Oralni seks može uzrokovati tzv. bakterijsku vaginozu ili BV, pokazalo je istraživanje u časopisu PLoS Biology. Riječ je o seksualno prenosivoj infekciji koja je rezultat porušene ravnoteže između uobičajenih bakterija koje se nalaze u vagini.

Smatra se da u nastanku bakterijske vaginoze značajnu ulogu predstavlja biofilm stijenke rodnice koji predominanto čini Gardnerella vaginalis. Otprilike 50-75 posto žena s bakterijskom vaginozom nema simptome upale rodnice (asimptomatska upala), a u slučaju pojave određenih simptoma to su prvenstveno bjelkastosivkast, vodenkast, homogeni iscjedak neugodna mirisa po ribi, koji se najčešće javlja nakon spolnog odnosa ili tijekom mjesečnice.

Istraživači su istražili kakav učinak imaju bakterije iz usta na mikrobe koji žive i rastu u vagini. Bakterijska vaginoza obično nije ozbiljno stanje, ali treba ga liječiti, jer BV čini žene ranjivijima za obolijevanje od drugih spolno prenosivih bolesti i za razvoj mokraćnih infekcija.

Ako je žena trudna, to povećava rizik od preranog porođaja.

Kako možete znati imate li BV?

To je prilično uobičajena infekcija i žene koje je imaju mogu primijetiti da imaju neobičan iscjedak koji ima snažan miris po ribi.

Možda ćete primijetiti promjenu boje i konzistencije iscjetka, koji može postati sivkasto-bijeli i vodenast. Vaš liječnik opće prakse ili klinika za seksualno zdravlje mogu napraviti test brisa i provjeriti imate li bakterijsku vaginozu. Ako je rezultat pozitivan, može se tretirati antibioticima u obliku tableta, gelova ili krema. Žene koje nemaju BV imaju prirodno obilje "dobrih" bakterija zvanih laktobacili, koji vaginu drže kiselijom, s nižim pH. Ponekad se ova zdrava ravnoteža može porušiti, što omogućuje ostalim vaginalnim mikroorganizmima da se razmnože.

Zbog čega se to događa nije u potpunosti razjašnjeno, ali postoje veći rizici da će se to dogoditi ako:

- seksualno ste aktivni (iako i žene koje nisu imale seks mogu dobiti BV)

- promijenili ste seksualnog partnera

- imate IUD (kao sredstvo za kontracepciju)

- koristite parfumirane proizvode u vagini ili oko nje

Studija u PLoS Biology pokazala je da uobičajena vrsta bakterija koje se nalaze u ustima, koja je povezana s bolešću desni i zubnim plakom, može podržavati BV. Napravili su eksperimente na ljudskim uzorcima vagine i na miševima, kako bi ispitali ponašanje bakterija. Pokazalo se da bakterija iz usta, Fusobacterium nucleatum, pomaže rastu drugih bakterija, uključujući i BV.
Istraživači dr. Amanda Lewis sa Sveučilišta u Kaliforniji i njezini kolege kažu da nalazi pokazuju kako oralni seks može doprinijeti nekim slučajevima BV-a. Prof. Claudia Estcourt, glasnogovornica Britanskog udruženja za seksualno zdravlje i HIV, izjavila je da je ovakvo istraživanje važno za dodatno razumijevanje BV-a.

"Znamo da je BV stvarno složen problem s puno faktora koji mu pridonose", kaže Estcourt te dodaje da oralni seks može prenijeti spolno prenosive infekcije i druge bakterije koje mogu igrati ulogu u drugim zdravstvenim stanjima.

Oralni seks može uzrokovati tzv. bakterijsku vaginozu ili BV, pokazalo je istraživanje u časopisu PLoS Biology. Riječ je o seksualno prenosivoj infekciji koja je rezultat porušene ravnoteže između uobičajenih bakterija koje se nalaze u vagini.

Smatra se da u nastanku bakterijske vaginoze značajnu ulogu predstavlja biofilm stijenke rodnice koji predominanto čini Gardnerella vaginalis. Otprilike 50-75 posto žena s bakterijskom vaginozom nema simptome upale rodnice (asimptomatska upala), a u slučaju pojave određenih simptoma to su prvenstveno bjelkastosivkast, vodenkast, homogeni iscjedak neugodna mirisa po ribi, koji se najčešće javlja nakon spolnog odnosa ili tijekom mjesečnice.

Istraživači su istražili kakav učinak imaju bakterije iz usta na mikrobe koji žive i rastu u vagini. Bakterijska vaginoza obično nije ozbiljno stanje, ali treba ga liječiti, jer BV čini žene ranjivijima za obolijevanje od drugih spolno prenosivih bolesti i za razvoj mokraćnih infekcija.

Ako je žena trudna, to povećava rizik od preranog porođaja.

Kako možete znati imate li BV?

To je prilično uobičajena infekcija i žene koje je imaju mogu primijetiti da imaju neobičan iscjedak koji ima snažan miris po ribi.

Možda ćete primijetiti promjenu boje i konzistencije iscjetka, koji može postati sivkasto-bijeli i vodenast. Vaš liječnik opće prakse ili klinika za seksualno zdravlje mogu napraviti test brisa i provjeriti imate li bakterijsku vaginozu. Ako je rezultat pozitivan, može se tretirati antibioticima u obliku tableta, gelova ili krema. Žene koje nemaju BV imaju prirodno obilje "dobrih" bakterija zvanih laktobacili, koji vaginu drže kiselijom, s nižim pH. Ponekad se ova zdrava ravnoteža može porušiti, što omogućuje ostalim vaginalnim mikroorganizmima da se razmnože.

Zbog čega se to događa nije u potpunosti razjašnjeno, ali postoje veći rizici da će se to dogoditi ako:

- seksualno ste aktivni (iako i žene koje nisu imale seks mogu dobiti BV)

- promijenili ste seksualnog partnera

- imate IUD (kao sredstvo za kontracepciju)

- koristite parfumirane proizvode u vagini ili oko nje

Studija u PLoS Biology pokazala je da uobičajena vrsta bakterija koje se nalaze u ustima, koja je povezana s bolešću desni i zubnim plakom, može podržavati BV. Napravili su eksperimente na ljudskim uzorcima vagine i na miševima, kako bi ispitali ponašanje bakterija. Pokazalo se da bakterija iz usta, Fusobacterium nucleatum, pomaže rastu drugih bakterija, uključujući i BV.
Istraživači dr. Amanda Lewis sa Sveučilišta u Kaliforniji i njezini kolege kažu da nalazi pokazuju kako oralni seks može doprinijeti nekim slučajevima BV-a. Prof. Claudia Estcourt, glasnogovornica Britanskog udruženja za seksualno zdravlje i HIV, izjavila je da je ovakvo istraživanje važno za dodatno razumijevanje BV-a.

"Znamo da je BV stvarno složen problem s puno faktora koji mu pridonose", kaže Estcourt te dodaje da oralni seks može prenijeti spolno prenosive infekcije i druge bakterije koje mogu igrati ulogu u drugim zdravstvenim stanjima.

Oralni seks može uzrokovati tzv. bakterijsku vaginozu ili BV, pokazalo je istraživanje u časopisu PLoS Biology. Riječ je o seksualno prenosivoj infekciji koja je rezultat porušene ravnoteže između uobičajenih bakterija koje se nalaze u vagini.

Smatra se da u nastanku bakterijske vaginoze značajnu ulogu predstavlja biofilm stijenke rodnice koji predominanto čini Gardnerella vaginalis. Otprilike 50-75 posto žena s bakterijskom vaginozom nema simptome upale rodnice (asimptomatska upala), a u slučaju pojave određenih simptoma to su prvenstveno bjelkastosivkast, vodenkast, homogeni iscjedak neugodna mirisa po ribi, koji se najčešće javlja nakon spolnog odnosa ili tijekom mjesečnice.
