Prema najnovijem istraživanju, dvoje od petero Amerikanaca pogrešno je dijagnosticiralo svoje zdravstvene probleme. Zbog konzultiranja 'dr. Googlea', odnosno internetskog pretraživanja simptoma, uvjerili su sebe da pate od teške bolesti, prenosi Daily Mail.

Istraživanje u kojem je sudjelovalo dvije tisuće američkih državljana pokazalo je da četrdeset i tri posto ljudi pretražuje svoje simptome online nakon čega su uvjereni da je njihovo stanje ozbiljnije nego što uistinu jest.

Šezdeset i pet ispitanika kazalo je da koriste internet za samodijagnozu, ali kako piše Daily Mail, ovaj postupak može vam donijeti više zla nego dobra.

Sedamdeset četiri posto ispitanika koji koriste internet u tu svrhu, kasnije su znatno više zabrinuti za vlastito zdravlje čemu vjerojatno doprinose odgovori koje im je dao Google pretraživač. Također, takvi medicinski savjeti pogrešni su u više od šezdeset posto slučajeva. 

Ipak, prema narudžbi tvrtke LetsGetChecked, a koju je proveo OnePoll, istraživanje je pokazalo da pretraživanje weba nije baš kod svakoga prvi izbor dijagnoze - kada se ispitanici osjećaju bolesno, polovina (51 posto) kaže da se prvo obrate liječniku.

Istovremeno, četvrtina ispitanih (26 posto) nema liječnika primarne njege, a šest od deset ispitanika aktivno izbjegava posjet liječniku.

- Ovo istraživanje pokazuje da znatan broj ljudi živi s mislima o simptomima koje ne razumiju ili su ih pogrešno dijagnosticirali - kazao je liječnik Robert Mordkin iz tvrtke LetsGetChecked. 

- Edukacija i rad na sebi mogu biti dobra stvar, ali važno je da odete na objektivan pregled. Podatak da se više od polovice odraslih u SAD-u obraća Googleu kako bi saznali više o svojim simptomima je uznemirujuć. Činjenica da ugovaranje pregleda kod liječnika može potrajati tjednima ili mjesecima, ukazuje na potrebu za boljim rješenjima za testiranje, upravljanje i poznavanje vašeg zdravlja zaključio je dr. Mordkin iz tvrtke LetsGetChecked, prenosi Daily Mail.

Prema najnovijem istraživanju, dvoje od petero Amerikanaca pogrešno je dijagnosticiralo svoje zdravstvene probleme. Zbog konzultiranja 'dr. Googlea', odnosno internetskog pretraživanja simptoma, uvjerili su sebe da pate od teške bolesti, prenosi Daily Mail.

Istraživanje u kojem je sudjelovalo dvije tisuće američkih državljana pokazalo je da četrdeset i tri posto ljudi pretražuje svoje simptome online nakon čega su uvjereni da je njihovo stanje ozbiljnije nego što uistinu jest.

Šezdeset i pet ispitanika kazalo je da koriste internet za samodijagnozu, ali kako piše Daily Mail, ovaj postupak može vam donijeti više zla nego dobra.

Sedamdeset četiri posto ispitanika koji koriste internet u tu svrhu, kasnije su znatno više zabrinuti za vlastito zdravlje čemu vjerojatno doprinose odgovori koje im je dao Google pretraživač. Također, takvi medicinski savjeti pogrešni su u više od šezdeset posto slučajeva. 

Ipak, prema narudžbi tvrtke LetsGetChecked, a koju je proveo OnePoll, istraživanje je pokazalo da pretraživanje weba nije baš kod svakoga prvi izbor dijagnoze - kada se ispitanici osjećaju bolesno, polovina (51 posto) kaže da se prvo obrate liječniku.

Istovremeno, četvrtina ispitanih (26 posto) nema liječnika primarne njege, a šest od deset ispitanika aktivno izbjegava posjet liječniku.

- Ovo istraživanje pokazuje da znatan broj ljudi živi s mislima o simptomima koje ne razumiju ili su ih pogrešno dijagnosticirali - kazao je liječnik Robert Mordkin iz tvrtke LetsGetChecked. 

- Edukacija i rad na sebi mogu biti dobra stvar, ali važno je da odete na objektivan pregled. Podatak da se više od polovice odraslih u SAD-u obraća Googleu kako bi saznali više o svojim simptomima je uznemirujuć. Činjenica da ugovaranje pregleda kod liječnika može potrajati tjednima ili mjesecima, ukazuje na potrebu za boljim rješenjima za testiranje, upravljanje i poznavanje vašeg zdravlja zaključio je dr. Mordkin iz tvrtke LetsGetChecked, prenosi Daily Mail.
