Krvni ugrušci koji se formiraju u jednoj ili više dubokih vena u tijelu mogu uzrokovati velike nevolje, što je stanje poznato kao duboka venska tromboza. Premda sama po sebi nije toliko opasna, može izazvati teške komplikacije kao što su plućna embolija (koja može završiti smrću) i kronična venska insuficijencija. Važno je stoga na vrijeme prepoznati stanje i započeti liječenje, kako bi se spriječile daljnje teške posljedice. U terapiju se uvode antikoagulantni lijekovi koji smanjuju zgrušavanje krvi, odnosno razrjeđuju krv. Ti lijekovi su vrlo važni i treba ih redovito piti, piše Živim.

Što ukazuje na vensku trombozu

Često je bolest bez izraženih simptoma, ali ima i znakova koji upućuju na nju. Karakteristično se javljaju otekline zahvaćenog ekstremiteta, bol, a ponekad i plavkasta boja kože. Često se osjeća jača bol pri podizanju stopala zahvaćene noge (Homanov znak). Također, savjetuje se biti oprezan u prepoznavanju važnog simptoma - šepanja nakon leta avionom, dulje vožnje automobilom ili ostalih dužih putovanja u sjedećem položaju. Šepanje i pozitivan Homanov znak nakon dužeg putovanja pobuđuje sumnju na duboku vensku trombozu. Sličan znak za uzbunu uočen je kod 42-godišnje žene čiji je slučaj opisan u stručnom časopisu The Lancet.

Prema šokantnom izvješću, žena je zamalo izgubila nogu nakon što se u dubokim venama u nozi stvorio krvni ugrušak. A mogući uzrok je iznenađujući koliko i šokantan - žena je svakodnevno jela grejp, a istraživači sugeriraju da je to možda pridonijelo stvaranju krvnog ugruška.

Što se dogodilo 42-godišnjoj Amerikanki

Liječnici hitne pomoći u Olimpiji, u američkoj državi Washington, liječili su 42-godišnju ženu u studenom 2008. nakon što je primljena sa simptomima nedostatka daha, vrtoglavicom i poteškoćama pri hodanju. Ultrazvučni pregled je pokazao da je imala veliki ugrušak koji joj je blokirao vene lijeve noge. Bila je u neposrednoj opasnosti da izgubi nogu zbog gangrene, ali, srećom, liječnici su uspjeli otopiti ugrušak lijekom ubrizganim izravno u blokiranu žilu.

Liječnici su potom saznali da je žena dan prije otišla na relativno dugo putovanje automobilom, od oko sat i pol, uzimala je dnevnu dozu estrogenskih oralnih kontraceptiva i imala je genetsku varijantu, nazvanu faktor V Leiden mutacija, koja je povezana s poremećajem krvnog ugruška. To su sve poznati faktori rizika za izazivanje duboke venske tromboze, no, ono što je "možda prevagnulo", prema izvješću liječnika, jest to što je svako jutro jela grejp kao dio dijete za mršavljenje koju je započela tri dana ranije. Naime, poznato je da sok od grejpa blokira djelovanje enzima zvanog CYP3A4 koji razgrađuje kontracepcijski hormon estrogen, a to povećava razinu koagulabilnosti - sklonost zgrušavanju krvi. Uz to, sok od grejpa razgrađuje se vrlo sporo, što znači da ima kumulativni učinak ako se uzima svakodnevno. Tako se dogodilo da je trećeg dana dijete za mršavljenje tijekom koje je pila sok od grejpa, razina estrogena bila mnogo viša od normalne, a to je, pak, pomoglo stvaranju ugruška.

Loša kombinacija grejpa i nekih statina

Komentirajući slučaj, dr. Trevor Baglin, britanski liječnik i konzultant hematolog, rekao je kako se iz ove studije slučaja čini da je grejp pojačao trombotski učinak kontracepcijske pilule u prisutnosti genetske predispozicije. "Međutim, vrijedi istaknuti da je ovo jedna studija slučaja i vrlo neobičan slučaj, rekao je dr. Baglin uz napomenu:.

- Predložio bih da se izbjegavaju sve ekstremne dijete jer mogu imati nepredvidive posljedice. Važno je napomenuti i da se ljudima koji uzimaju statine - lijekove za snižavanje kolesterola i koji imaju rizik od nastanka krvnih ugrušaka (genetska predispozicija, poremećaji zgrušavanja krvi, endovaskularni zahvat, uzimanje oralne kontracepcije, trudnoća), savjetuje da ne jedu grejp - kaže.

Jedna vrsta statina - simvastatin, ako se uzima sa sokom od grejpa, dokazano je, pojačava rizik od nuspojava. Nadalje, još jedan često propisivani statin - atorvastatin, također izaziva nuspojave ako se pije uz sok od grejpa u velikim količinama (više od 1,2 litre dnevno). Povremeno čašu soka od grejpa smijete popiti, piše Živim.

Krvni ugrušci koji se formiraju u jednoj ili više dubokih vena u tijelu mogu uzrokovati velike nevolje, što je stanje poznato kao duboka venska tromboza. Premda sama po sebi nije toliko opasna, može izazvati teške komplikacije kao što su plućna embolija (koja može završiti smrću) i kronična venska insuficijencija. Važno je stoga na vrijeme prepoznati stanje i započeti liječenje, kako bi se spriječile daljnje teške posljedice. U terapiju se uvode antikoagulantni lijekovi koji smanjuju zgrušavanje krvi, odnosno razrjeđuju krv. Ti lijekovi su vrlo važni i treba ih redovito piti, piše Živim.

Što ukazuje na vensku trombozu

Često je bolest bez izraženih simptoma, ali ima i znakova koji upućuju na nju. Karakteristično se javljaju otekline zahvaćenog ekstremiteta, bol, a ponekad i plavkasta boja kože. Često se osjeća jača bol pri podizanju stopala zahvaćene noge (Homanov znak). Također, savjetuje se biti oprezan u prepoznavanju važnog simptoma - šepanja nakon leta avionom, dulje vožnje automobilom ili ostalih dužih putovanja u sjedećem položaju. Šepanje i pozitivan Homanov znak nakon dužeg putovanja pobuđuje sumnju na duboku vensku trombozu. Sličan znak za uzbunu uočen je kod 42-godišnje žene čiji je slučaj opisan u stručnom časopisu The Lancet.

Prema šokantnom izvješću, žena je zamalo izgubila nogu nakon što se u dubokim venama u nozi stvorio krvni ugrušak. A mogući uzrok je iznenađujući koliko i šokantan - žena je svakodnevno jela grejp, a istraživači sugeriraju da je to možda pridonijelo stvaranju krvnog ugruška.

Što se dogodilo 42-godišnjoj Amerikanki

Liječnici hitne pomoći u Olimpiji, u američkoj državi Washington, liječili su 42-godišnju ženu u studenom 2008. nakon što je primljena sa simptomima nedostatka daha, vrtoglavicom i poteškoćama pri hodanju. Ultrazvučni pregled je pokazao da je imala veliki ugrušak koji joj je blokirao vene lijeve noge. Bila je u neposrednoj opasnosti da izgubi nogu zbog gangrene, ali, srećom, liječnici su uspjeli otopiti ugrušak lijekom ubrizganim izravno u blokiranu žilu.

Liječnici su potom saznali da je žena dan prije otišla na relativno dugo putovanje automobilom, od oko sat i pol, uzimala je dnevnu dozu estrogenskih oralnih kontraceptiva i imala je genetsku varijantu, nazvanu faktor V Leiden mutacija, koja je povezana s poremećajem krvnog ugruška. To su sve poznati faktori rizika za izazivanje duboke venske tromboze, no, ono što je "možda prevagnulo", prema izvješću liječnika, jest to što je svako jutro jela grejp kao dio dijete za mršavljenje koju je započela tri dana ranije. Naime, poznato je da sok od grejpa blokira djelovanje enzima zvanog CYP3A4 koji razgrađuje kontracepcijski hormon estrogen, a to povećava razinu koagulabilnosti - sklonost zgrušavanju krvi. Uz to, sok od grejpa razgrađuje se vrlo sporo, što znači da ima kumulativni učinak ako se uzima svakodnevno. Tako se dogodilo da je trećeg dana dijete za mršavljenje tijekom koje je pila sok od grejpa, razina estrogena bila mnogo viša od normalne, a to je, pak, pomoglo stvaranju ugruška.

Loša kombinacija grejpa i nekih statina

Komentirajući slučaj, dr. Trevor Baglin, britanski liječnik i konzultant hematolog, rekao je kako se iz ove studije slučaja čini da je grejp pojačao trombotski učinak kontracepcijske pilule u prisutnosti genetske predispozicije. "Međutim, vrijedi istaknuti da je ovo jedna studija slučaja i vrlo neobičan slučaj, rekao je dr. Baglin uz napomenu:.

- Predložio bih da se izbjegavaju sve ekstremne dijete jer mogu imati nepredvidive posljedice. Važno je napomenuti i da se ljudima koji uzimaju statine - lijekove za snižavanje kolesterola i koji imaju rizik od nastanka krvnih ugrušaka (genetska predispozicija, poremećaji zgrušavanja krvi, endovaskularni zahvat, uzimanje oralne kontracepcije, trudnoća), savjetuje da ne jedu grejp - kaže.

Jedna vrsta statina - simvastatin, ako se uzima sa sokom od grejpa, dokazano je, pojačava rizik od nuspojava. Nadalje, još jedan često propisivani statin - atorvastatin, također izaziva nuspojave ako se pije uz sok od grejpa u velikim količinama (više od 1,2 litre dnevno). Povremeno čašu soka od grejpa smijete popiti, piše Živim.
