Aorta, glavna i najveća krvna arterija, koja prenosi krv iz srca u ostatak tijela, dobila je posebnu čast u medicinskom svijetu - priznata je kao zaseban ljudski organ. 

"Velik je to korak", kazao je Martin Czerny iz Sveučilišne bolnice Freiburg u Njemačkoj. "Priznanje aorte kao organa stavlja je u rang s ostalim organima, srcem, plućima i mozgom."

Novi status organa vrijedi u zemljama Europske unije i u Sjedinjenim Državama, nakon što je kao takav definiran u smjernicama Europske udruge za kardiotorakalnu kirurgiju (EACTS) i Američkog društva torakalnih kirurga (STS).

I za pacijente će ova odluka činiti razliku jer će klinički proces za mnoge među njima koji se liječe od bolesti aorte odsad vjerojatno biti drugačiji i, nadamo se, optimalniji.

Dosad je bilo uobičajeno da se bolesti aorte liječe ili u kardiokirurgiji ili u vaskularnoj kirurgiji, ovisno o vrsti i lokalizaciji.

"Nove smjernice jasno preporučuju liječenje aorte u sklopu zasebnoga medicinskog područja. Ono treba biti povezano s ostalim sličnim područjima medicine", pojasnio je Czerny, direktor bolnice za kardiovaskularnu kirurgiju u Njemačkoj.

Sve to će poboljšati liječenje ruptura aorte i ostalih ozbiljnih bolesti, kazao je Czerny.

Aorta je odgovorna za transport krvi bogate kisikom iz srca u tijelo. Ta velika krvna žila najveća je arterija u tijelu i proteže se od lijeve klijetke do žila u području zdjelice.  Ima i značajnu ulogu u regulaciji krvnog tlaka i brzini protoka krvi.

Aorta, glavna i najveća krvna arterija, koja prenosi krv iz srca u ostatak tijela, dobila je posebnu čast u medicinskom svijetu - priznata je kao zaseban ljudski organ. 

"Velik je to korak", kazao je Martin Czerny iz Sveučilišne bolnice Freiburg u Njemačkoj. "Priznanje aorte kao organa stavlja je u rang s ostalim organima, srcem, plućima i mozgom."

Novi status organa vrijedi u zemljama Europske unije i u Sjedinjenim Državama, nakon što je kao takav definiran u smjernicama Europske udruge za kardiotorakalnu kirurgiju (EACTS) i Američkog društva torakalnih kirurga (STS).

I za pacijente će ova odluka činiti razliku jer će klinički proces za mnoge među njima koji se liječe od bolesti aorte odsad vjerojatno biti drugačiji i, nadamo se, optimalniji.

Dosad je bilo uobičajeno da se bolesti aorte liječe ili u kardiokirurgiji ili u vaskularnoj kirurgiji, ovisno o vrsti i lokalizaciji.

"Nove smjernice jasno preporučuju liječenje aorte u sklopu zasebnoga medicinskog područja. Ono treba biti povezano s ostalim sličnim područjima medicine", pojasnio je Czerny, direktor bolnice za kardiovaskularnu kirurgiju u Njemačkoj.

Sve to će poboljšati liječenje ruptura aorte i ostalih ozbiljnih bolesti, kazao je Czerny.

Aorta je odgovorna za transport krvi bogate kisikom iz srca u tijelo. Ta velika krvna žila najveća je arterija u tijelu i proteže se od lijeve klijetke do žila u području zdjelice.  Ima i značajnu ulogu u regulaciji krvnog tlaka i brzini protoka krvi.

Medicinari napokon odlučili: Najveća arterija u tijelu priznata kao zaseban ljudski organ, za sada u EU i SAD-u

Aorta, glavna i najveća krvna arterija, koja prenosi krv iz srca u ostatak tijela, dobila je posebnu čast u medicinskom svijetu - priznata je kao zaseban ljudski organ. 

"Velik je to korak", kazao je Martin Czerny iz Sveučilišne bolnice Freiburg u Njemačkoj. "Priznanje aorte kao organa stavlja je u rang s ostalim organima, srcem, plućima i mozgom."

Novi status organa vrijedi u zemljama Europske unije i u Sjedinjenim Državama, nakon što je kao takav definiran u smjernicama Europske udruge za kardiotorakalnu kirurgiju (EACTS) i Američkog društva torakalnih kirurga (STS).

I za pacijente će ova odluka činiti razliku jer će klinički proces za mnoge među njima koji se liječe od bolesti aorte odsad vjerojatno biti drugačiji i, nadamo se, optimalniji.

Dosad je bilo uobičajeno da se bolesti aorte liječe ili u kardiokirurgiji ili u vaskularnoj kirurgiji, ovisno o vrsti i lokalizaciji.
