da su dvije kemikalije, sadržane u plastičnim proizvodima - bisfenoli i ftalati - u prethodnim istraživanjima pokazale da ometaju metabolizam na način koji potiče pretilost.

No, dodaju u ovom istraživanju, bisfenoli i fralati samo su mali dio spojeva koji se nalaze u plastici.

Kako bi razumjeli mogu li i drugi spojevi i igrati ulogu u metaboličkim poremećajima koji vode ka debljanju, pogledali su 34 svakodnevna proizvoda – uključujući posude za jogurt, kuhinjske spužve i boce za piće – sa 629 jedinstvenih kemijskih spojeva. Otkrili su njih 11 koji mogu utjecati na metabolizam.

"Svaki obični plastični proizvod može imati mješavinu tvari koje mogu doprinijeti prekomjernoj težini ili dovesti do pretilosti", kaže dr. sc. Martin Wagner, izvanredni profesor na Odjelu za biologiju NTNU-a, za portal Eat This, Not That!, te dodaje da se "kemikalije ne zadržavaju uvijek u materijalu, već mogu iscuriti u hranu i piće, gdje bi ih se potom moglo konzumirati."

U kojoj mjeri plastična ambalaža može doprinijeti debljanju nije poznato, kaže Wagner, ali misli da je, u najmanju ruku, korisno ograničiti upotrebu plastike kad god je to moguće, posebno onu koja sadrži ta dva glavna krivca, bisfenole i ftalate. U nedavnoj studiji, čiji su rezultati objavljeni u Journal of Exposure Science & Environmental Epidemiology, uzorci brze hrane iz šest lanaca restorana otkrili su da su mnogi omoti i spremnici sadržavali ftalate, s najvećim koncentracijama u mesnim proizvodima poput burritosa i hamburgera. Osim toga, nije samo hrana ono što bi moglo biti problem. Prema Centrima za kontrolu bolesti (CDC), te se kemikalije koriste u stotinama proizvoda, uključujući predmete za osobnu njegu poput šampona i sapuna. Iako možda nije moguće u potpunosti izbjeći ove kemikalije, svjesnost o njima mogla bi pomoći da se barem malo smanji njihova količina u organizmu, kaže Wagner.

"To bi vašem metabolizmu moglo dati odmor koji mu je potreban, a možda čak i spriječiti povećanje tjelesne težine."

Bisfenol A kemikalija koja se u velikim količinama dodaje u plastiku kako bi plastični proizvod bio čvršći. Osim u ambalaži za hranu i piće, nalazi se i u mnogim drugim plastičnim proizvodima. Davno je utvrđeno da ova kemikalija u ljudskom tijelu djeluje kao umjetni estrogen, remeteći endokrini sustav. Osim s pretilošću, bisfenol se povezuje i s oštećenjem jetre, nekoliko vrsta karcinoma, neplodnošću, dijabetesom... Mnoge države zabranile su korištenje bisfenola, ali samo u posuđu, ambalaži i slično za hranu namijenjenu djeci, li ne i onoj za odrasle. Preporuka je ne koristiti plastične čaše, tanjure, pribor za jelo, posude za čuvanje hrane i drugo.

Nasuprot bisfenolu, ftalati su kemijski spojevi koji se u proizvodnji plastike koriste za njeno omekšavanje. Osnovna su komponenta svih plastičnih ambalaža; koriste se, među ostalim, u proizvodnji dječjih igračaka, kozmetike,

lakova za nokte, puderima, šamponima i kupkama za bebe, maskarama, parfemima... Višestruko su štetni za ljudski organizam, među ostalim i kao hormonski disruptori (čemu je jedna od posljedica o kojoj se često piše i govori - feminiziranje muškaraca).

Pokušavate skinuti nekoliko kila viška, pokušavate više vježbati, manje jesti i svakakao - kakvo vam preporučuju i liječnici i nutricionisti i 'zdrava pamet' - temeljito proučiti nutritivne sastojke hrane pribilježene na pakiranju. Pritom uopće ne razmišljate o tome da vrag nije u podacima s deklaracije nego - u samom pakiranju!

Novo istraživanje. naime, objavljeno u časopisu Environmental Science & Technolog,y sugerira da je krivac koji vam možda ometa planove mršavljenja upravo pakiranje.

Istraživači s Norveškog sveučilišta znanosti i tehnologije (NTNU) primijetili su da su dvije kemikalije, sadržane u plastičnim proizvodima - bisfenoli i ftalati - u prethodnim istraživanjima pokazale da ometaju metabolizam na način koji potiče pretilost.
