Pretila djeca mogu biti izložena većem riziku da im se u ranoj odrasloj dobi dijagnosticira multipla skleroza, pokazuje nova studija.

Čini se da je rizik od dijagnoze multiple skleroze (MS) dvostruko veći među debelom djecom u usporedbi s onom koja to nisu, objavljeno je u švedskoj studiji.

Akademici s Karolinska instituta u Stockholmu analizirali su podatke iz švedskog Registra liječenja pretilosti u djece. Baza podataka, poznata kao Boris, jedan je od najvećih svjetskih registara za liječenje pretilosti u dječjoj dobi.

Istraživački tim pregledao je podatke o djeci u dobi od dvije do 19 godina koja su upisana u registar između 1995. i 2020. te usporedio njihove podatke s djecom u općoj populaciji.

Njihova studija uključila je podatke o više od 21.600 djece s pretilošću, koja su započela s liječenjem od pretilosti u prosječnoj dobi od 11 godina, te više od 100.000 djece bez pretilosti.

Djeca uključena u studiju, koja bi trebala biti predstavljena na Europskom kongresu o pretilosti u svibnju u Veneciji, praćena su u prosjeku šest godina.

Prosječna dob dijagnoze MS-a bila je oko 23. godine.

"Jedan od učinaka pretilosti u djetinjstvu je taj što uzrokuje slabu, ali kroničnu upalu, a ta upala povećava rizik od razvoja nekoliko bolesti kao što je multipla skleroza", rekli su autori studije, profesorica Emilia Hagman i profesor Claude Marcus.

Tijekom razdoblja praćenja, multipla skleroza dijagnosticirana je kod 28 gojaznih osoba, što čini 0,13 posto skupine te kod 58 osoba bez pretilosti, što čini 0,06 posto skupine.

Pretila djeca mogu biti izložena većem riziku da im se u ranoj odrasloj dobi dijagnosticira multipla skleroza, pokazuje nova studija.

Čini se da je rizik od dijagnoze multiple skleroze (MS) dvostruko veći među debelom djecom u usporedbi s onom koja to nisu, objavljeno je u švedskoj studiji.

Akademici s Karolinska instituta u Stockholmu analizirali su podatke iz švedskog Registra liječenja pretilosti u djece. Baza podataka, poznata kao Boris, jedan je od najvećih svjetskih registara za liječenje pretilosti u dječjoj dobi.

Istraživački tim pregledao je podatke o djeci u dobi od dvije do 19 godina koja su upisana u registar između 1995. i 2020. te usporedio njihove podatke s djecom u općoj populaciji.

Njihova studija uključila je podatke o više od 21.600 djece s pretilošću, koja su započela s liječenjem od pretilosti u prosječnoj dobi od 11 godina, te više od 100.000 djece bez pretilosti.

Tijekom razdoblja praćenja, multipla skleroza dijagnosticirana je kod 28 gojaznih osoba, što čini 0,13 posto skupine te kod 58 osoba bez pretilosti, što čini 0,06 posto skupine.

Nova švedska studija pokazuje da gojazna djeca imaju veći rizik od razvoja multiple skleroze

Pretila djeca mogu biti izložena većem riziku da im se u ranoj odrasloj dobi dijagnosticira multipla skleroza, pokazuje nova studija.

Čini se da je rizik od dijagnoze multiple skleroze (MS) dvostruko veći među debelom djecom u usporedbi s onom koja to nisu, objavljeno je u švedskoj studiji.

Akademici s Karolinska instituta u Stockholmu analizirali su podatke iz švedskog Registra liječenja pretilosti u djece. Baza podataka, poznata kao Boris, jedan je od najvećih svjetskih registara za liječenje pretilosti u dječjoj dobi.

Istraživački tim pregledao je podatke o djeci u dobi od dvije do 19 godina koja su upisana u registar između 1995. i 2020. te usporedio njihove podatke s djecom u općoj populaciji.

Njihova studija uključila je podatke o više od 21.600 djece s pretilošću, koja su započela s liječenjem od pretilosti u prosječnoj dobi od 11 godina, te više od 100.000 djece bez pretilosti.
