Kad je riječ o posljednjim saznanjima po pitanju koronavirusa, kao jedna od nuspojava navodi se sve češće i pojačani gubitak kose. Temu je dodatno potaknula hollywoodska glumica Alyssa Milano objavivši video u kojemu pokazuje kako izgleda četkanje nakon što je preboljela Covid-19.

No koliko u priči ima znanstvenih uporišta?

- Mislim da nam je ovo saznanje svima još jednom dokazalo koliko stresna ova infekcija može biti za naše tijelo, komentirao je neočekivanu nuspojavu za Yahoo Life dermatolog dr. Pedram Yazdan.

Telogen effluvium pojava je koja označava privremeno opadanje kose, a može biti izazvana raznim stanjima - od naglog gubitka težine do pretjeranog stresa, događa se rjeđe i nakon trudnoće ili operacija, a traje 3-6 mjeseci od stresnog događaja. U zadnje vrijeme ubraja se među 25 najčešćih nuspojava kod pacijenata koji su preboljeli Covid-19.

Podaci su temeljeni na istraživanju provedenom na 1500 pacijenata, a koje je izašlo krajem srpnja. Dr. Natalie Lambert, profesorica na Sveučilištu u Indiani, potvrdila je kako je više ispitanika iskusilo gubitak kose nego slinav nos ili mučninu - dva simptoma koja su se dosad uvijek povezivala s koronavirusom.

Ovo istraživanje nije jedino koje se osvrće na pitanje. Ono objavljeno u Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology u travnju prijavljuje "visoku učestalost" gubitka kose kod muškaraca kod pacijenata oboljelih od bolesti Covid-19 u Španjolskoj. U intervjuu za USA Today krajem srpnja liječnica Lenox bolnice u New Yorku potvrdila je da pacijenti odlaze iz bolnice i ostavljaju "vrećice kose" za sobom.

Telogen effluvium povezuje se već s infekcijama poput malarije ili sifilisa, no kad je u pitanju Covid-19, ne postoji "jedan mehanizam" koji bi objasnio posljedicu. 

- Moglo bi biti do same zaraze, moglo bi biti i do prehrane, do stresa pod kojim je tijelo pacijenta - fizičkog i medicinskog. Neki pacijenti pod stresom su i pati njihovo mentalno zdravlje, zabilježavamo i pojačanu anksioznost... Sve to može doprinijeti opadanju kose, potvrđuje Yazdan.

Stres koji se povezuje s pandemijom zasigurno igra značajnu ulogu, zaključuje. I može sam po sebi, pa čak i bez oboljenja, smatra, prouzrokovati nuspojavu kao što je gubitak kose. Sama činjenica da se velika većina još uvijek nalazi u stresnim situacijama koje doživljavaju po prvi put u životu, poput izolacije i odvojenosti od najdražih, gubitka posla ili drugih promjena koje je donijela "korona", može pridonijeti problemu o kojemu je u svome videu govorila i glumica Alyssa Milano.

- Kod nekih pacijenata se pak nakon oboljenja promijeni apetit, a to doprinosi i konačnom gubitku težine. Jedna od najznačajnih stvari kad je zdravlje kose u pitanju pravilna je ishrana i unos dovoljnih količina nutrijenata u tijelo. Mnogi nakon što obole uopće nemaju apetita i značajno gube na težini..., tvrdi liječnik Yazdan.

Jedina pozitivna stvar koja se može povezati s čitavom pričom je njena kratkotrajnost. Gubitak je, naime, privremen. 

No onima koji se u ovom trenutku bore s tim, sigurno nije lako. Stoga je jedini savjet koji im stručnjaci mogu dati smanjiti izvore stresa na minimum, kao i voditi računa o što pravilnijoj prehrani.

Kad je riječ o posljednjim saznanjima po pitanju koronavirusa, kao jedna od nuspojava navodi se sve češće i pojačani gubitak kose. Temu je dodatno potaknula hollywoodska glumica Alyssa Milano objavivši video u kojemu pokazuje kako izgleda četkanje nakon što je preboljela Covid-19.

No koliko u priči ima znanstvenih uporišta?

- Mislim da nam je ovo saznanje svima još jednom dokazalo koliko stresna ova infekcija može biti za naše tijelo, komentirao je neočekivanu nuspojavu za Yahoo Life dermatolog dr. Pedram Yazdan.

Telogen effluvium pojava je koja označava privremeno opadanje kose, a može biti izazvana raznim stanjima - od naglog gubitka težine do pretjeranog stresa, događa se rjeđe i nakon trudnoće ili operacija, a traje 3-6 mjeseci od stresnog događaja. U zadnje vrijeme ubraja se među 25 najčešćih nuspojava kod pacijenata koji su preboljeli Covid-19.

Podaci su temeljeni na istraživanju provedenom na 1500 pacijenata, a koje je izašlo krajem srpnja. Dr. Natalie Lambert, profesorica na Sveučilištu u Indiani, potvrdila je kako je više ispitanika iskusilo gubitak kose nego slinav nos ili mučninu - dva simptoma koja su se dosad uvijek povezivala s koronavirusom.

Ovo istraživanje nije jedino koje se osvrće na pitanje. Ono objavljeno u Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology u travnju prijavljuje "visoku učestalost" gubitka kose kod muškaraca kod pacijenata oboljelih od bolesti Covid-19 u Španjolskoj. U intervjuu za USA Today krajem srpnja liječnica Lenox bolnice u New Yorku potvrdila je da pacijenti odlaze iz bolnice i ostavljaju "vrećice kose" za sobom.

Telogen effluvium povezuje se već s infekcijama poput malarije ili sifilisa, no kad je u pitanju Covid-19, ne postoji "jedan mehanizam" koji bi objasnio posljedicu. 

- Moglo bi biti do same zaraze, moglo bi biti i do prehrane, do stresa pod kojim je tijelo pacijenta - fizičkog i medicinskog. Neki pacijenti pod stresom su i pati njihovo mentalno zdravlje, zabilježavamo i pojačanu anksioznost... Sve to može doprinijeti opadanju kose, potvrđuje Yazdan.

Stres koji se povezuje s pandemijom zasigurno igra značajnu ulogu, zaključuje. I može sam po sebi, pa čak i bez oboljenja, smatra, prouzrokovati nuspojavu kao što je gubitak kose. Sama činjenica da se velika većina još uvijek nalazi u stresnim situacijama koje doživljavaju po prvi put u životu, poput izolacije i odvojenosti od najdražih, gubitka posla ili drugih promjena koje je donijela "korona", može pridonijeti problemu o kojemu je u svome videu govorila i glumica Alyssa Milano.

- Kod nekih pacijenata se pak nakon oboljenja promijeni apetit, a to doprinosi i konačnom gubitku težine. Jedna od najznačajnih stvari kad je zdravlje kose u pitanju pravilna je ishrana i unos dovoljnih količina nutrijenata u tijelo. Mnogi nakon što obole uopće nemaju apetita i značajno gube na težini..., tvrdi liječnik Yazdan.

Jedina pozitivna stvar koja se može povezati s čitavom pričom je njena kratkotrajnost. Gubitak je, naime, privremen.

Kad je riječ o posljednjim saznanjima po pitanju koronavirusa, kao jedna od nuspojava navodi se sve češće i pojačani gubitak kose. Temu je dodatno potaknula hollywoodska glumica Alyssa Milano objavivši video u kojemu pokazuje kako izgleda četkanje nakon što je preboljela Covid-19.
