Diljem Belgije policija svake godine zabilježi 30.000 krađa bicikala. "Stvarni broj tih krađa očito je mnogo veći, s obzirom da ne prijavljuju sve žrtve krađu", navodi se u priopćenju ureda ministra pravosuđa Paula Van Tigchelta.

Tehnika bicikla s mamcima mogla bi pridonijeti boljem lovu na lopove. Kada se ovaj anonimni policijski bicikl opremljen GPS lokatorom ukrade i putuje, policija je obaviještena i može slijediti put dvokotača. Iako je metoda već testirana i urodila plodom, u praksi se još uvijek suočava s pravnim problemom.

"Upotreba ovih bicikala tehnički je bila stvar posebnih istraživačkih metoda (SPM). Međutim, one se mogu provesti samo u slučaju naznaka organiziranog kriminala, što često nije slučaj s krađom bicikala." Sustav je stoga bio vrlo restriktivan za svakodnevne krađe.

Od početka ove godine, nakon nacrta zakona ministra pravosuđa, pravni okvir je prilagođen. Ovom tehnikom agencije za provedbu zakona nadaju se presresti lopove na djelu, što je djelo kažnjivo trenutnom kaznom do 400 eura.

"Bicikl s mamcima omogućuje nam praćenje, identifikaciju i kažnjavanje kradljivaca bicikala, bilo da se radi o povremenim lopovima ili organiziranim bandama. Stoga pozivam lokalne vlasti i policijske zone da ulažu u bicikle s mamcima kako bismo mogli bolje uhvatiti te lopove", rekao je ministar koji je u četvrtak u Gentu došao predstaviti novi sustav.

Diljem Belgije policija svake godine zabilježi 30.000 krađa bicikala. "Stvarni broj tih krađa očito je mnogo veći, s obzirom da ne prijavljuju sve žrtve krađu", navodi se u priopćenju ureda ministra pravosuđa Paula Van Tigchelta.

Tehnika bicikla s mamcima mogla bi pridonijeti boljem lovu na lopove. Kada se ovaj anonimni policijski bicikl opremljen GPS lokatorom ukrade i putuje, policija je obaviještena i može slijediti put dvokotača. Iako je metoda već testirana i urodila plodom, u praksi se još uvijek suočava s pravnim problemom.

"Upotreba ovih bicikala tehnički je bila stvar posebnih istraživačkih metoda (SPM). Međutim, one se mogu provesti samo u slučaju naznaka organiziranog kriminala, što često nije slučaj s krađom bicikala." Sustav je stoga bio vrlo restriktivan za svakodnevne krađe.

Od početka ove godine, nakon nacrta zakona ministra pravosuđa, pravni okvir je prilagođen. Ovom tehnikom agencije za provedbu zakona nadaju se presresti lopove na djelu, što je djelo kažnjivo trenutnom kaznom do 400 eura.

"Bicikl s mamcima omogućuje nam praćenje, identifikaciju i kažnjavanje kradljivaca bicikala, bilo da se radi o povremenim lopovima ili organiziranim bandama. Stoga pozivam lokalne vlasti i policijske zone da ulažu u bicikle s mamcima kako bismo mogli bolje uhvatiti te lopove", rekao je ministar koji je u četvrtak u Gentu došao predstaviti novi sustav.
