Oboljeli od Covid-19, koji imaju visoki krvni tlak, dvostruko su više izloženi smrtnom ishodu, pokazalo je najnovije međunarodno istraživanje, koje prenosi CNN..

Od ranije je poznato da visoki krvni tlak povećava rizik od ozbiljnih simptoma nakon infekcije koronavirusom, no studija objavljena u četvrtak u časopisu European Heart Journal pokazuje da je taj rizik uistinu velik.

Međunarodni tim istraživača, predvođen Fei Li i Ling Tao s Odjela za kardiologiju bolnice Xijing u gradu Xian u Kini proučavao je, naime, dokumentaciju 2.866 pacijenata liječenih u Wuhanu, u prvom žarištu pandemije.

Oko 30 posto pacijenata liječilo je visoki krvni tlak.

"Ubrzo nakon što smo u veljači u Wuhanu počeli liječiti pacijente od bolesti Covid-19, primijetili smo da je gotovo polovica umrlih pacijenata imala visok krvni tlak, što je mnogo veći postotak u usporedbi s drugima, koji su imali samo blage simptome" - ustvrdila je dr. Tao u izjavi.

Tim znanstvenika ustvrdio je da je među umrlima, na uzorku od 2.866 pacijenata, zabilježeno 4 posto bolesnika s visokim krvnim tlakom, u odnosu na 1,1 posto s normalnim tlakom.

Nakon uzimanja u obzir svih parametara, znanstvenici su zaključili da oboljeli od hipertenzije imaju dvostruko veći rizik od smrti nakon infekcije koronavirusom.

Istraživači su se potom fokusirali na vrstu lijekova kojom oboljeli reguliraju visoki krvni tlak.

Među liječnicima je i u jeku pandemije bila prisutna zabrinutost zbog lijekova protiv tlaka poznatih kao ACE-2 inhibitori i ARB, koji unutar organizma koriste mehanizam sličan putu koji koronavirus koristi za ulazak u stanice.

Liječnici su izražavali bojazan da upravo takvi lijekovi olakšavaju virusu zarazu.

Istraživači su detaljno proučavali omjere umrlih među bolesnicima koji su prestali uzimati lijekove za povišeni tlak i onih koji su nastavili i nisu pronašli dokaze za tezu da lijekovi pogoršavaju situaciju.

I 7,9 posto pacijenata koji su prekinuli s terapijom, naime, preminulo je.

"Bili smo prilično iznenađeni što ovi rezultati ne podržavaju našu početnu hipotezu, zapravo su otišli u suprotnom smjeru, s trendom u korist lijekova za tlak koji djeluju kao ACE inhibitori i ARB", rekla je dr. Tao.

"Stoga predlažemo da pacijenti ne prekidaju ili mijenjaju uobičajeno antihipertenzivno liječenje, osim ako to iz određenih razloga nije propisao liječnik."

"Važno je da pacijenti s visokim krvnim tlakom shvate da zaista imaju povećan rizik od umiranja od Covid-19.

Trebaju dobro brinuti o sebi i pojačano se štititi tijekom pandemije. Trebaju biti svjesni rizika infekcije i da bi njihov oporavak mogao biti teži i kompliciraniji, poručili su znanstvenici.

Oboljeli od Covid-19, koji imaju visoki krvni tlak, dvostruko su više izloženi smrtnom ishodu, pokazalo je najnovije međunarodno istraživanje, koje prenosi CNN..

Od ranije je poznato da visoki krvni tlak povećava rizik od ozbiljnih simptoma nakon infekcije koronavirusom, no studija objavljena u četvrtak u časopisu European Heart Journal pokazuje da je taj rizik uistinu velik.

Međunarodni tim istraživača, predvođen Fei Li i Ling Tao s Odjela za kardiologiju bolnice Xijing u gradu Xian u Kini proučavao je, naime, dokumentaciju 2.866 pacijenata liječenih u Wuhanu, u prvom žarištu pandemije.

Oko 30 posto pacijenata liječilo je visoki krvni tlak.

"Ubrzo nakon što smo u veljači u Wuhanu počeli liječiti pacijente od bolesti Covid-19, primijetili smo da je gotovo polovica umrlih pacijenata imala visok krvni tlak, što je mnogo veći postotak u usporedbi s drugima, koji su imali samo blage simptome" - ustvrdila je dr. Tao u izjavi.

Tim znanstvenika ustvrdio je da je među umrlima, na uzorku od 2.866 pacijenata, zabilježeno 4 posto bolesnika s visokim krvnim tlakom, u odnosu na 1,1 posto s normalnim tlakom.

Nakon uzimanja u obzir svih parametara, znanstvenici su zaključili da oboljeli od hipertenzije imaju dvostruko veći rizik od smrti nakon infekcije koronavirusom.

Istraživači su se potom fokusirali na vrstu lijekova kojom oboljeli reguliraju visoki krvni tlak.

Među liječnicima je i u jeku pandemije bila prisutna zabrinutost zbog lijekova protiv tlaka poznatih kao ACE-2 inhibitori i ARB, koji unutar organizma koriste mehanizam sličan putu koji koronavirus koristi za ulazak u stanice.

Liječnici su izražavali bojazan da upravo takvi lijekovi olakšavaju virusu zarazu.

Istraživači su detaljno proučavali omjere umrlih među bolesnicima koji su prestali uzimati lijekove za povišeni tlak i onih koji su nastavili i nisu pronašli dokaze za tezu da lijekovi pogoršavaju situaciju.

I 7,9 posto pacijenata koji su prekinuli s terapijom, naime, preminulo je.

"Bili smo prilično iznenađeni što ovi rezultati ne podržavaju našu početnu hipotezu, zapravo su otišli u suprotnom smjeru, s trendom u korist lijekova za tlak koji djeluju kao ACE inhibitori i ARB", rekla je dr. Tao.

"Stoga predlažemo da pacijenti ne prekidaju ili mijenjaju uobičajeno antihipertenzivno liječenje, osim ako to iz određenih razloga nije propisao liječnik."

Trebaju dobro brinuti o sebi i pojačano se štititi tijekom pandemije. Trebaju biti svjesni rizika infekcije i da bi njihov oporavak mogao biti teži i kompliciraniji, poručili su znanstvenici.

Oboljeli od Covid-19, koji imaju visoki krvni tlak, dvostruko su više izloženi smrtnom ishodu, pokazalo je najnovije međunarodno istraživanje, koje prenosi CNN..

Od ranije je poznato da visoki krvni tlak povećava rizik od ozbiljnih simptoma nakon infekcije koronavirusom, no studija objavljena u četvrtak u časopisu European Heart Journal pokazuje da je taj rizik uistinu velik.

Međunarodni tim istraživača, predvođen Fei Li i Ling Tao s Odjela za kardiologiju bolnice Xijing u gradu Xian u Kini proučavao je, naime, dokumentaciju 2.866 pacijenata liječenih u Wuhanu, u prvom žarištu pandemije.

Oko 30 posto pacijenata liječilo je visoki krvni tlak.
