"Jednostavno životno pravilo je: ako nešto baš ne morate čistiti - nemojte ni čistiti".

Poznata modna dizajnerica Stella McCartney rekla je to u intervjuu za 'Observer', dodajući da je ovaj savjet čula dok je radila za krojače u čuvenoj londonskoj ulici Savile Row.

McCartney kaže da je "pravilo" pustiti "prljavštinu da se osuši, a zatim je iščetkati".

Nešto u ovoj rečenici zaintrigiralo je čitatelje. Mnogi perilicu rublja uključuju i po nekoliko puta tjedno.

Ali, je li Stella McCarney u pravu? Bismo li trebali što više izbjegavati pranje odjeće?

Ubijanje planeta nit po nit

Dizajnerica je i ranije govorila o rijetkom pranju odjeće. Ona zapravo već dugo zagovara ideju da perilice treba koristiti što rjeđe - kako zbog dugovječnosti odjeće, tako i zbog utjecaja koji pranje ima na okolinu.

Laura Diaz Sanchez iz Udruge 'Plastic Soup' kaže da je dizajnerica u pravu, pogotovo kad je u pitanju odjeća koja sadrži više sintetike, poput poliestera i akrila.

- Svaki put kada peremo odjeću, u prosjeku devet milijuna mikro plastičnih vlakana završi u našoj životnoj sredini - rekla je ona za BBC News.

- Na ovo utječe način na koji peremo odjeću, kao i način na koji se ona radi. Ali što je više peremo, više mikrovlakana se oslobađa - rekla je ona.

Preporučuje se i da se odjeća pere na nižoj temperaturi uz korištenje tekućeg deterdženta.

- Kad se koristi prašak, veće je trenje između komada odjeće te se oslobađa više štetnih vlakana. Tekućina je glatka. Što je manje trenja, manje vlakana se oslobađa - objasnila je McCartney.

Iz istog razloga ne treba ni preopterećivati, odnosno pretrpavati perilicu - manje odjeće u bubnju znači manje trenja.

Kako brinuti o odjeći

Nisu problem samo vlakna. Prečesto pranje skraćuje "životni vijek" odjeće, što znači da je veća vjerojatnost da ćete kupiti nešto novo.

Profesor Andrew Groves, voditelj tečaja modnog dizajna na Sveučilištu u britanskom Westminsteru, rekao je za BBC da se trenjem čiste mrlje, ali i kvari oblik te mijenja boja odjeće.

- U ormaru su mi i dalje stvari koje imam već nekoliko desetljeća i koje izgledaju potpuno novo, jednostavno zato što znam kako brinuti o njima - kaže on.

To se prije svega odnosi na donje rublje. McCartney je izjavila za 'Observer' da "ne bi svaki dan mijenjala grudnjak". S ovim se slaže dizajnerica donjeg rublja Naomi De Haan.

Ona klijentima savjetuje da grudnjak operu nakon što su ga nosile pet puta, i to ručno, u mlakoj vodi, blagim sredstvom poput šampona za bebe.

Ona prodaje luksuznije rublje, ali kaže da bi na isti način trebalo prati i druge grudnjake, osim sportskih, koje treba prati češće.

- Pranjem u perilici mogu se uništiti stvari poput delikatne čipke ili svile - upozorila je ona.

"Žice mogu iskočiti, boje izblijediti, a košarice se iskriviti"

Onima koji apsolutno moraju donje rublje prati u perilici, De Haan savetuje da grudnjake saviju tako da smanje rizik da se dijelovi zakače za druge komade ili zapletu, kao i da koriste posebne vrećice namijenjene pranju donjeg rublja.

- Nemojte prati u pretoploj vodi, popravite im oblik nakon što ih izvadite iz perilice i prostrite ih da se osuše ili ih ostavite da se suše na ravnoj površini - rekla je ona.

I najvažnija napomena, grudnjake nikad nemojte sušiti u sušilici. 

Ostavite traperice na miru

Sarah Clayton​, koja vodi kampanju 'Volite svoju odjeću' dobrotvorne organizacije za zaštitu životne sredine 'Wrap', kaže da ni traperice ne treba prati često i da ih je bolje jednostavno prozračiti nakon nošenja.

- Ako je na njima mrlja, pokušajte je očistiti vodom umjesto da perete cijele hlače - savjetuje Clayton.

​Provjetravati traperice umjesto pranja možda ne zvuči baš privlačno, ali čovjek koji se u njih stvarno razumije zdušno zagovara ovu metodu - Chip Bergh, direktor Levisa.

Ljudi su bili pomalo iznenađeni kad je Berg 2014. godine ponosno izjavio da traperice koje nosi nikad nije oprao.

Pet godina kasnije, novinarima CNN-a rekao je da još uvijek nisu nijednom prane, uprkos činjenici da su dotad navršile deset godina.

Profesor Groves s tim je stavom suglasan te predlaže držanje jeansa u zamrzivaču kako bi hladnoća ubila mikrobe. 

- To može djelovati čudno, posebno za traperice koje se nose svaki dan, ali to uglavnom rade oni koji ne žele da im stvari blijede - pojasnio je Groves.

Ovo bi, dodaje, trebalo primijeniti i na ostalu odjeću - ne samo na onu od jeansa, prenosi BBC.

"Jednostavno životno pravilo je: ako nešto baš ne morate čistiti - nemojte ni čistiti".

Poznata modna dizajnerica Stella McCartney rekla je to u intervjuu za 'Observer', dodajući da je ovaj savjet čula dok je radila za krojače u čuvenoj londonskoj ulici Savile Row.

McCartney kaže da je "pravilo" pustiti "prljavštinu da se osuši, a zatim je iščetkati".

Nešto u ovoj rečenici zaintrigiralo je čitatelje. Mnogi perilicu rublja uključuju i po nekoliko puta tjedno.

Ali, je li Stella McCarney u pravu? Bismo li trebali što više izbjegavati pranje odjeće?

Ubijanje planeta nit po nit

Dizajnerica je i ranije govorila o rijetkom pranju odjeće. Ona zapravo već dugo zagovara ideju da perilice treba koristiti što rjeđe - kako zbog dugovječnosti odjeće, tako i zbog utjecaja koji pranje ima na okolinu.

Laura Diaz Sanchez iz Udruge 'Plastic Soup' kaže da je dizajnerica u pravu, pogotovo kad je u pitanju odjeća koja sadrži više sintetike, poput poliestera i akrila.

- Svaki put kada peremo odjeću, u prosjeku devet milijuna mikro plastičnih vlakana završi u našoj životnoj sredini - rekla je ona za BBC News.

- Na ovo utječe način na koji peremo odjeću, kao i način na koji se ona radi. Ali što je više peremo, više mikrovlakana se oslobađa - rekla je ona.

Preporučuje se i da se odjeća pere na nižoj temperaturi uz korištenje tekućeg deterdženta.

- Kad se koristi prašak, veće je trenje između komada odjeće te se oslobađa više štetnih vlakana. Tekućina je glatka. Što je manje trenja, manje vlakana se oslobađa - objasnila je McCartney.

Iz istog razloga ne treba ni preopterećivati, odnosno pretrpavati perilicu - manje odjeće u bubnju znači manje trenja.

Kako brinuti o odjeći

Nisu problem samo vlakna. Prečesto pranje skraćuje "životni vijek" odjeće, što znači da je veća vjerojatnost da ćete kupiti nešto novo.

Profesor Andrew Groves, voditelj tečaja modnog dizajna na Sveučilištu u britanskom Westminsteru, rekao je za BBC da se trenjem čiste mrlje, ali i kvari oblik te mijenja boja odjeće.

- U ormaru su mi i dalje stvari koje imam već nekoliko desetljeća i koje izgledaju potpuno novo, jednostavno zato što znam kako brinuti o njima - kaže on.

To se prije svega odnosi na donje rublje. McCartney je izjavila za 'Observer' da "ne bi svaki dan mijenjala grudnjak". S ovim se slaže dizajnerica donjeg rublja Naomi De Haan.

Ona klijentima savjetuje da grudnjak operu nakon što su ga nosile pet puta, i to ručno, u mlakoj vodi, blagim sredstvom poput šampona za bebe.

Ona prodaje luksuznije rublje, ali kaže da bi na isti način trebalo prati i druge grudnjake, osim sportskih, koje treba prati češće.

- Pranjem u perilici mogu se uništiti stvari poput delikatne čipke ili svile - upozorila je ona.

"Žice mogu iskočiti, boje izblijediti, a košarice se iskriviti"

Onima koji apsolutno moraju donje rublje prati u perilici, De Haan savetuje da grudnjake saviju tako da smanje rizik da se dijelovi zakače za druge komade ili zapletu, kao i da koriste posebne vrećice namijenjene pranju donjeg rublja.

- Nemojte prati u pretoploj vodi, popravite im oblik nakon što ih izvadite iz perilice i prostrite ih da se osuše ili ih ostavite da se suše na ravnoj površini - rekla je ona.

I najvažnija napomena, grudnjake nikad nemojte sušiti u sušilici. 

Ostavite traperice na miru

Sarah Clayton​, koja vodi kampanju 'Volite svoju odjeću' dobrotvorne organizacije za zaštitu životne sredine 'Wrap', kaže da ni traperice ne treba prati često i da ih je bolje jednostavno prozračiti nakon nošenja.

- Ako je na njima mrlja, pokušajte je očistiti vodom umjesto da perete cijele hlače - savjetuje Clayton.

​Provjetravati traperice umjesto pranja možda ne zvuči baš privlačno, ali čovjek koji se u njih stvarno razumije zdušno zagovara ovu metodu - Chip Bergh, direktor Levisa.

Ljudi su bili pomalo iznenađeni kad je Berg 2014. godine ponosno izjavio da traperice koje nosi nikad nije oprao.

Pet godina kasnije, novinarima CNN-a rekao je da još uvijek nisu nijednom prane, uprkos činjenici da su dotad navršile deset godina.

Profesor Groves s tim je stavom suglasan te predlaže držanje jeansa u zamrzivaču kako bi hladnoća ubila mikrobe. 

- To može djelovati čudno, posebno za traperice koje se nose svaki dan, ali to uglavnom rade oni koji ne žele da im stvari blijede - pojasnio je Groves.

Ovo bi, dodaje, trebalo primijeniti i na ostalu odjeću - ne samo na onu od jeansa, prenosi BBC.
