Krvni ugrušci uobičajeno nastaju unutar krvne žile kada se ona ošteti ili kada se ozlijedimo. Aktivira se mehanizam zgrušavanja, odnosno nakupljanja trombocita što pomaže da se zaustavi krvarenje. Međutim, određeni poremećaji faktora zgrušavanja mogu uzrokovati krvne ugruške kada nisu potrebni. Autoimune bolesti, rak, infekcije i zatajenje organa mogu ometati osjetljivu kaskadu zgrušavanja i stvoriti krvne ugruške koji oštećuju tijelo. Također, pokazalo se i da covid infekcija povećava rizik od stvaranja krvnih ugrušaka, posebno u prva dva tjedna infekcije. Istraživači vjeruju da covid uzrokuje krvne ugruške zbog visoke razine upale povezane s infekcijom. Kako virus cirkulira u cijelom tijelu, stvaraju se antitijela koja se nakupljaju u uskim prostorima i potiču proizvodnju krvnih ugrušaka, piše Živim.

Tko je u opasnosti

"Ljudi koji su ranije imali ugruške, rak, imobilizaciju, stariji su ili su kritično bolesni imat će najveći rizik od zgrušavanja. Također, oni s kroničnim stanjima kao što su bolest koronarnih arterija, dijabetes, hipertenzija i poremećaji metabolizma izloženi su većem riziku od krvnih ugrušaka. Znakovi koji mogu upućivati na krvne ugruške

1. Iznenadno otežano disanje

Može biti znak da se stvorio ugrušak ili putuje do pluća. Ugrušak u plućima može jako opteretiti kardiovaskularni sustav i čak rezultirati zatajenjem srca.

2. Grčevi i oticanje bedra nakon duge vožnje automobilom

3. Iskašljavanje krvi

Može biti znak da je povećanje tlaka u plućima iz putujućeg ugruška uzrokovalo pucanje krvnih žila. Jedno od najčešćih mjesta putovanja krvnih ugrušaka su pluća. Bronhioli su mali dišni putevi koji pomažu u razmjeni zraka i lako mogu uhvatiti krvne ugruške i dovesti do plućne embolije.

4. Bol u prsima ili promjene u pulsu

Krvni ugrušak koji putuje do srca može se zaglaviti u osjetljivim tkivima koja kontroliraju otkucaje srca. Krvni ugrušci uobičajeno nastaju unutar krvne žile kada se ona ošteti ili kada se ozlijedimo. Aktivira se mehanizam zgrušavanja, odnosno nakupljanja trombocita što pomaže da se zaustavi krvarenje. Međutim, određeni poremećaji faktora zgrušavanja mogu uzrokovati krvne ugruške kada nisu potrebni. Autoimune bolesti, rak, infekcije i zatajenje organa mogu ometati osjetljivu kaskadu zgrušavanja i stvoriti krvne ugruške koji oštećuju tijelo. Također, pokazalo se i da covid infekcija povećava rizik od stvaranja krvnih ugrušaka, posebno u prva dva tjedna infekcije. Istraživači vjeruju da covid uzrokuje krvne ugruške zbog visoke razine upale povezane s infekcijom. Kako virus cirkulira u cijelom tijelu, stvaraju se antitijela koja se nakupljaju u uskim prostorima i potiču proizvodnju krvnih ugrušaka, piše Živim.

Tko je u opasnosti

"Ljudi koji su ranije imali ugruške, rak, imobilizaciju, stariji su ili su kritično bolesni imat će najveći rizik od zgrušavanja. Također, oni s kroničnim stanjima kao što su bolest koronarnih arterija, dijabetes, hipertenzija i poremećaji metabolizma izloženi su većem riziku od krvnih ugrušaka. Starija dob (iznad 65) i uzimanje određenih hormona također povisuju rizik" kaže dr. Thomas Gut, docent na katedri za medicinu u Sveučilišnoj bolnici Staten Island, za "Eat This, Not That”. Postoje i načini kako si možete pomoći i spriječiti krvne ugruške, a uključuju nošenje široke odjeće, redovito hodanje, jedenje manje soli i podizanje nogu na povišeno (osobito noću).

Kada biste trebali posjetiti liječnika

Ako primijetite nove otekline ruku ili nogu, područja crvenila ili boli ili temperaturne promjene u jednom ekstremitetu, trebali biste odmah posjetiti liječnika.

"Brzo liječenje je ključno. Krvni ugrušci mogu brzo putovati od ekstremiteta do srca ili mozga, uzrokujući srčani ili moždani udar," upozorava dr. Gut.

Znakovi koji mogu upućivati na krvne ugruške

1. Iznenadno otežano disanje

Može biti znak da se stvorio ugrušak ili putuje do pluća. Ugrušak u plućima može jako opteretiti kardiovaskularni sustav i čak rezultirati zatajenjem srca.

2. Grčevi i oticanje bedra nakon duge vožnje automobilom

Ako vam se jedno od bedara grči i otiče nakon duge vožnje automobilom, to može biti znak da se u nozi stvorio ugrušak, pogotovo ako se krv skupila i nije dobro cirkulirala.

3. Iskašljavanje krvi

Može biti znak da je povećanje tlaka u plućima iz putujućeg ugruška uzrokovalo pucanje krvnih žila. Jedno od najčešćih mjesta putovanja krvnih ugrušaka su pluća. Bronhioli su mali dišni putevi koji pomažu u razmjeni zraka i lako mogu uhvatiti krvne ugruške i dovesti do plućne embolije.

4. Bol u prsima ili promjene u pulsu

Krvni ugrušak koji putuje do srca može se zaglaviti u osjetljivim tkivima koja kontroliraju otkucaje srca. Kada krvni ugrušak putuje do srca, obično ga prate jaki bolovi u prsima ili poteškoće s disanjem. Ako primijetite novu bol u prsima, bol u ramenima ili ruci, otežano disanje ili neočekivane promjene u pulsu, odmah potražite liječničku pomoć.

5. Bol ili crvenilo

"Zaštitni znak” krvnog ugruška ima simptome u jednom ekstremitetu, a ne u drugom. Na primjer, desna noga može imati crvenilo, bol ili oteklinu, a koje nije prisutno na lijevoj nozi. Ovaj znak treba shvatiti ozbiljno i potražiti hitno liječničku pomoć.
